shocking new revelation

so ya i have a very shocking revelation to make, especially for the ppl who know me, but before that, i want to re introduce a few things.

so over the past 2 months, the ppl i know and ppl who know me have probably tripled. my definition of know is quite different, cos these are ppl that i spent substantial time with or at least enough to cross that line of stranger.

ya im not joking, its abt triple now. but that's not the shocking revelation. its probably common for nsmen. but for me its a huge makeover for the ppl i know now. so im like going to reintroduce myself.

im kind of a jc kid, in army terms, but that's not really true. my sch is quite different in the sense that its 6 years, small cohort, and i dint have to take a levels. so i had quite an easy life, even though acads were conceptually hard. im not as smart as u think, in fact ppl who know me know im a blur cock, and in army im still a kanchiong spider, always panicking. its not so bad now, and im given a chance (thankfully) to start anew and i feel like im quite well off now. im glad i ended up as a men in arty, mentioned in my previous post.

but anyway, my point is that before these two months, im the low profile guy (except internally quite known for being blur). my first true friends i made in sec 3, where i started trying to fit in since i dint really had friends before. and these are ppl i have stuck with for all the way till now, through hostel and many memories.

my point is that till before army i only had 10-20 friends past the good friends line, and they are like super impt to me since they are essentially my first few true friends (not technically but ya).
so the whole point of saying this is only those ppl who know me know of this site, so i write as if im talking to them (or u basically). if ur here at this point of time, ur either them, or u somehow found the super few links that exist here.

idk what interested any good stalking to come here, since im not active on social media and not the kind to promote my blog or aim for many hits and likes. i don't insta la basically, but i do abit of stalking nowadays cos there's a lotttt of interesting ppl ive met. even my sergeants im curious as to how they've changed.

anyway, i will try to talk like before, but my mentality has did a 3600 degree already. compared to my first post i have come a longggg way. don't read it i find it freaking embarrassing now. alot of my previous post also make me sound like a retard haha. yes im embarassed abt the plenty of unglamorous stuff i did before, but i think im relatively guai ah, still haven't done things like partying clubbing or drinking that kind. quite an excessive but amateur gamer. like to watch anime and running man too haha.

if u haven't met me in a long time, im much more talkative now, only around ppl im comfortable with though. in army i learnt how to get familiar with ppl, and i know how to not alienate ppl, if the conditions are right. like i said, im a kanchiong spider so i make mistakes like nobody's business, like i take something in a rush and leave another thing there. that's essentially how my bmt went lol.

but ya i have changed from being awkward to even speak up to now being able to ask all sorts of questions, even the seemingly obvious and stupid one's i dare to ask alr. but im not an attention seeker, i don't really like to stand out externally, just trying to be friendly with ppl im close or comfortable with.

idk what started the change, but it was an important adaptation cos it help me speak out and get my shit together. im somehow gained the confidence to open up to ppl, and i guess having stories to tell and knowledge to share helps a lot in becoming more interesting. i like to think that from being a teenager, im always trying to improve myself to become a more likeable and fun-loving person, though i was slightly outcasted last time because im not a nice person to be in a team with (due to all the screwups), but just someone nice to talk to.

i kind of know my purpose in ns now, which is to become like my parent's essentially. its a very good opportunity in ns since its two years, and even if im just a men, there is time to get my shit together, be more capable, stop running away from problems, and learn how to solve and handle basic things. i kind of want to keep my personality though, it has made me very good friends so far.

ok enough chatterboxing. the shocking revelation is that, i go to church now. for those who know me, u must be going "Holy fkkk!!", or maybe it dint surprise u at all. im not saying im atheist before, or im all holy and religious now, its a slow thing. but its fun i got to admit. and im no longer afraid to say i go church now lest people judge me. there's a lot of justification to it.

anyway, it started with me helping my section mate do his bic, cos they needed another person to do twice. it wasn't supposed to be me at first, but i took it for him anyway, since i found the experience interesting even though it was shagggg. long story short it ended up with him introducing me to church, which i at that point considered as a outing, an activity i never tried before.

it ended up with me crying on the first preaching. it was more serious of a lesson that day. i cried cos all my life i have felt the issue of not being confident enough to put myself in the middle, always restraining myself because i felt inferior to the rest. very true in bmt, i always felt that stress in me, long before. except in front of those 10+ close friends i made in high school.

i felt the healing effect of crying it out and daring to show weakness in front of everybody. it was a holy place after all, one where u bare ur soul and try not to feel ashamed. and then i made a decision to convert. actually it was more of accept, and of cos i dint have an actual clear concept of what i was doing yet, just a kind of commitment to this interesting experience and i will try it again.

today is just the second time i came, and at first i was still not very sure if church is the thing for me, but today was a great session, seriously. its like god has some invisible eyes and the timing of the lesson was exactly what i was reflecting about how i've changed. it does feel like something is done to ur soul, like opening u up and making u feel more accepted and willing to share weakness.

ok this must be pretty cheesy to my sceptical-about religion friends. pls don't judge me, i won't try to pull u in either. but it is a especially good source of motivation to nsmen. u need some purpose and also for me it gave me a bit more confidence, which i really needed, and helped me start anew on a good note. and i do feel freaking lucky to end up in arty, it really suits me i think.

i know i might have adapted anywhere, but nvr before had i have such a concrete idea of why i needed to serve ns and what i shud try to achieve, and if i think abt it, its actually quite miraculous. its not hard to believe i was blessed with such compatibility in my unit and now i actually hope i can do well and have fun in ns. it is so much more bearable than bmt. the experiences i've had to this point feels pre-planned, so of cos im slowly starting to believe that holy crap, something is actually helping me shape my life well haha.

i seriously wont pull u in, tbh im still not fully convinced god exists, i don't get all those visions yet. but i have accepted that something wondrous is happening and its helping me grow into the adult i want to be. and its seriously relatable to ns. like how ns feels like a place for me to become the adult, and suddenly my path is clearer like nvr before. like all i need to do is follow and have faith it will bring me to my dream life.

i have a concrete goal that i have never had before, and i just feel like sharing it. im slowly changing, now i have a few more ppl to whatsapp to and tell ppl things i have never tried saying before. its fun and good, that's why im sharing it.

so ya, im supposed to believe i have a destiny, and i will surely achieve my dream, just need to believe im perfect for my destiny, i will achieve it no matter what happens, and my future is bright. its such a good thing to believe in right? gives me assurance that i will succeed. like how running a 10:34 has made me feel like i have no probs with running. im a light, agile person that can become quite strong. and how surviving 24km and kestrel makes me believe anything less harder i will be able to bear it. its like a lifesaver attitude for ns, which is supposedly hated by many.

i feel im lucky, and i hope i can achieve my dream in the future, together with all this nice ppl who bothered to help me understand this. so much change in 2 months. how to not believe im being blessed u tell me lol.
but guys don't worry im still the same old dion u can bully and joke with. i hope this doesn't change my past friendships but i hope to make new good friends too. life is going quite well if u ask me. i hope i improve la basically.

ok la that's alot of important info i just shared. like really quite personal inner thoughts. that's all for now. i've really become a chatterbox haha. anyway, bye~~. maybe this blog will spring to life again and more ppl may come closer to me enough to find this page haha. i won't advertise abt it don't worry. not that shameless. yet. haha

1st week in arty

so im back in action after almost 1 week of unbearable sickness (during block leave somemore wtf), i think it might have been a borderline dengue case or maybe really just fatigue from 24km march (probably the singlemost hardest but feelgood thing in my life). but anyway that's over, got posted to 21 Singapore Artillery and resume NS life. i'm really lucky i guess, it's a very suitable place for me imo (maybe armour would have been more fun).

anyway, the 1st week in a unit is always quite different from what one will expect. i guess i found out alot of new things about how army is like. bmt is like a frog's well, i dint know shit in there, and its kinda secluded by itself there. but now u have friends everywhere, and also section mates, who know other section mates and stuff. its like a network of alot of knowledge about what other ppl do, and u end up getting a much better understanding of the whole army in general.

by the way, im now an arty operator, taking a 2 months course where i will learn how to drive and load ammo. its abit hectic for now (though nothing compared to chiong sua infantry like jookee). no more route march and infanteering for ns liao woohooo :DD. at the start i did feel slightly disappointed for not making scs and i will not be able to do alot of things as well as receive the recruit life more. but now i feel like its a good thing to be a men (more suited for my personality). also, i will get my LCP rank soon i think, cos my course is short-er(compared to so many others, but its still a fkload of information overload), and my fitness is medium to good in this unit. so awwwyeaahhhhh LCP haha.

there's alot of improvement to life, time efficiency and stuff, but at the same time, certain things are more focused. in my unit, marching and stand by bed and basically soldier discipline really must be sui sui, they dont let u off for it. but at the same time punishment is much more bearable, its really just push-ups and stuff meant to make u more buff, and they dont scold u like they do in bmt (or maybe just kestrel). but i have to thank kestrel for a bmt that changed my mind to be able to take any sort of scolding and still be able to smile lolol. it was fun there.

i kinda like our sergeants, we really have to work with them closely liao, they are kinda like our seniors who take responsibility if we screw up, but really, when we do anything with the tank gun (i must call it a gun, and i got knocked down 60 times already for calling it the wrong thing), sometimes we support the same heavy part while others move certain things, so ya, they will become our good seniors (kind of abit like in anime).

anywayyy i digress. its not the kind of lepak life u might expect, there's 5km runs very often now, and also a much more vigorous pt than i expected (still less shaggg than bmt for now) but it is very much more bearable. the rnd (regimentation and discipline) is quite a pain in the ass, but unlike bmt, u have a LOT of time here to slowly improve. definitely much less stress in the mind. i kinda eff-up much less now, thanks to kestrel, but as always im the blur cock there. but i manage to do my stuff properly liao, just still a kanchiong spider when problems arise.

it takes quite a bit of self control to do my stuff properly, which im kind of more motivated to be now. here the sergeant major at first impression seems like an annoying person who will give u alot of trouble, but in actual fact the more i hear him talk to us, the more i like him. they encourage us to be honest here (not lie in bmt straight to the face im not shag, im not sleepy etc.), and he really talks like he knows exactly how we feel. and there's a culture of encouragement here, even though we don't perform half as well physically like in bmt.

i think i can talk on forever, at least for this month, about all the new stuff that changed this week. but its a very suitable place for me. lessons in garage (6-8 hrs everyday), its sian yes, but i learn alot of things about a car this week (engine, cooling system, track and suspension). its a bit like engineering lessons in a garage in army. alot of ppl sleep yes, but they let u stand up, eat sweets, basically u feel like the sergeants allow u to feel these things cos they gone through the same thing. its a very strong source of motivation, cos u feel like they understand u. just don't effing sleep, the whole group will knock it down la. (understandable though)

i feel like i use a lot more thinking here, plus the ppl here are nicer (maybe just my bunk). group is smaller, but they are all quite similar to me, quite chill on the inside, fitness so-so, all gamers (even the sergeant haha), some jokers also. very friendly easygoing ppl de. at first we were all totally quiet at night, but now we keep talking about interests and stuff. it seems like its going to be a very fun place la. which is like the number 1 thing i was looking for. lessons are interesting (to me at least), i hope to be proficient in everything related to it.

the shit here is damn damn heavy though, and im going to have alot of problems. in essence the SSPH1 (s'pore self-propelled howitzer, sounds cool, no?) is a very accurate cannon that is able to move, so its offensive by nature. but in essence its a gigantic gun mounted on a tank. that's why i made mistake call it tank 3 times liao, the only guy to get caught some more lol. maybe cos im quite active in lesson, i find it fun to learn, but i get knockdown for asking questions o.o.

anyway, the thing is freaking big, probably one of the biggest tank-like vehicles for NSF to handle. its as big as a tonner la, but the parts are aluminium coated steel, and its 14 tons (tonner is about 6). and fk, every small panel is like 10kg, access doors and parts can go up to 200kg to a few tons. its freaking easy to kiap ur finger or hand if u drop anything, if anything hits ur head ur kinda fked. and i cant even do the signal set properly lol (thank goodness its a sergeant role), but its still gonna be tough on me.

i think i'll do well on theory and maintenance though. i kinda the most tolerant to feeling disgusted by grease and stuff. i dont mind getting dirty, i actually find it cool u need like 4 ppl to do everything, cos really there's a sense of teamwork in everything. i want to learn how to drive soon yea. 165cm driving a 14 kg vehicle siol. the freaking ammo (some gigantic bullet with 900 times more base area than our rifle bullet) is 42 fking kg, and we have to do obstacle course with it. hong gan liao lor lolol.

anyway, i will speak forever if u let me carry on, but i get the feeling i will enjoy and remember the next 2 months of course time, and after that life will be much more comfortable heheh. im damn lucky to be posted to arty imo, ppl are nice and stuff. they said u need a goal to serve, and i kinda have something forming in my mind liao. u know how the csm always seems so mature and stuff? they feel very adult-ish to me, so my goal is to kinda transform to an adult within this 2 years.

of course i want to keep my fun-loving nature, i also want to keep my goal of having some dream job related to virtual reality (which is showing up a LOT within this past few months). i kinda want to build a almost fully immersive virtual reality system (or at least be part of a team doing that, my dream job), though it feels like going at my rate of being quite lazy, i might not do as well in uni as i thought.

its like a minor mid-life crisis also, so ya i hope army can turn me into like my parents la. able to endure shit and carry on doing something, don't like avoid doing stuff just cos i hate it (which i still do quite often), and become like my parents basically, be in charge of a bit, have some dream job, which i really starting to have ideas about already. they said don't waste 2 years in army la, so i hope i can achieve that.

so what if i'm just a lowly men man? (no pun intended). just do my shit properly, be an expert in gun matters, and take away alot from NS. i mean i still feel sian about that place la, but there's alot to take away (except being anal in rnd, its quite a bitch). have fun in army, and in uni also, and get that dream job. i really want it heh.

k la so damn long post, time to stop le. bye~~

24 clicks to POP

finally passed out today. actually i passed out two times, one during the morning after that super tiring march, then another time when i reached home lol.

anyway, if u asked me just casually how army is like, especially since ppl know im from kestrel, i can't really describe it. fun? shiong? its kinda a mix of both, but actually that's still not a very good way to describe how it was like for me.

the last time i blogged, i was pretty demoralised about coping with army cos my physical was so bad i took atten c twice in the first 3 weeks. but after tanking through field camp and many different activities that everyone was like struggling through, slowly i realised that actually i was able to march and do the same stuff after all, just that i was complaining too much. IPPT and SOC that one if ur not fit cant do very well la, but for the rest, it really is up to ur own mind and perseverance.

anyway, after field camp, there were actually many fun times among the shit we had to do and endure through. i feel like my platoon is quite fun to be in, and that our batch probably was one of the most entertaining ones in kestrel history haha. we made lots of effed up songs, imitate the commanders during OC night, and did lots of guai lan stuff la. though its probably very difficult to explain the jokes to anyone else not in the coy.

as for kestrel being shiong, yes it is, but then when i look at some things other companies do, i feel like maybe we're not that shiong after all, even though ppl from other coys tell us that we are. maybe we got brainwashed or something, tekan so much until don't even know we are getting tekan. but to be honest though, i probably din't have a very hard time in kestrel after all. i can safely say that all the other kestrel warriors really have their standard up there. i guess i did put in a lot of effort, as compared to like my whole life before, though i probably din't work half as hard as so many others in my section.

my section is quite ok la. they covered my ass many times, are quite highly motivated also. but i feel like it wasn't as fun as the other sections in my platoon, maybe that's why i enjoyed interacting with ppl outside my section, sometimes outside my platoon also. it has always been like that though, same like in school. im quite a troublesome person, so maybe the less ppl are forced to do stuff with me, the better i can talk to them

yea i caused quite alot of problems for my section, such that at some point whenever i said something slightly weird (im not good at phrasing my ideas), i get alot of disagreeing comments and stuff, abit like how we usually speak to hema lol. yea maybe i was the hema of my section

at some point i did some funny things, so i usually wasn't excluded from the fun stuff, just that ppl dont talk to me as often as the others. its kind of like fun and not fun at the same time haha. mostly ppl din't dislike me cos of my personality, but mostly cos i was blur, screwed up shit, and said things in weird ways. so slowly i got accepted, even though they still treat me like a hema haha.

towards the end, almost everyday something epic or retarded would happen in the coy. recruits night, oc night and all that was quite fun. and everyone started being more lax and finally talking more openly. it felt very very similar feeling to how school was like before we graduated, and then we all just start making all sorts of retarded jokes and pulling retarded stunts. yea i still do my super cold jokes in army. the reaction of everyone is still the same haha.

then finally came the route march. it was fking, fking tough for me, even though i slowly got better at march. i was quite optimistic at first, but it wasn't like the same old marches before where we can laugh and sing, be shag at the end, but sleep well on a bed at the end of the day. this march started off nice, with like changing scenery, then slowly it began to drag, and u feel like u suffered alot even though it was just 3km at a time.

din't sing much for this route march, but at least thankfully there were ppl talking around me, cos i wasn't very keen on talking when my shoulder felt like something was pressing in. but we tahan the pain for awhile, it went away, and just left a dull numbing ache that seemed to amplify just before we reach our rest point. many times i got annoyed and thought it was impossible that we haven't hit 3km yet, that they cheated us of the actual distance we had to march (even though now that i think about it, they have no point in making us suffer).

the changi road was quite bad. it was featureless and dragged on for so long, but at least i still had my energy and i din't feel so demoralised. then came the whole stretch of ecp, where we just slowly marched from area G all the way to the end of area B, and damn that one felt so long and tiring. we couldn't even go to the toilet sometimes cos the queue was so long, and the rest never felt enough. lastly, was the marina stretch. it was where all the pain came in, all the irritation in everyone started to come out, but because we could see the flyer slowly becoming bigger, we all had the mentality to just tahan, and tried to throw in one or two effed up songs that gave us abit more energy.

the most shiok part was when we reaced the highway of rochor road, the moon was damn pretty, the flyer and everything was damn pretty. and we could see the platform just directly ahead and below of us. i was kinda limping by then, cos my left leg was feeling quite weak. then we reached and had like very little time to eat and prepare our stuff before we have to move off again, right under the platform. there everyone just crashed cos it was so uncomfortable and tired.

when i woke up, the sky was suddenly much brighter, and then suddenly there's this POP energy u could see in everyone. there was quite alot of hype, and this parade was so different from the 7 rehearsals we did in tekong. then when it was time to throw the cap, i almost couldn't believe that i made it to that point, that i can actually throw my cap for real now. it felt really amazing to get to throw the cap haha. and that my BMT is now complete.

its a little bit sad to go though, even though i won't really miss my section as much as they would miss each other. but still, there were many fun times and i also quite liked our commanders, they were very interesting ppl after all. but of cos when there's one week of block leave in front of you, you'll just think that eff yea, time to celebrate haha. idrc what kind of posting i get next friday, but i feel quite proud that i completed BMT and it'll be quite a memorable thing for me to talk abou in years to come.

unscheduled life

back to posting again haha. im not going to be ranting about what im not doing again though lol.

anyway, i kinda like the idea of having life with a schedule and stuff. like school. its weird to have free time after having this for, 12 years combined. im not proactive enough or have enough courage to like start out something on my own, from scratch, or like stepping far out of my comfort zone to try something new, i guess. so yea its been boring since i left school i guess.

i don't feel so bad actually (maybe cos im a pretty chill person, and procrastinates a lot lol). but i have nothing to tell other people, while people these days have so many things to tell me. listening to other ppl talk about what work is like is interesting though haha. and other kinds of things they have tried. mostly complaints la heh.

yea im those kind of people who like not having to think too much about what to do. but i still had much fun in school. because it was less time per day, after a long day of school, u'll simply spend ur free time picking up a new game, or anime, or things to watch or do. then we started to play around more from y4-y6. so even with every day repeating i felt like it was different each day. and shiok cos i dint have to think about anything else. maybe its just my character to not think much about stuff haha.

that's why im abit excited for uni actually, cos i feel like peer influence could let me pick up a lot of new hobbies. like make an anime band heh. or maybe pick up sword-fighting, fencing lol. maybe make new games, like holographic rhythm games on real life instruments. and to be frank, ns seems interesting to me too. its like learning about war. the only thing i dread is that i might get into serious trouble and have a rough time. and it may get abit too boring in there.

~~~~~
anyway, for now though, i still haven't worked yet though, cos i guess im not proactive enough, lazy, etc. so after hearing what ppl did in the past month (some people did pretty amazing stuff), i decided maybe i should start small. i only have one small routine so far, and i quite like it. its gym with my parents every sunday. but don't make it sound so big la. to be honest, it really feels like pe to me, cos the instructor is a nice person. and its abit difficult, but sometimes it feels like im playing some sort of game haha.
anyway, firstly, im gonna do 20 push-ups a day, in the toilet just before bathing cos i don't want my parents to know lolol. mainly is cos im very bad at it, and cos i get the impression i will be doing a lot of pumping in army. more than most ppl lol. its damn little actually, but its not easy for me to do it at one go, like proper ones. shows how weak i am D:. but yea, start small haha. only push-ups for now though. cos im just prepping for a whole lot of punishment in army heheh. and cos 20 no kick won't give up de haha.
secondly, gonna improve my jap moaarrr. its not enough, my knowledge. i can barely communicate, even if i can understand what the person is saying. but i did enjoy learning it so far. anime is more interesting when u understand the way they talk. and so are listening to songs. i want to be better so i can read and translate for ppl, hear ppl talk and understand perfectly. talk back casually. watch videos and be able to understand.
and its fun learning jap, after u have been trying for awhile. like i recently went to karaoke, and hmm i guess i was the only person to last for the whole 4 hours haha. but i realise i take a curiosity to things that are jap-related. like cool household products. or things with jap words on it heh. so yea, i'll try working hard haha. go at least 30 mins on more grammar every day, when im not leaving house that day.
the last thing on the list is to pick up a job. after hearing so many stories and stuff, i suddenly feel like working in fast food chain stores heh. my ideal is starbucks though, which i've always considered a crazily ex place for youths to go, but after what my mom told me about how this kind of stores function, and after thinking abit about it, i feel like it'll be actually quite an interesting experience.
from what ppl tell me, f and b is very taxing cos either 1) u barely have time to rest and have to stand all day, or 2) the ppl u work with, or ppl u serve are a bit kao bei, cos u know with work, singaporeans always feel very frustrated talking abt it.
and then there's the scenario where u finish ur job so fast u have nothing to do, but then u cant like slack off, so ur boss or manager makes u do random things that are abit strange. i guess the managers also have it tough, cos its not like they can manage everything perfectly and they might be at a loss of what to do either.
but the impression i get is that in smaller store like these, everyone kinda contributes to the running of the store. there's allocation of jobs of course, but sometimes u need to fill in for others in case they are not there. so maybe other than just making drinks, cleaning, i might also be doing inventory, buying goods and all that. sounds quite interesting.
and it seems like everyone's a bit more equal too haha. i think it'll be nice to work with ppl of similar age, maybe some even younger than me (though i will always be an 8 year old). if my coworkers are nice, i might meet someone of similar interests or someone i can talk casual things about. or maybe i might meet some inspiring nice person that does a lot of meaningful things heh.
i know the pay won't be very good, but i guess that was never really my concern anyway, i just need enough money to pay for my outings. and abit off to the debt i incurred from grad trip lol. since there's barely anything i really need to buy. and work truthfully will probably never be that pleasant, but i think if its three months i might be able to do it heh. hopefully.
i think i've ranted quite abit today haha. good luck to the future working me, i hope >.<. and to the ppl going in army soon too haha. i get to hear accounts of army directly too, additionally bonus of entering later haha. k enough now. bye~~
last post of the year
it's this time of the year again lol.
so ya i feel like my personality has changed quite abit from last year. of course, i'm still this dumb, forgetful and annoying idiot (i'm sure many ppl have other things to add lol), yet somehow still managed to make a few good friends haha, and ya that will probably not ever change.
but ya i feel like i've become much more relaxed toward life, less uptight or dramatic or stressed, and it does feel quite good, though in some sense i'm like ignoring some greater part of life that someday i have to face. i definitely was lazier this year haha, partially due to much shorter school days (many might disagree). i feel like i've become more retarded, maybe cos i enjoy the responses i get from being retarded haha. somehow i'm laughing all this off, even though sometimes i realise that i shouldn't keep being such a retard either.
anyway, this year has been great actually. i've feel like i've let off some deadweight that has been holding me back and experienced lots of fun moments. lots and lots. i probably don't remember half of them, but i know there where plenty of moments where i laughed so hard my stomach hurt, and i think i caused many many occasions of public nuisance. u know those kind like u see and go 'who is this retard', but when ur actually involved everything seems understandable lol.
i feel the need to recap haha, even though i dont want to make it seem like certain events had more weightage than others. and also cos i end up listing so many things :0
anyway at the start of the year, i had many fun moments with my class, and with 05 too, cos for some reason i feel so familiar with them and they treat me nicely (i think). some of us initiated weekly rm, which lasted half a year, and it was quite fun when it lasted, though we ran out of ideas or din't act on them. either way, at least we tried to get it to happen.
got obsessed with mock karuta for awhile. shan't elaborate cos it sounded dumb to everyone except the few of us who played, or maybe only i dont think its dumb haha. had some moments practicing for talent search too lol. hardcore going to all sorts of studios to practice. it was quite interesting, but expensive, and ya i feel bad for doing the least work :0. then i had chalets, and my sep. it wasn't as amazing as i was hyped for, all that jap cramming and planning and thinking of what to buy back when in the end i din't get the time to do so. but looking back it was quite enjoyable and memorable.
the second half of the year was pretty damn free, or at least it felt like. cos i had so many outings omg. i felt like i went out more this year then the rest of my life combined. eating all sorts of stuff, buffets and whatnot. having outings to play soccer, or playing cards for the whole day, or only mahjong, shingeki, halo, making takoyaki, sleepovers, bbqs and so on. especially after exams ended. we hanged out so often that i din't feel like i graduated. we still hang out often actually.
but ya, we graduated, though to me it doesn't feel like a drastic change has occurred, like i thought it would when i was still in school. it does feel like there's a whole long list of history behind us though, and there were many moments where we would talk about epic fails that happened last time. there's quite a few people that i've come to know, but still the same bunch that somehow managed to stick together cos they are the most fun ppl to hang out with haha.
i wish i could somehow keep all the good memories though it is very easy to forget cos we keep making new ones. like my grad trip lol. there were lots of new experiences and stuff to remember, but in the end i din't feel like i've gone at all after i came back and had one outing. not that the trip was not amazing by itself, but i feel like i've already returned to normal cos i laughed so much yesterday. i do hope that things could stay this way, though ns and no school will probably make it much harder to keep in contact.
anyway, enough recap. now that there's no more school i kinda need to keep myself occupied i guess, in some sort of productive way. work probably is one, but at this moment now i feel like i want to try becoming serious about something that i really like to do.
i haven't given this much thought, but recently i've seen many things, like young ppl being able to do all sorts of amazing things. even the ppl in nus high, i think many of them have all sorts of hackz talents (some have multiple) like drawing, cooking, photog, performing music, computer stuff, etc etc. and then i realise im not so young anymore (even though i look like a 7 year old lol).
some ppl may compliment me occasionally, but really, i don't feel like i have anything much special about me, and actually it feels like people my age are supposed to be able to do like lots of things. i'm somewhat near my prime after all. i should be able to do much more after all tskkkk. like looking my age? or be at least decently fit like guys my age? earning money? thinking about society and stuff? idk actually, but i guess im not really prepared or bothered for some reason.
anyway, i think i know what i could possibly try getting better at. like anime. other than watching, i love the songs. i think i can imagine the melody better than when i actually listen to the thing haha. and i like the whole package in general haha. i could work on my japanese. or maybe get better at playing a certain instrument. i actually like each one of them, drums, piano, guitar. i'd like to sing of course, but i'm pretty damn amateur. but it was somewhat my dream to make some sort of anime band during uni haha. i know i'll be pretty damn satisfied if i could achieve that
i'm also pretty into games, cos i like doing all sorts of guai-lan things. ya im an addict and all sorts too lol, though even though i play so much (ok maybe not as much as i thought), i feel like im one of the noobest players out there lol. not comparing to the world of course, but even amongst ppl i know, im pretty scrub haha. even still, i think i could be interested in coding and stuff, or coming up with a game. im pretty excited about future gaming technology actually, virtual reality, holograms, all that cool stuff. i was actually thinking i don't mind working in that field, even though it sounds kinda risky haha.
the only thing that's stopping me is my laziness and procrastination though. frankly, i kinda want to get good at this things without putting in the effort, but that's not fair to those who do. i guess its cos i don't persevere long enough to get decently good, so i'm still pretty amateur in all of them.
but its abit demoralizing when u play for hours to try to play an anime song transcription but fail so bad. spam a jap app so i got all sorts of vocab memorized but still not really know how to respond to real life situations. thinking up drum beats but not knowing what to do when u actually get the chance. or coding, but facing all sorts of bugs.
so i hope that now that im free-er, i can get the motivation to put in the effort haha. i know i have an interest in these things so i should go all out. after all, i want to try to be at least able to do something a little bit special. probably some sort of inner desire haha. i guess that's as close to a new year's resolution as i can get lol.
k i think i've wrote more than enough already haha. it's one of the rare few times i feel like i've managed to express what im thinking so im pretty satisfied too heheh. so yea its one and a half hours before the new year. i should go watch the tv now. so yea. see u guys next year :D ~~
before the trip
less than 24 hours to the trip of my life. feeling all sorts of nervousness and excitement haha. i rushed packing today also, but in the end i think im quite well prepared haha. just worried about whether i can handle the cold over there, and not get myself into trouble :P
anyway, i thought of making a post just before the trip cos i feel like alot of things will be different when i come back. i have been quite lazy + slack recently haha, can't even be bothered to make blog posts even though i have so much time. but i better make this one, cos i want to remember how awesome november was for me haha :D
for one, i somehow graduated, which somehow just came and went. i thought i'd be more emotionally attached, but after spending time with the gang, i realised that hmm, it din't really feel like i won't be seeing them again.
maybe i got too used to being able to slack around like this haha. but yea, we had alot of outings during november, and it felt really great. the week before prom, we were damn hardcore. played soccer for 10 hours, mahjong for 8 hours, and cards for 8 hours for that whole week alone haha. i was shag everyday i went home, but it was well worth it :D
then prom week. wasn't as fun for me as the pics suggest, but wow the pics are really good, and somehow it was also quite memorable, + the after party we had after that. played games, snacked on chips, drank alchohol, and watched a damn good movie called the millers. idk why i like it so much haha. ya know what im sayin'?
then after that i discovered the shingeki game, and somehow managed to spread it to wong, chee and junwei, and we played like nuts for one week haha. even had a combined shingeki + mahjong outing. and also went to board games cafe with daryl, chee seng and others haha. with junwei there's always his "oh yea, jizz jizz" haha. after that i remember we went to justacia and heard about huang's damn funny 'love story'. damn good la, laugh until my stomach hurt :D
last week, i went to pin's house twice lol. one was to play mahjong (again) and make takoyaki, with like wong and junwei making all sorts of jokes about balls. second time was to cook really good lasagna, which i dint really help much, more like i was playing piano and wii heheh.
there was also my probably last class outing. it was pretty memorable actually, since with daryl's help, i ended up getting the film roll thing from ikea, choosing and printing the photos as gifts for the scholars. its damn nice when put up haha. the whole class should have got one, but only the scholars got.
last minute planning of bbq also, like the day before night time i started preparing. have to thank my dad haha, since he helped me got all the food. was damn successful, the bbq. the satays and fishes were damn nice, and then somehow we managed to hide the gifts from the scholars, which they had no clue about until the end of the bbq haha. after that we all dilly dallied and rush for the bus before parting for the last time. it was quite memorable, really.
woa not bad ur still here after reading through so much. yea all my memories that i want to keep, before going for this trip and forgetting all of them. i decided to bring a diary heheh, since train rides will have nothing to do. i think i will blog about the trip, though no guarantees lol.
in some sense i feel like im leaving behind something, and when i come back, i feel like things might change and i wont be seeing much of u guys again D:. but not until i pass u guys ur souvenirs :P. i guess i will really miss u guys when the time comes (february ns D:).
k anyway its about 5 hours before i go off to the airport. i'll miss you guys haha. bye ~~
なんでやねん!
so yea, today was the last day with the japs. the farewell was pretty happy and sad at the same time. we took so many photos haha.
kinda feel abit sad that i won't be seeing my buddy tmr anymore. it's been a really fun week. i kinda feel like a tourist cos of all the bus rides and the places we visited haha. was dead tired by the end of everyday, but my mood has been really good for this whole week, and yea, i really enjoyed showing the japs around singapore. had alot of good times :D
highlights were the weekends, science center, marina bay walk, and also, playing frisbee, soccer and chilling in the games room, as well as the card games we played on the bus. there's this variation of taiti called daifugo, which i think is much better than taiti.
anyway, i'll miss my buddy's friendliness and coolness. all the 'yeaaaa's and the fistbumping haha. i guess we click quite well. all the attempts at translating and trying to explain stuff in science center, or in lessons. and won't forget the なんでやねん!that he thought me haha. basically its some exclamation u use when someone tells a bad joke or doing something dumb.
the other's were quite a fun bunch too. ryouta was really nice to talk to cos he explained many funny things about the japs to me haha. and there's also tomoki, who's likes to disturb his friends, and they all just smack him haha. he's a bit like a buff version of wong. damn funny joker, that guy. also had a really fun time with a lot of ppl from the group :D
so yea, tmr sch resumes. waa i'll really miss hanging out with my buddy, but school is pretty enjoyable as well. kinda missed out quite abit in this one week haha. we still need to do that prank on wong :P
anyway, hope i can keep in touch with my buddy :D. and i'll definitely visit them during the year end. it's really convenient that they are all in the same class heheh. so ya that's all for now. bye~~
science center and west coast market
today was quite a fun day as well, despite how boring the schedule seemed. the start of the day seems like such a long time ago actually haha.
in the morning, after the introduction in the hall, we went to eat breakfast with the japs, which was mostly fooling around and taking unglam pictures, watching videos and one piece for the guys, and a mass gossiping session for the girls lol.
after that took normal lessons la. pe was netball, which is probably one of the more interesting sports they could teach. and yes, valles' lesson, but surprisingly i din't sleep. maybe cos i was in a good mood haha. at the same time, the japs were like visiting the cool stuff in the labs, and went to that demo room where u take the air gun and shoot at ppl, and the gyroscope, hovercraft and stuff.
at 12, we had lunch, where my buddy shingo downed like 4 mango puddings lol. yes the japs love mangoes that much. and they were also talking about how my buddy is popular with the girls from our school lol. anyway, halfway through, jookee, wong and zheyuan came to crash. cos ya he's sad that he couldn't crash anything. though we kinda told the japs that he likes jap girls and he just ran out of the room. lol.
anyway, we left for science center at 1, though not that many locals went. at first it was seriously only me and chee, and some ppl -ahem- wanted to go back to hostel to sleep lol. but in the end managed to get 7 ppl to go.
anyway, i thought that science center was actually quite interesting, even though i've been there like a thousand times already. actually, singapore's science center is much more interesting than science center's in other countries, at least for those i went, cos they are much more interesting (but much more confusing to understand). anyway, the most fun part of the trip was trying to explain what the stuff are or how it works. its hard actually, cos we ended up trying to figure out some of the stuff that we never bothered to find out how it works. and translating haha.
i actually kinda like the fact that my jap is like halfway in between. makes it really challenging to explain how the stuff works, but yet just nice so that its possible. cos of all the 'ohhhhh' moments haha. the most fun sections were still the optical illusions and the slow motion videos at the first part though. cos they were cool (and much easier to explain :P)
came back to school at 3:40, and we went in to the hall. and since they happened to be doing the talk about ritsumeikan at the same time, everyone was like staring at us lol. but its quite interesting to show them the montage of our trip over there cos our inbound buddies are different.
went to visit cca's after that. crashed quite a few cca's, but in the end, my buddy and chee's buddy decided to stick to soccer, cos my buddy is in soccer club in rits, and he's pretty damn good, like a junwei :D. so they joined for soccer training for awhile lol, and the soccer coach was being strict with them lol, like he's their real coach haha.
they din't join in the matches though, but after that, bradley was free, so we spent some time doing practice shooting with bradley as the keeper. he's a damn good keeper now btw. saved almost everything except two or three balls, so when they scored they were quite happy haha.
left for the music room at 5:30, where all the musical talents started coming out. more of on our side ba. dawn, yx and anh all started playing piano pieces, while isaac's buddy was doing drums. with a inverted brush and a fan lol. as well as a broken bass. but still, not bad :D
after that, we went to eat dinner at west coast, where -ahem- were like stalking us but pretending not to intentionally be there lol. din't eat zhu cao as intended, but it wasn't too bad la. let my buddy try mango juice (even more mango :0) after dinner, we all went to west coast plaza to look around at the movie shop, which they found cheap compared to japan. cos movies there can cost like $20 or more, and the blu-rays are like $100+, and they still buy them. for us, it's free though, because some programs exist that are possibly not perfectly legal lol. but of course we din't tell them that.
after that, we went to the supermarket, which i thought was quite a good idea. and wcp has so many jap goods. there's like a sushi section as well as a jap good section with sauces, curry and stuff. and yea spent quite some time comparing prices here and there lol. and teaching them how to make the instant chicken rice, or instant chicken curry. don't know how we managed to spend so much time, but we were just back in time for roll-call lol.
ok sry for making u read all this. its all my excited brain's ramblings haha. looking forward to bringing my buddy to class tmr haha. kk that's all for now. bye ~~
bringing the japs around
this weekend has been a really long and memorable :D. at first i was worried my buddy would judge me cos he's a cool guy and i'm like... this. but turned out he's a really funny and nice guy.
anyway, its really fun being the tour guide. i feel really glad when i manage to get my buddy(s) to be amazed or to laugh. it really helped that i went to japan before, cos i can understand how they feel. so i kinda put in more effort to make sure they don't get sian or something by trying to joke around and stuff. managed to have quite a good time talking to them haha.
anyway this post is going to be extremely long. ya.
saturday was our group outing. it had a kind of ice-breaker feeling, where we all just mixed around with each other's buddies. went to school early at 9 and ate breakfast together with the japs. after that, we went to bugis street to buy the drinks there. it was quite a sight, cos we just ordered ten drinks in one row. after that, we went to shop for souvenirs, and they were quite surprised at how cheap everything there was. actually, i'm quite shocked too haha.
after that ate lunch at bugis junction. i let my buddy try indonesian food, bbq chicken penyet. so one moment he was dying from the spicyness, then next moment he was like thumbs up haha.
went to gardens by the bay after that
rainbow in the waterfall :D
went up to the top to look at all the venus fly traps and pitcher plant and trying to explain what they are. then after we went to the crystal mountain section where we took group photos through the mirrors lol. it was like mass camwhoring :0
last part was the nicest part, cos all the plants had really nice shapes and structures :D. there was this plant that had a spiral and looked like spaghetti lol.
and weethean was talking about asses and d...
try to unsee that :0
after leaving gbtb, we decided to detour and walk towards promenade instead. we happened to walk past the ndp practice, and we were really lucky, cos we saw the parachuters landing, the helicopters, the tanks shooting. we even saw a group of ppl marching past us when we crossed the road haha. it was pretty interesting actually. i'd be really amazed if i wasn't a singaporean haha.
i realised it was quite a waste that i din't go flyer, cos there would have been fireworks, and that would have been really amazing. but ok la the bbq was also pretty fun :D. the food was really good, like the beef and the chicken wing, and the fish and the salmon. everything was tasty actually :P
anyway, things got interesting when they started trying to feed their friends food they don't like, like corn or mushrooms. and they were challenging each other to eat the spicy squid heheh. even i found it quite spicy lol.
the best part was the durian though. at first all the japs were like running away and shaking their head, but after that, they tried, and although some of them were like repulsed, some actually seem to like it, even though they felt it smelled bad haha. waa it was really enjoyable, the bbq.
anyway, yx's buddy followed me back home cos he wasn't able to host. learnt that our buddies also like playing games, like us. there was temple run, flow, badlands, etc. so maybe its not just us addicted to phone games haha.
reached my home at like 12 though, so we couldn't really do anything. mostly they were looking at my one piece comics and duel master cards haha. laid up like two mattresses in my room and we all slept at abt 1.
went to the market today, and showed them around to the vegetables, fruits and fish. part of the fun is trying to come up with analogies for the stuff they didn't recognize, and yea i use alot of broken english and japanese :P. after that we ate noodles, then walked around the market, and they were interested in the praying items.
after that, we left for sentosa and turned out yx wasn't coming. firstly, went to the merlion. after that, we took the train down to see the sea aquarium. at first, we spent alot of time queuing and stuff, but when we went in, it was pretty amazing :D.
after that, we went to the malaysian food street, where we ate the famous chicken rice ball, and i got the penang laksa which was delicious. after that, we shared chendol, which i nvr dared to tried until now, and damn, it was really good. the japs also seemed to like it (yea), though they were like saying cold most of the time.
intended to go to adventure cove for the afternoon, but turns out u can't just go in with any kind of clothes after all. couldn't enter cos our pants had zips and buttons, and it was too expensive to buy trunks and stuff. so had to change plans halfway and decided to go to luge and skyride instead
after that we just ended the sentosa thing by going to the beach and playing with the sand, writing stuff on the beach, and doing jumpshots :D
i guess we were too tired to throw each other into the sea lol.
ate dinner at clementi, and yea my buddies all knocked out in the car, though surprisingly i din't feel that tired even though my legs were completely dead from so much walking. ate at crystal jade. (ok its not that ex as it sounds, just around $15 per person).
after that we brought them around clementi mall, which they actually found pretty interesting cos there was the pineapple tart, and also the floss from the mei zhen xiang there. we also brought them to look at the fruits in the supermarket, especially at the mangoes, cos they love it and its much cheaper here than over there. basically, we were being evil and tempting them with all the food haha. they were like considering to buy, so i agreed to bring them back there if i had the chance.
so yea super long weekend (and super long post). really excited to see them in sch tmr haha. ok nites ~~
the outing after CMPB
came with lee to CMPB on monday. was feeling really nervous about medical check-up one week before, because tbf, i had a fear of injections. there was once in p6 where i kinda... ran away from the injection in school, and had to do it at some medical place afterwards :0
turned out the most crappy thing about the medical check-up was not the medical tests, but the freakin vocational test after that. maybe i just din't get enough sleep, but i absolutely died in there. the questions are just never-ending, u don't know how much time passed, cos no phone, no clock. alot of qns i wasn't expecting, like arithmetic progressions, quadratic, algebra, physics. there was an interesting one which is about following instructions. actually no it wasn't fun at all >.<
anyway, after everything was over, was really glad that we could finally leave. had a really weird feeling leaving the place, as though we were leaving prison. felt like we were coming back to civilization. met fiona, who was waiting for us for quite awhile at tiong bahru. wanted to eat at some place called strictly pancakes which we thought was near bugis. so yea it was the beginning of one hell of a walk.
so this is a good summary of the path we taken (take from fiona's blog lol)
day was super hot, and we got horribly lost at some carpark in between us that was full of dead ends. so when we reached strictly pancakes, we thought that finally, we can eat something. but turn out that of all days, it opens late only on mondays. +1 for bad luck.
but ok la, it wasn't that bad of a walk. ate some fish ice cream we got at the random korean market which tastes so good. i don't even know how. its just some fish like biscuit encasing vanilla ice cream with some red bean paste. korean food is good :D.
anyway, since we took all the effort of walking, decided to spend anyway. i thought i have enough money this week, so we went to spend at 日本村 at cathay. not too bad actually, portion was quite big, though of cos can't compare to the super good ramen last friday. ate until quite shiok la haha.
so yea today came back from chalet, and even went to studio for awhile. my wallet is completely empty now, with an untopped-up card, and im still in debt. but whatever. i will somehow be able to pay these off someday. someday D<
k la that's all for now. pretty excited bout tmr's outing :D
paydayyyy
today was an awesome day haha. was somewhat unplanned, as in we din't have anything exact to do, but 10 hours just flew by so quickly haha.
started by meeting at payar lebar and went to singapore post that building at 12:30, but cheeseng was late by 30 mins cos he was up recording the karuta readings.
dunno how, but we just came up with an idea for RM for cheeseng to do the moment he came lol. we just wrote some clue at the stabilo pencil, which lead him down to the popular downstairs, which led him to fairprice lol. the clues are still there now though, so some bo liao ppl might actually go and solve it :0.
anyway, after we met up, went to get ingredients for making brownie, ate lunch at some cheap place that sells waffles, then went to fiona's house to bake. baking was done pretty quickly cos it was pretty easy. wasn't exactly like a brownie, but it tasted like really tasty chocolate cake haha. took quite a few pics too. lee is a poser :P.
our brownie :D (why does it look so good lol. pro editting :0 )
after that we played a huge load of games. had some connect 4 round robin, jenga with coloured blocks. then there was the board game payday, which was pretty much the highlight of the day haha :D. its like game of life except the board is like a calendar with 31 days and alot of epic random stuff happening. super epic kay. completely died laughing many times haha
at first everyone was like freaking broke and had super huge debts to the bank, but after everyone else started hoarding the 'lao bei', cos of the old man on the $10000 note. a huge load of epic stuff happens. since i talked so much, got targeted like hell. i was the poorest, but they just took money from me, because lee wanted to make the game 'more fun'.
half the time was spent playing the lottery thing, and most of just like tried sticking to a certain number. like lee kept sticking to 1, like it's his car plate number, cos that's what most ppl who buy 4D do. they just stick to one number like forever. did alot of cockblocking and random donations to the 'charity', which goes to the jackpot lol.
since cheeseng was like throwing 1's and 2's all the time, three of us lapped chee seng at the last month of the game, and making huge load of jokes haha. we were like all retired already and shaking leg there with our money while chee is still investing :0. retired already still playing lottery and losing money and stuff though haha. aiya this game doesn't make sense, but its like 10 times more epic than monopoly. should bring to sleepover :D
anyway, after that was like 10, but we still played like karuta until 11. tried out reading without the pause between the number and the suit. im just so addicted to it, cos even though its boring to watch, its super thrilling to play :P. but turns out cheeseng is even more hardcore lol. his like faster and has better memory, so i realise im actually quite lousy at this game. so yea won 1 and lost 1. i think we got lee addicted to this game to haha. faster go watch then we can have some sort of tournament during sleepover :D
really excited for sleepover now, so many fun things to do. then there's bradley and loo and huang who's going to make it darn epic haha. hope it turns out well :D. k la that's all for tonight, so late liao. bye ^^
excited for SEP
been really excited for SEP ever since the meeting yesterday haha. finally haha. i know its slightly more than one month away, but it feels like its gonna happen so soon. feel so motivated to spam the brochure with info heheh. anyways, i need to spam mug jap for the next month haha. been slacking off way too long le.
anyway, ever since exams were over (technically not over cos there's still APs and english), been having a lot of fun haha. yesterday i kinda left school early. again. oops :P. went to fiona's house with kianwee and daryl to watch wreck-it ralph, which was a disney movie from last year i think.
i know im not a movie person, but damn, i was really impressed by wreck-it ralph. wreck-it ralph is really amazing, the plot is unique, an there were many genius ideas, the puns haha. so now i know not to judge a movie by its name haha. anyway, i won't spoil, but the basic plot is that the arcade characters are actually alive and have a life after the arcade closes haha. u can go watch if u want, its goooood :D.
after that i went to eat lunch, then went over to ryan's house, aka the after-exams gaming center. second time going there haha. was much better this time, managed to win the new ppl (hema, pin and jookee). actually hema is not new, and im pretty new, but yea. feels so good to snipe hema without him knowing where the hell i was heheh.
i know i missed out on quite alot of stuff yesterday haha, cos yesterday was like the play with ur teachers during lessons day. missed out on dm in 01 D:. i miss the water dark deck that i helped create from jookee's water deck. its the jian deck that uses an annoying strategy that makes the other guy keep wanting to rematch haha. brings back memories of what i used to do in hostel :P.
k la that's all for now. bye ^^
to the playground
went to casa clementi for RM today, which was actually the flats just opposite our school lol. the layout looks really cool haha.
started off with virus to familiarize ourselves with the confusing layout, and it was pretty decent. the two mission games after that, honestly speaking though, was kinda messy. especially on the mission side, cos the mission was simply to darn hard and most ppl din't know what to do except chase or hide :/
the fun part abt today was after dinner though. we went back to the playground as we were supposed to cross it to reach the bus stop. ended up playing around so much, reliving our childhoods (actually im kinda deprived as i din't really go to playgrounds last time).
the wheel was pretty epic haha. basically its a horizontal wheel that is wide enough to stand on. however, it is inclined slightly, and is simply impossible to get to the top, cos the wheel keeps speeding up. something like a hamster wheel. in the end we just all sat at one end each and some one went to spin the wheel damn fast, like a mini roller coaster :D.
also played some monkey bar kind of game, where two ppl are supposed to hang on to a bar and try to pull each other down using the legs. we thought lee was darn good, but wong's the true master lol. he gripped the bar in a weird way, and ended up catching lee from the shoulder. then when he couldn't pull lee down, he jumped onto lee :0. gg man that guy so competitive, must win every single game de tsktsk.
we still did other things there, but shan't describe any further. fiona has the pics i think, though it's somewhat embarassing :P. anyway, conclusion was that we must come back here some day haha, maybe at night if possible so that its not so hot. should have done so last year, cos it's barely 5 min from hostel, but haiz, no chance for that le. nvm ba.
anyway, me and lee get to plan the next game haha. the chasing idea seems really cool this time, and lee even made a proposal for it lol. we're serious 'bout this, bra. hope next mission can be more successful than this one. k la its somewhat late now. good night :)
media outing
had media outing today to city hall area. was quite ok la. some parts were sian but we got to walk around and see lots of stuff.
anyway, being too paiseh to take ppl up and front, i was mostly doing random spying shots, like pretending to be resting or just walking by and secretly taking the photo. its fun cos even though u won't know how it'll turn out, if its good, u get to see ppl either being cool or being really happy haha. usually it goes bad, but there are 4 photos im proud of :D. (hey i seldom post photos anyway)
so firstly, i got wong looking like some pro :D
haha i think he lost all his avoiding photo skills alr :P
then i got jm doing some cool pose :P
how often do u get to see both of them smiling in the same pic? XD
png doing his :3 expression again
and pin doing idk what
haha i'm so gonna get murdered on monday >_<
after that came back to school to play soccer. reached back at 7 though D:. was fun but so short and the sky got dark damn quickly. sigh. anyway, today's the first week im eating out on fridays haha, and went with wong, yeo, kian wee, lee and fiona to koufu at commonwealth. and hema decided to tag along in the end lol.
so lee has a theory that when hema's around, we always start a convo, then hema says something, and then the convo becomes a sword and stabs hema haha. then the topic changes and the cycle repeats. its just too damn fun to insult hema haha.
its only during thursday and friday of this week and two weeks ago that we all come together like this, but it feels like such a long time alr haha. feels really great to hang out with this bunch of ppl haha. ok la need go off le. bye~~
running man 2 ^^
had our second running man session today yea. been looking forward to this the whole week cos there wasn't much events for me this week. i think im gonna rant again lol.
ok la the games were a bit more messy today, but the best part of today's session was the chasing. started off with the 'thief' game, which i shan't really explain, but basically everyone was trying to get hema killed lol. yea i know he suddenly became a permanent member, which means a lot of games would be... biased.
anyway, me and daryl were exempted by winning games, and we both gave our cards to hema lol, thus he couldn't get rid of his thief card. even after the musical chairs and heart attack in an attempt to switch the seats, everyone took back their own seats on purpose. sucks to be hema haha.
after that, played some dodgeball at the back of auditorium, and some card arranging race and the stairs, which was pretty damn dirty :/. then finally we did the chasing game, which was really good imo.
*ranted like crazy somewhere else. but those ppl who played probably heard it from me already so not going to mention haha.
anyway, we were all partnered and given plastic bags to wrap around our arms, and we are supposed to search for as many wooden pegs around the 4th and 5th floor area of the school. we can also eliminate each other by pulling off their band. and i got partnered with hema :/. but he actually turned out useful and i guess its good cos no one saw us as a threat haha.
there were many epic moments, managed to kill chee and wong, which i really swear i didn't expect haha #proud. waa the wong one was really lucky haha. last two ppl were me and kianwee. tried to ninja kianwee by suddenly appearing from the stair door. but wong happened to instinctively block me. damn.
in the end, we did some showdown at netball court haha. lasted for like 5 mins lol. just went around in circles and kianwee and pushing me and trying to turn me. in the end we both tried to pull each other's band at the same time, but kianwee's arm longer, so yea.
in the end, me, hema, daryl and fiona were tied with 5 points, so we did some mini searching at the 6th floor audi area, which i swear is the perfect hideout. chee seng hid like 15 there and i only managed to find one, while lee and hema got the red striped wooden pegs. so hema got to be in top 3 in his first time playing. gg lol. maybe we'll all end up having to treat him at the end of the sem :0. after that we just ate at burger king and went home.
kind of looking forward to tmr's media trip haha. last week's lesson with flash was surprisingly interesting. we only got the consent form today lol, cos mr syed's always like this >.<. anyway, today was a good day :D
ok la nth else to say le. bye~~
sometimes it better to pretend not to know so u don't lose the only things u have left
awesome weekend
wow this weekend has been really fun haha. in fact, for these past two weeks, there were about ten days where i really enjoyed myself haha. but yea im so screwed for next week lol. haven't touched chem prac or english, and i had to make myself occupied fully for next week :0. but even still my mood now is really awesome heheh. the freedom of being 18!~~ :D
saturday i kinda crashed the WCD event, cos i was pretty amazed that so many ppl from our gang was going haha. even wong omg. seriously that guy is a changed man haha. so met wong and junwei at JE at 12:35. we spent like forever waiting for that jookee, cos that guy went to watch anime before coming tskkk. waited until 1:15 lol. but at least we got treated to mcflurry yay :D
by the time we reached macs it was already like 2 lol. almost no time to eat der. met daryl and fiona on the way, then chee seng came later once we were done eating. lee kept talking about murderer lol, cos he's super addicted to the game now lol. kept winking randomly.
but ya the first part of the thing wasn't really doing anything actually. tot we needed to help setup or something, but in the end didn't need to. so we ended up playing murderer until 3:50, then the people started coming.
got grouped with hardik. was supposed to get ppl to write their pledges for WCD, but i too paiseh le la. yea im not meant to do this kind of thing after all. my chinese sux so bad lol, couldn't talk too alot of ppl at first. din't know how to say 'make your pledge' in chinese lol. after awhile though, there were many more english talking ppl, and i realised u din't have to only approach the patients.
some ppl seemed really happy to write their pledges though. there was this aunt who had it for ten years already, but still she was really very cheerful and friendly. there was also another guy who requested us to sent the photo to him, or he'll come after hardik lol. not in the fierce way la of cos. just that he knew we were students so he kinda wanted to train us to carry out promises lol. so yea we did this for about two other ppl too.
anyway, after the event, most of us walked back to JE together. they kept trying to interrogate wong about what changed him haha. especially jookee lol, who was super jealous of wong lol, which he should be haha, cos wong has changed. but to protect wong's privacy, only the gang will know heheh.
today went to pin's house to make pineapple tarts. was pretty late lol. ironic considering i wasn't late yesterday when it was JE, but late today when its pin's house. i really like going to his house lol, cos his mum is damn nice, and his aunt, dad, and maid are cool people.
started off with making the dough. was pretty simple except im such a failure at this things and kept... failing haha. pin's maid was like laughing at me lol. and yea they were making jokes about having low yield o.o. was quite lol cos we needed three people to sieve. and was mainly pin and rong arguing who could cook better haha.
after that was cutting the dough. i completed failed at it, but i realised that u could decorate the tarts with small strips of dough haha. so i found my job for today, which was making lots of smiley faces lol. everyone was like complaining i was doing it too slow lol >.<. just like that time we were making meatballs heheh.
helped boon chong and pin make the dass and 605 rocks thing, cos i know their class absolutely loves this sort of thing lol. they even wrapped the dass thing and going to give her tmr. so yea in total we spent about two hours plus to finish making all the tarts, but jookee still wasn't there yet lol.
why din't i do this for my class too lol
he only came at about 4pm. never learn his lesson from yesterday tsktsk. but we seriously had nothing left for him to do haha. so ended up eating and talking about japan with pin's family :D. and also about dialects lol, which i absolutely dun understand. and i supposedly should be very good, since my mum's teochew and dad's hokkien. but no i couldn't.
we also ended up doing a bit of band stuff for fun haha, cos pin and jookee was there. ended eating dinner at pin's house again too. i think my house food is pretty okay, but their dinner there really very good. im jealous tskkk. but maybe its cos my standard for food is pretty low haha. anyway, took home my 14 precious smiley faces haha. my parent's liked it yea, but my mum claims she can make the pineapple jam better, which i don't really believe lol.
ok that's it for now. bye ^^
praises still make me feel so happy even now haha
the gang is back :D
the gang is back :D. today was really fun, cos we went to do all those things again like old times. its like back to yr 4 again, except we are now damn free so we can do more epic stuff haha. playing futsal, chicken fighting, playing bridge, murderer, hearing wong and chee arguing. really darn glad that the gang is back. its like the group that makes me feel included and loved :D.
recently, i've been going home really late to just to do things in school. even though when i reach home, eat, bath, there's only one hour left before sleeping. and i spend it on RM anyway. then its school the next day again. i know im not being dilligent. im sorry, to those ppl who spend 3 hours mugging physics or english, and so longgg on their chem report and stuff. really salute and commend the effort ppl put in.
but this kind of time spent feels so satisfying, so amazing. by making myself go slightly further out to gain more enjoyment and satisfaction. its like finally i found things that i'd willingly spend more effort to do, which is quite rare for me for this six years of high school. it feels like i've gained something, though im not really sure what it is. whatever it is, its pretty motivating.
so yea. im thinking of trying to do as many things as i can this year, and making a record of what things i did differently everyday. so that at the end of the year, i'll have so many things done that this last year will become a memorable one haha. ok that's all for now. bye ~~
i know what not to do or try anymore. but no matter what, i'll do my best to help if im ever needed.
jiamin's 18th
today was a pretty fun day, other than the fact that everyone died during PE cos of sim. i don't think he knows how hard it is to do 40 dips in a minute. or that its impossible to do 40 burpees, even if unlimited time was given lol.
anyway, today was jiamin's birthday, and we all din't prepare anything for him, so at around 1:30, while he was having bio till 3, met up with chee seng, lee and pin to get jiamin's cake. yeaaa the drink 2.5L of water everyday gang haha. and also the zen 5 gang lol (except pin hehe). we bought the cake at some shop called oishii. din't realise it was the exact same cake we got for junwei last year until later lol.
anyway, came back at about 2:35. left the cake with the drink stall auntie and went back up to class. it was still early so we decided to play cards. then at 2:50 we realised bio alr ended :0. so yea everyone was panicking cos jiamin was about to go home. had to get jookee to drag him back haha.
so initially we decided to like fake scam jiamin by making him come to class only to realise we din't do anything, then bring him down to the canteen and ya. quite dumb actually now that i think about it lol. our surprise failed miserably cos that guy wanted to go home and sleep on his birthday -.-. instead of drinking. or smoking. or.. u get the point. but ok la cos of PE we ran like 9 rounds today :0
so yea la we just all walked to the canteen, cos there would be no other reason to hold him back lol. at first we were all just sitting there, and we thought jookee would be the one to bring the cake out, but no, he decided eating chicken rice was more important :3. so jiamin was like acting unimpressed lol.
but ya la after that we got everything set up and stuff like that. was darn messy like last time, but we're like heck care, cos last time junwei's cake we also like that. and making cherry jokes lol. so yea wasn't really anything very special, but it was pretty fun haha.
ok la nothing else to say liao. bye~~
i think i get it now
last orientation
been a pretty hectic but exciting three days haha. now can finally get some of the slack that i have been craving for haha :D. i need these breaks to keep me going lol.
but anyway, orientation has been really fun. these three days have been jam-packed with things to do, and it felt so long and fulfilling. i felt like i got closer to quite alot of ppl in just these three days. the actors, the ogl's while i was station-mastering, the ppl working on the key, and other ppl we just happen to work with and talk to. and i also changed my views on quite a few ppl that turned out to be nicer than i thought.
for me, it was rather slack, cos i din't really have a proper role decided even then. i just kinda went around and freelanced the jobs, so it was kinda more relaxed for me. it was pretty tough on some of the people, especially adrian and justin, so they really deserve the credit. so debriefing ended off on a pretty high note, except for the cleaning up :P. and we kinda went crazy taking photos haha.
but anyway we all kinda din't mention something during the briefing that deep down we all knew. personally, i was relatively entertained by the performances, especially nobel's save the earth dance haha. but ya, it wasn't what we expected, and frankly, i think a lot of yr 6's were disappointed.
but really, think about it. all this effort we put it won't be wasted de. at least for some people, we did manage to entertain them. and even though most of the people weren't impressed, the team really did put in their best effort, working late till 9:30 on second day for rehearsal, last minute chionging just before the finale itself.
and there was more than just the finale itself. quite a lot of people felt that some of the external activities were really successful, and for me, both days of station-mastering were really fun. yesterday's station was pretty complicated, requiring a broomstick, a cup, a plate and a marshmallow /o\. got a huge backache from picking up the plates and marshmallows that were catapulted on the floor lol. but it was really funny sometimes, and some of the juniors were really damn proooo.
of course there were a few who tried to cheat or to be funny, but otherwise generally the people who played were all pretty nice. mr ho was quite pro. he did 17 in 45s, cos all his hits were so damn consistent that they went to almost the same place each hit. no one could beat mr tan lol, cos that guy seriously too skilled le. 21 in 45s, he was like hitting and catching as fast as i could load the marshmallows and plates haha. i was like in complete awe while he was doing it lol. seriously, what the rui fong :0
today's game was extremely fun too, i really enjoyed just improvising the game on the spot, negotiating with the classes for hints on the station and talking to them in that qian bian manner XD, making them do funny forfeits, and occasionally disturbing them too :P. i really din't think i would be able to do it haha, but i felt that at least some of the juniors were entertained, so it was a really good feeling and satisfying :D.
and we spent all that time filing and painting the key, which in the end, we din't really had to spend so much effort on it. but seriously, i really don't mind haha, cos it was actually pretty fun just working on it with the other people. yong jen really should like frame up that key, cos its actually made up of alot of different parts that can be attached like a puzzle due to all the magnets.
its seriously super cool, but too bad we din't complete it early enough for the amazing race ppl to do the assembling. they would have appreciated it much more if they see how intricate it was. anyway, we really spent alot on effort on that, so it was a pretty good feeling of accomplishment, just not in the way we thought it would be.
it was pretty hard to make it, so i shall describe haha (to make myself feel good :P). on the first day, we got to use the physics lab to cut wooden pieces and plastic acryllic circles, then tried to superglue 2 magnets to each circle. that was really irritating, but at the same time quite epic, cos like every once in a while, someone will be like "oh $%#", cos the magnet would suddenly fly out from its superglued position and get stuck onto another magnet, and we would get hell for trying to seperate them again lolol. but after all that, by the night, we finished all 5 tubes in day one, filled with the stones.
yong jen and a few of us went to make the magnetic sliders, which are seriously darn cool. it required a huge load of time just sitting there and filing, and the sjab ppl were like using some whip sound on his phone lol. then finally we spray painted yesterday all the way till the night while finale was practicing. and finally completed the assembly today morning :D
also made the staff for nobellus with claudia's help :D. mainly some broomstick pole wrapped with crushed newspaper, spray painted, and acryllic painted for a different shade of brown. twirled the leaves around too, so it looked cool heheh. i was so darn proud of it haha, they had to take it from me cos i kept twirling it around and doing random stuff heheh.
lastly, the decorations put on the portal in the center of the hall was kinda on a whim, cos we already had a nice flame and lightning symbol from the spare decorations. it wasn't really a confirmed thing whether it was necessary to make, but after awhile some people just told me heck la if i want make i can go make. was darn rush lol haha, but in the end claudia help me cut, and jiamin was artistically spray-painting it with white and blue lol. actually it was more like anyhow :P. but ya, the crystal was partially his too heheh.
so to complete the remaining, we just took the leaves from the railing twirled in a circle and some paper strips from the waterfall made into a wave, which was abit unfair for fleming :P. so in fact all the symbols were made from spare decorations haha. also decided to take out the key that yong jen and the rest painstakingly made, but we had trouble assembling it without his help, and we were like really fumbling down to the last second. so everything was done just seconds before ppl entered the hall heheh.
it was pretty thrilling. and some of the people were impressed, so i kinda felt proud haha. though jeremy was fumbling with it when he first saw it though, so they went to station bouncers on the decor, which was pretty retarded haha. in the end everything was kinda kicked around, and i know it was kinda a useless decoration, but it was really pretty fun to do it anyway :D
anyway, i know it was pretty tough on some of the people who really slogged all the way till the very end. but really, the teachers were indeed impressed and they acknowledge the effort the whole team put in. like ms chua said, nothing we do will truly go to waste, cos some day we'll look back on this and wonder why we were so crazy to try so hard, but we'll be pretty proud of the effort we put it. so no regrets :). it was a really good experience :D
ok finally finished ranting haha. after ARP report is done, i can go back to my old, relaxed slacking days :D. ok bye~~
hoooooomaigawddd :D
first course
yo its been a long time since i last posted. and damn its kinda fast that its already tuesday. maybe cos i've been doing something that wastes too much of my time lol.
anyway, today, i finally made dinner :D. nah not really i was supervised plus half of the stuff were prepared or done for me cos its my first time seeing it. nevertheless, i saw a lot of things today... so now i know where all the pots and utensils are put. where the food is kept, the utensils, the clothes, etc.
and now i know the portion of each person, so today's dinner i finally ate my fair share of food lol. i ate enough fish for once, together with the bell peppers and stuff, so that they won't go uneaten. wow its really alot of stuff i realised today lol.
shan't go into the details, but basically, its fried chicken, fried fish with bell peppers and sauce, and sambal beans. well kinda, i don't exactly know what's the names of all the veg in the fridge lol. but that dish is kinda one of my favourites, so yay :D. before i saw my maid cut it, i din't even recognise it lol. see i don't even know what im eating haha.
frying was somewhat tricky though. but other than the danger of getting scalded, most of the time the wok is closed so its just waiting and making other preparations for other stuff. but still, its kinda dangerous lol. there are like a lot of different ways for me to get burnt. never dry wok add oil, never lower fire add in food with water content, accidentally touch the wok cover, drop food into oil too suddenly etc, etc. so maybe when my maid comes back my hand will be covered with burns haha.
there really was alot of different things to take note of, like where all the stuff were or what to prepare, but i think i said enough liao ba. so all this is like preparation for like the 7+ days where my maid would be away and im not going out or anything. but knowing myself, i'll probably give up halfway lol. i'll be quite proud already if i could prepare my own lunch that is not always instant noodles, though i eat that quite often :P. unhealthy, unhealthy...
but let's say, let's just say it works, so im gonna make learn like three different courses of dinner, then repeat them every three days. that's pretty far fetched but yea, so cool :D. im not going to do the other housework though lolol. but if i can handle dinner for everyone that'll be pretty cool :D
anyway, last sunday, went to kampong chai chee cc. was supposed to go early to like talk to the teacher since i haven't registered yet and i still don't know their level of jap. thing was i slept really late, so my parents left for gym without waking me, and i remember my maid woke me, but i fell back asleep till like almost 10 D:
so what followed was a mad rush to bedok. turned out the cc was definitely NOT 25m away from the station lol. i ask which stop to get off from the bus driver, but he told me one stop after bedok station when actually, its through the underpass at bedok station. and like a 500m walk at least. so i took 30 mins to get there D:. was like 11:05 when i reached the cc, and i was swearing at myself all the way lol.
still had to wait at the office at the cc, and the ppl kinda ignored me until 11:30. ok la not really la. there wasn't a queue, but ppl who came in seem to get attended to first, but prolly cos they already talked to the admin already ba. but damn i was quite frustrated during that time. now i see reason lol.
so the anticlimatic thing was the teacher wasn't there for that day. maybe the previous week, where the first lesson started, the ppl were informed, but i din't go, so i wouldn't have known. anyway, i dunno whether to laugh it off or not, but i know one thing. don't sleep late on saturday night haha. there problem solved :D.
ok la this post has been extremely wordy haha. recently started watching nichijou. first episode is abit overdone, but its epic funny haha. thinking of continuing running man too, cos i stumbled on a episode on tv, and it got me to like it again haha. so yea, looks like i won't be trying out final fantasy this hols. plus next week, really, really need to wake up at like nine latest. slowly trying to correct my waking time haha.
ok la nothing else to say already. actually still got, but shall save it for another time lol. going to boon chong's house tomorrow. i think sleepover's cancelled, but still :D. ok bye ~~
im myself. no need to feel too ashamed about it :D
