last post of the year

it's this time of the year again lol.

so ya i feel like my personality has changed quite abit from last year. of course, i'm still this dumb, forgetful and annoying idiot (i'm sure many ppl have other things to add lol), yet somehow still managed to make a few good friends haha, and ya that will probably not ever change.

but ya i feel like i've become much more relaxed toward life, less uptight or dramatic or stressed, and it does feel quite good, though in some sense i'm like ignoring some greater part of life that someday i have to face. i definitely was lazier this year haha, partially due to much shorter school days (many might disagree). i feel like i've become more retarded, maybe cos i enjoy the responses i get from being retarded haha. somehow i'm laughing all this off, even though sometimes i realise that i shouldn't keep being such a retard either.

anyway, this year has been great actually. i've feel like i've let off some deadweight that has been holding me back and experienced lots of fun moments. lots and lots. i probably don't remember half of them, but i know there where plenty of moments where i laughed so hard my stomach hurt, and i think i caused many many occasions of public nuisance. u know those kind like u see and go 'who is this retard', but when ur actually involved everything seems understandable lol.

i feel the need to recap haha, even though i dont want to make it seem like certain events had more weightage than others. and also cos i end up listing so many things :0

anyway at the start of the year, i had many fun moments with my class, and with 05 too, cos for some reason i feel so familiar with them and they treat me nicely (i think). some of us initiated weekly rm, which lasted half a year, and it was quite fun when it lasted, though we ran out of ideas or din't act on them. either way, at least we tried to get it to happen.

got obsessed with mock karuta for awhile. shan't elaborate cos it sounded dumb to everyone except the few of us who played, or maybe only i dont think its dumb haha. had some moments practicing for talent search too lol. hardcore going to all sorts of studios to practice. it was quite interesting, but expensive, and ya i feel bad for doing the least work :0. then i had chalets, and my sep. it wasn't as amazing as i was hyped for, all that jap cramming and planning and thinking of what to buy back when in the end i din't get the time to do so. but looking back it was quite enjoyable and memorable.

the second half of the year was pretty damn free, or at least it felt like. cos i had so many outings omg. i felt like i went out more this year then the rest of my life combined. eating all sorts of stuff, buffets and whatnot. having outings to play soccer, or playing cards for the whole day, or only mahjong, shingeki, halo, making takoyaki, sleepovers, bbqs and so on. especially after exams ended. we hanged out so often that i din't feel like i graduated. we still hang out often actually.

but ya, we graduated, though to me it doesn't feel like a drastic change has occurred, like i thought it would when i was still in school. it does feel like there's a whole long list of history behind us though, and there were many moments where we would talk about epic fails that happened last time. there's quite a few people that i've come to know, but still the same bunch that somehow managed to stick together cos they are the most fun ppl to hang out with haha.

i wish i could somehow keep all the good memories though it is very easy to forget cos we keep making new ones. like my grad trip lol. there were lots of new experiences and stuff to remember, but in the end i din't feel like i've gone at all after i came back and had one outing. not that the trip was not amazing by itself, but i feel like i've already returned to normal cos i laughed so much yesterday. i do hope that things could stay this way, though ns and no school will probably make it much harder to keep in contact.

anyway, enough recap. now that there's no more school i kinda need to keep myself occupied i guess, in some sort of productive way. work probably is one, but at this moment now i feel like i want to try becoming serious about something that i really like to do.

i haven't given this much thought, but recently i've seen many things, like young ppl being able to do all sorts of amazing things. even the ppl in nus high, i think many of them have all sorts of hackz talents (some have multiple) like drawing, cooking, photog, performing music, computer stuff, etc etc. and then i realise im not so young anymore (even though i look like a 7 year old lol).

some ppl may compliment me occasionally, but really, i don't feel like i have anything much special about me, and actually it feels like people my age are supposed to be able to do like lots of things. i'm somewhat near my prime after all. i should be able to do much more after all tskkkk. like looking my age? or be at least decently fit like guys my age? earning money? thinking about society and stuff? idk actually, but i guess im not really prepared or bothered for some reason.

anyway, i think i know what i could possibly try getting better at. like anime. other than watching, i love the songs. i think i can imagine the melody better than when i actually listen to the thing haha. and i like the whole package in general haha. i could work on my japanese. or maybe get better at playing a certain instrument. i actually like each one of them, drums, piano, guitar. i'd like to sing of course, but i'm pretty damn amateur. but it was somewhat my dream to make some sort of anime band during uni haha. i know i'll be pretty damn satisfied if i could achieve that

i'm also pretty into games, cos i like doing all sorts of guai-lan things. ya im an addict and all sorts too lol, though even though i play so much (ok maybe not as much as i thought), i feel like im one of the noobest players out there lol. not comparing to the world of course, but even amongst ppl i know, im pretty scrub haha. even still, i think i could be interested in coding and stuff, or coming up with a game. im pretty excited about future gaming technology actually, virtual reality, holograms, all that cool stuff. i was actually thinking i don't mind working in that field, even though it sounds kinda risky haha.

the only thing that's stopping me is my laziness and procrastination though. frankly, i kinda want to get good at this things without putting in the effort, but that's not fair to those who do. i guess its cos i don't persevere long enough to get decently good, so i'm still pretty amateur in all of them.

but its abit demoralizing when u play for hours to try to play an anime song transcription but fail so bad. spam a jap app so i got all sorts of vocab memorized but still not really know how to respond to real life situations. thinking up drum beats but not knowing what to do when u actually get the chance. or coding, but facing all sorts of bugs.

so i hope that now that im free-er, i can get the motivation to put in the effort haha. i know i have an interest in these things so i should go all out. after all, i want to try to be at least able to do something a little bit special. probably some sort of inner desire haha. i guess that's as close to a new year's resolution as i can get lol.

k i think i've wrote more than enough already haha. it's one of the rare few times i feel like i've managed to express what im thinking so im pretty satisfied too heheh. so yea its one and a half hours before the new year. i should go watch the tv now. so yea. see u guys next year :D ~~

japan in 17 days

came back from japan today, and wow it has been a blast. there were many fun moments, rush moments, yolo-ing, and also torturous moments. but one thing's for sure, it was pretty damn eventful and memorable haha.

i guess i won't be going through the details in here, it would seriously take forever. each day would be the length of the posts i make, so multiply by 17, i won't be able to finish writing them either lol. so ya this post would be a summary of the stuff we did there. a long one i think lol.

we started off at kyoto, at first just me, jm and wong, all hyped up about the trip. we had our first onigiri in the train station after getting off the airport, and woa we had so much feels, and it made us all high and happy. then after that we roamed around kyoto, which was somewhat familiar, yet the experience of walking there alone without teachers or parents or anyone to guide us was somewhat interesting. met up with the rest at the end of the day after exploring shijo and gion by ourselves, and for the first few days, we probably were the number one public nuisance in japan lol.

in kyoto, we met up with our buddies for a dinner, heard some kinda -ahem- interesting stuff, then went to the arcade and took some super embarassing purikara (the machines that take those photos). yea the rest will kill me if i upload it anywhere haha.

after leaving kyoto, we went to osaka, and for this first half of the trip, everyday was pretty hiong. we woke up early, took bullet trains to other districts, and return back to the hotel quite late every night.

our first half of the trip was mainly sightseeing, taking all sorts of retarded photos, falling behind the itenerary and ended up cancelling many things. and there was lots of failing, arguing, teasing each other (lots of new jokes appear cos of the plenty of fails that happened), gaying, going into all sorts of shops, having suppers (with alchohol and other kinds of stuff) haha. was kinda tiring but lots of fun.

just to give an idea on what the days were like: on the last day in osaka, we went to hiroshima, which was all the way west (1.5hrs bullet train from osaka), saw deer, get attacked by deer, met a tsun-deer, went to a famous place to get lunch which ended up being closed, ate good food anyway, ate oysters (1kg for 1000 yen) for dinner, ended up missing the second last bullet train that we thought was the last and gave us a fright of our lives, reached back hotel at 12 am. ok that was a pretty extreme day haha, and wtf, so much yolo a day i was worried we would not survive the trip lol.

for the next half of our trip, we left for tokyo, and this was where our trip changed from sightseeing to almost purely shopping, and actually more like waiting for others to finish shopping lol. and yea there was something really unhygienic about those oysters we ate in hiroshima that for the first 3 days of tokyo, each one of us got owned by either vomitting or diarhea, or both lol.

during that time it was kinda sian, or more like really sian, cos those who felt well enough to go out got tired really quickly, we had to take all sorts of toilet breaks, food suddenly became not appetizing, and alot of time got wasted. for me i din't exactly miss out much, though the day i went down i vomitted 4-5 times, those really painful ones where nothing came out. such that the next day when i laughed my diaphragm felt painful haha. but yea when we all finally recovered, all the jokes and teasing came back double, and we were also doubly high and stuff. in some sense, it was quite an experience lol.

we resumed our itenerary, but turns out that no matter which city in tokyo we go, we barely did anything else but look for more anime stuff to buy lol. we went to like akiba 3 to 4 times until we actually got sian of it. and we also blew alot of money haha. jm and zhengwei blew on gundams and other huge stuff, while pin and jookee kinda spammed albums, even though they had the songs. i din't really buy much, cos i cleared most of my stuff before reaching tokyo, but even still i succumb to seemingly cheap temptations, like 400 yen figmas, 100 yen mangas, 2000+ yen nendos.

i guess the day with the most sightseeing in tokyo was odaiba, which was essentially the last day for the three going back one day earlier. it was this really cool island where everything seemed new and nicely arranged, and there din't seem to be any old streets or temple-ish kind of places. it's like academy city in railgun haha, though a better way to describe it is probably shin-japan haha. we din't exactly do much there, but it was really pretty, we did a bit of railgun pilgrimage, played at an arcade which jookee won some gigantic alpaca, went to see a gigantic gundam.

then at the end of the day, we had some pretty ingenious christmas celebration, cos jookee seemed kinda disappointed we din't have any christmas mood at all. so yea we had a christmas tree made out of onigiri, cake, some wine that zhengwei bought, and 50 pieces of karaage. cos we were suicidal and all. after eating like half the pack, i felt like never eating fried chicken again lol. but it was actually quite a fun christmas celebration after all. much crazy and high. among all the other supper celebrations that we occasionally had haha.

all in all, it was pretty damn fudged up, but fun, sometimes troublesome, sometimes unexpectedly crazy. quite a cool grad trip i've had haha. i definitely have much more to tell, but that's probably going to be done in person heheh. k la that's all for now. see u guys soon :D

before the trip

less than 24 hours to the trip of my life. feeling all sorts of nervousness and excitement haha. i rushed packing today also, but in the end i think im quite well prepared haha. just worried about whether i can handle the cold over there, and not get myself into trouble :P

anyway, i thought of making a post just before the trip cos i feel like alot of things will be different when i come back. i have been quite lazy + slack recently haha, can't even be bothered to make blog posts even though i have so much time. but i better make this one, cos i want to remember how awesome november was for me haha :D

for one, i somehow graduated, which somehow just came and went. i thought i'd be more emotionally attached, but after spending time with the gang, i realised that hmm, it din't really feel like i won't be seeing them again.

maybe i got too used to being able to slack around like this haha. but yea, we had alot of outings during november, and it felt really great. the week before prom, we were damn hardcore. played soccer for 10 hours, mahjong for 8 hours, and cards for 8 hours for that whole week alone haha. i was shag everyday i went home, but it was well worth it :D

then prom week. wasn't as fun for me as the pics suggest, but wow the pics are really good, and somehow it was also quite memorable, + the after party we had after that. played games, snacked on chips, drank alchohol, and watched a damn good movie called the millers. idk why i like it so much haha. ya know what im sayin'?

then after that i discovered the shingeki game, and somehow managed to spread it to wong, chee and junwei, and we played like nuts for one week haha. even had a combined shingeki + mahjong outing. and also went to board games cafe with daryl, chee seng and others haha. with junwei there's always his "oh yea, jizz jizz" haha. after that i remember we went to justacia and heard about huang's damn funny 'love story'. damn good la, laugh until my stomach hurt :D

last week, i went to pin's house twice lol. one was to play mahjong (again) and make takoyaki, with like wong and junwei making all sorts of jokes about balls. second time was to cook really good lasagna, which i dint really help much, more like i was playing piano and wii heheh.

there was also my probably last class outing. it was pretty memorable actually, since with daryl's help, i ended up getting the film roll thing from ikea, choosing and printing the photos as gifts for the scholars. its damn nice when put up haha. the whole class should have got one, but only the scholars got.

last minute planning of bbq also, like the day before night time i started preparing. have to thank my dad haha, since he helped me got all the food. was damn successful, the bbq. the satays and fishes were damn nice, and then somehow we managed to hide the gifts from the scholars, which they had no clue about until the end of the bbq haha. after that we all dilly dallied and rush for the bus before parting for the last time. it was quite memorable, really.

woa not bad ur still here after reading through so much. yea all my memories that i want to keep, before going for this trip and forgetting all of them. i decided to bring a diary heheh, since train rides will have nothing to do. i think i will blog about the trip, though no guarantees lol.

in some sense i feel like im leaving behind something, and when i come back, i feel like things might change and i wont be seeing much of u guys again D:. but not until i pass u guys ur souvenirs :P. i guess i will really miss u guys when the time comes (february ns D:).

k anyway its about 5 hours before i go off to the airport. i'll miss you guys haha. bye ~~

what anime to watch

Tonight i felt random and decided to make this post...

Recently I've been spamming and clearing a lot of anime i always wanted to watch, and i kinda found out the kind of anime that i really like, the ones that i find very worth watching. So I'm going to make a list of anime that i think are damn freaking good, but of course it's subjected to those that i already watched before, and my personal opinion. It's irrelevant to most ppl anyway :0.

Anyway, it's true that it is hard to drop anime cos ur still curious to know what the story is about, so ya i end up marathoning some animes i wanted to quit. Quite stupid i know >.<. And after that u don't feel so good cos u wasted quite a bit of time. So of cos must watch all the nice one's first ma.

So my definition of nice is two types. One is the hardcore story type that are mindblowing or simply awesome. That'll be like psycho pass, steins gate, madoka and shingeki, which are all top anime so ppl probably have already watched them. This kind are not as common but they are usually always good, except some are really long and boring, like naruto, which is nice but i don't have enough time to watch all of it and it just isn't really worth the time. But really u feel damn impressed watching this type of anime. Its like reading a really good book except better.

Code geass is also pretty damn good, but it's longer than usual and alot of ppl die. Happens. Mononoke and bakemonogatari are also damn good storywise, but they are somewhat queer so not everyone may like them.

Then there's the second type which is much more common, the slice of life funny kind. Kind of subjective per person, but i think that there are some really nice ones then everyone would like. Its even nicer if there's some really nice story behind it. Usually takes like two episodes or more before it starts getting really nice, so don't be too quick to judge but yea u can't just watch mindblowing anime only cos this kind are pretty damn funny, and makes ur mood really good (at least for me). Can make u cry too haha.

Really nice ones are sakurasou, garupan (though the start is slow and might make many ppl drop it), yuruyuri (has no story but its damn retarded lol).

The rest im listing are a little subjective but i think they are damn good too. There's oreimo (season 1 was not bad season 2 was really damn epic), chuunibyou (quite good for 12 eps), servant x service (about civil servants and quite interesting). There's more that i felt are damn good but im not sure if i should recommend cos not everyone may like them.

There are many that i haven't watched cos i think it won't be worth my time, so i might have missed out one or two that might have been entertaining to me, but that isn't really significant i guess (since there's so many).

There's the third kind which i can't really group in either groups like chihayafuru. A lot of ppl i know love this show or at least feel its a good anime. Its darn good okay, and i can't pinpoint why. It just absorbs u in after u give it like 4 episodes to introduce u to it. Ok im somewhat obsessed with it, but ya the part about many ppl liking it is true lol.

So ya i think the best combo is to have a mix of the two kinds cos all mindblow does not work but same for all funny cos they might get repetitive after awhile and sometimes u need some hardcore plot to make u feel the excitement of watching good anime. And watch those that ppl recommend cos chances are they are better, unless its like jookee who watches everything and his idea of good is slightly twisted.

After im done with what i have now im thinking of watching shinsekai yori and railgun (1st cat), oregairu and clannad (2nd cat), since its better to watch all the good stuff first. I might run out more quickly, though new stuff will keep getting released. And there's always running man, which i still have a loooong way to go, ive been watching for so long and im still just halfway there, like ep 77/160+.

So i guess what im trying to say is since there are so many good things to watch out there, watch things u know are gonna be worth ur time since u'll probably not going to ever finish anyway. Yep that's all for now and i still need to wake up early tmr. Actually not really but i get to play more if i do haha. Kk bye ~~

media camp

reviving my blog after so long. stopped ever since sep and after i got a new phone, where i started gaming like mad. so anyway, the past few months have been quite interesting actually. i kinda overindulged lol. went to jap buffet, justacia, pizza buffet, played a LOT of games, x-box parties and stuff.

anyway, last weekend there was media camp. at first i thought it was really sian cos i came all the way from the east with all my sleepover stuff and camera and not getting any seats, made to run 4 rounds, and played some really tiring husband and wife game. but actually it was pretty fun, especially the second day.

so after all the work for stopmotion on the first day, we had a bbq with really good food and ppl shooting each other with water guns. there was even this gigantic water gun that jiamin brought, and damn, its powerful. and funny ppl like ernest kept going 'what hahpen' and singing the op for free! lol.

after that was the night activity that was similar to the one in pre-o camp. which was not bad la, all the running, but there's always this part where everyone gets hopeless and like gives up, until the last part where we just spammed any idea in order to defeat the facils. especially me haha. i was just randomly saying words even though they obviously won't work lol.

amazing race was really good, even though it was at school. cos the clues are solvable, and the tasks are challenging, but also doable. and the water games were legit. everyone really got soaked wet. at the end of the race there was some water fight section and lots of stuff got broken, but it was really fun haha.

at the end of the day we finished up our stop-motions, and then went to the sem room to watch, where sk was sleeping so soundly with his arms inside his shirt that everyone did retarded stuff to him and he din't even realise lol. before they screened our stop motions we also watched some retarded videos like 'what the fox say' and 'stonehenge'. was basically just a laughing session lol.

anyway, some group's stopmotions were really entertaining, such as waiyin's mario-kart parody. there was a pokemon-parody, and our group's one was a tetris-parody. and there was one that's censored lol, so they din't end up playing it.

finished up with some shingeki like thing that the facils made, and the first 20 seconds were really good, but then they never finished the film. too bad i guess. maybe one day after exams i can go make one too haha. k la that's all for now. bye ~~

なんでやねん!

so yea, today was the last day with the japs. the farewell was pretty happy and sad at the same time. we took so many photos haha.

kinda feel abit sad that i won't be seeing my buddy tmr anymore. it's been a really fun week. i kinda feel like a tourist cos of all the bus rides and the places we visited haha. was dead tired by the end of everyday, but my mood has been really good for this whole week, and yea, i really enjoyed showing the japs around singapore. had alot of good times :D

highlights were the weekends, science center, marina bay walk, and also, playing frisbee, soccer and chilling in the games room, as well as the card games we played on the bus. there's this variation of taiti called daifugo, which i think is much better than taiti.

anyway, i'll miss my buddy's friendliness and coolness. all the 'yeaaaa's and the fistbumping haha. i guess we click quite well. all the attempts at translating and trying to explain stuff in science center, or in lessons. and won't forget the なんでやねん!that he thought me haha. basically its some exclamation u use when someone tells a bad joke or doing something dumb.

the other's were quite a fun bunch too. ryouta was really nice to talk to cos he explained many funny things about the japs to me haha. and there's also tomoki, who's likes to disturb his friends, and they all just smack him haha. he's a bit like a buff version of wong. damn funny joker, that guy. also had a really fun time with a lot of ppl from the group :D

so yea, tmr sch resumes. waa i'll really miss hanging out with my buddy, but school is pretty enjoyable as well. kinda missed out quite abit in this one week haha. we still need to do that prank on wong :P

anyway, hope i can keep in touch with my buddy :D. and i'll definitely visit them during the year end. it's really convenient that they are all in the same class heheh. so ya that's all for now. bye~~

science center and west coast market

today was quite a fun day as well, despite how boring the schedule seemed. the start of the day seems like such a long time ago actually haha.

in the morning, after the introduction in the hall, we went to eat breakfast with the japs, which was mostly fooling around and taking unglam pictures, watching videos and one piece for the guys, and a mass gossiping session for the girls lol.

after that took normal lessons la. pe was netball, which is probably one of the more interesting sports they could teach. and yes, valles' lesson, but surprisingly i din't sleep. maybe cos i was in a good mood haha. at the same time, the japs were like visiting the cool stuff in the labs, and went to that demo room where u take the air gun and shoot at ppl, and the gyroscope, hovercraft and stuff.

at 12, we had lunch, where my buddy shingo downed like 4 mango puddings lol. yes the japs love mangoes that much. and they were also talking about how my buddy is popular with the girls from our school lol. anyway, halfway through, jookee, wong and zheyuan came to crash. cos ya he's sad that he couldn't crash anything. though we kinda told the japs that he likes jap girls and he just ran out of the room. lol.

anyway, we left for science center at 1, though not that many locals went. at first it was seriously only me and chee, and some ppl -ahem- wanted to go back to hostel to sleep lol. but in the end managed to get 7 ppl to go.

anyway, i thought that science center was actually quite interesting, even though i've been there like a thousand times already. actually, singapore's science center is much more interesting than science center's in other countries, at least for those i went, cos they are much more interesting (but much more confusing to understand). anyway, the most fun part of the trip was trying to explain what the stuff are or how it works. its hard actually, cos we ended up trying to figure out some of the stuff that we never bothered to find out how it works. and translating haha.

i actually kinda like the fact that my jap is like halfway in between. makes it really challenging to explain how the stuff works, but yet just nice so that its possible. cos of all the 'ohhhhh' moments haha. the most fun sections were still the optical illusions and the slow motion videos at the first part though. cos they were cool (and much easier to explain :P)

came back to school at 3:40, and we went in to the hall. and since they happened to be doing the talk about ritsumeikan at the same time, everyone was like staring at us lol. but its quite interesting to show them the montage of our trip over there cos our inbound buddies are different.

went to visit cca's after that. crashed quite a few cca's, but in the end, my buddy and chee's buddy decided to stick to soccer, cos my buddy is in soccer club in rits, and he's pretty damn good, like a junwei :D. so they joined for soccer training for awhile lol, and the soccer coach was being strict with them lol, like he's their real coach haha.

they din't join in the matches though, but after that, bradley was free, so we spent some time doing practice shooting with bradley as the keeper. he's a damn good keeper now btw. saved almost everything except two or three balls, so when they scored they were quite happy haha.

left for the music room at 5:30, where all the musical talents started coming out. more of on our side ba. dawn, yx and anh all started playing piano pieces, while isaac's buddy was doing drums. with a inverted brush and a fan lol. as well as a broken bass. but still, not bad :D

after that, we went to eat dinner at west coast, where -ahem- were like stalking us but pretending not to intentionally be there lol. din't eat zhu cao as intended, but it wasn't too bad la. let my buddy try mango juice (even more mango :0) after dinner, we all went to west coast plaza to look around at the movie shop, which they found cheap compared to japan. cos movies there can cost like $20 or more, and the blu-rays are like $100+, and they still buy them. for us, it's free though, because some programs exist that are possibly not perfectly legal lol. but of course we din't tell them that.

after that, we went to the supermarket, which i thought was quite a good idea. and wcp has so many jap goods. there's like a sushi section as well as a jap good section with sauces, curry and stuff. and yea spent quite some time comparing prices here and there lol. and teaching them how to make the instant chicken rice, or instant chicken curry. don't know how we managed to spend so much time, but we were just back in time for roll-call lol.

ok sry for making u read all this. its all my excited brain's ramblings haha. looking forward to bringing my buddy to class tmr haha. kk that's all for now. bye ~~

bringing the japs around

this weekend has been a really long and memorable :D. at first i was worried my buddy would judge me cos he's a cool guy and i'm like... this. but turned out he's a really funny and nice guy.

anyway, its really fun being the tour guide. i feel really glad when i manage to get my buddy(s) to be amazed or to laugh. it really helped that i went to japan before, cos i can understand how they feel. so i kinda put in more effort to make sure they don't get sian or something by trying to joke around and stuff. managed to have quite a good time talking to them haha.

anyway this post is going to be extremely long. ya.

saturday was our group outing. it had a kind of ice-breaker feeling, where we all just mixed around with each other's buddies. went to school early at 9 and ate breakfast together with the japs. after that, we went to bugis street to buy the drinks there. it was quite a sight, cos we just ordered ten drinks in one row. after that, we went to shop for souvenirs, and they were quite surprised at how cheap everything there was. actually, i'm quite shocked too haha.

after that ate lunch at bugis junction. i let my buddy try indonesian food, bbq chicken penyet. so one moment he was dying from the spicyness, then next moment he was like thumbs up haha.

went to gardens by the bay after that

rainbow in the waterfall :D

went up to the top to look at all the venus fly traps and pitcher plant and trying to explain what they are. then after we went to the crystal mountain section where we took group photos through the mirrors lol. it was like mass camwhoring :0

last part was the nicest part, cos all the plants had really nice shapes and structures :D. there was this plant that had a spiral and looked like spaghetti lol.

and weethean was talking about asses and d...

try to unsee that :0

after leaving gbtb, we decided to detour and walk towards promenade instead. we happened to walk past the ndp practice, and we were really lucky, cos we saw the parachuters landing, the helicopters, the tanks shooting. we even saw a group of ppl marching past us when we crossed the road haha. it was pretty interesting actually. i'd be really amazed if i wasn't a singaporean haha.

i realised it was quite a waste that i din't go flyer, cos there would have been fireworks, and that would have been really amazing. but ok la the bbq was also pretty fun :D. the food was really good, like the beef and the chicken wing, and the fish and the salmon. everything was tasty actually :P

anyway, things got interesting when they started trying to feed their friends food they don't like, like corn or mushrooms. and they were challenging each other to eat the spicy squid heheh. even i found it quite spicy lol.

the best part was the durian though. at first all the japs were like running away and shaking their head, but after that, they tried, and although some of them were like repulsed, some actually seem to like it, even though they felt it smelled bad haha. waa it was really enjoyable, the bbq.

anyway, yx's buddy followed me back home cos he wasn't able to host. learnt that our buddies also like playing games, like us. there was temple run, flow, badlands, etc. so maybe its not just us addicted to phone games haha.

reached my home at like 12 though, so we couldn't really do anything. mostly they were looking at my one piece comics and duel master cards haha. laid up like two mattresses in my room and we all slept at abt 1.

went to the market today, and showed them around to the vegetables, fruits and fish. part of the fun is trying to come up with analogies for the stuff they didn't recognize, and yea i use alot of broken english and japanese :P. after that we ate noodles, then walked around the market, and they were interested in the praying items.

after that, we left for sentosa and turned out yx wasn't coming. firstly, went to the merlion. after that, we took the train down to see the sea aquarium. at first, we spent alot of time queuing and stuff, but when we went in, it was pretty amazing :D.

after that, we went to the malaysian food street, where we ate the famous chicken rice ball, and i got the penang laksa which was delicious. after that, we shared chendol, which i nvr dared to tried until now, and damn, it was really good. the japs also seemed to like it (yea), though they were like saying cold most of the time.

intended to go to adventure cove for the afternoon, but turns out u can't just go in with any kind of clothes after all. couldn't enter cos our pants had zips and buttons, and it was too expensive to buy trunks and stuff. so had to change plans halfway and decided to go to luge and skyride instead

after that we just ended the sentosa thing by going to the beach and playing with the sand, writing stuff on the beach, and doing jumpshots :D

i guess we were too tired to throw each other into the sea lol.

ate dinner at clementi, and yea my buddies all knocked out in the car, though surprisingly i din't feel that tired even though my legs were completely dead from so much walking. ate at crystal jade. (ok its not that ex as it sounds, just around $15 per person).

after that we brought them around clementi mall, which they actually found pretty interesting cos there was the pineapple tart, and also the floss from the mei zhen xiang there. we also brought them to look at the fruits in the supermarket, especially at the mangoes, cos they love it and its much cheaper here than over there. basically, we were being evil and tempting them with all the food haha. they were like considering to buy, so i agreed to bring them back there if i had the chance.

so yea super long weekend (and super long post). really excited to see them in sch tmr haha. ok nites ~~

start of term 3

blogging again after mia-ing for so long lol.

anyway, its start of week 3 now (so fast), but at the same time i felt like i did quite a lot of fun stuff within the first two weeks :D. and school. i know some ppl begrudge not having time, homework sucks, etc, etc... but waa im seriously enjoying myself here haha. maybe its cos im a slacker who drops bio, who stays out late to play even though i live so far, who does alot of retarded stuff when i get the chance to. school's fun :)

anyway, even though i stopped blogging so much, i still keep a really short log of the interesting stuff i did that week haha. youth day, class outing (swag yo!). tuesday, gong cha, fun run! (and the very embarassing, stupid thing that happen that luckily not many knows about). wednesday, board games cafe, so worth the $6 spent.

this week was pretty fun too haha. yesterday, art workshop :D. made something i'm unreasonably proud of and hidden somewhere retarded lol. today, RM, after such a long time off. made really retarded but fun games too haha. and we're planning a surprise for wong heheh :P.

excited for my buddy to come this friday :D. previously i was worried i'll get judged by my buddy, but now i feel like i got a dozen things that i might want to do haha. hope it goes well ~~

k anyway that's all for now. let's just say i'm also a last minute chionger haha. bye ~~

sep stuff

i've done quite alot of things recently but haven't really been updating. so gonna just copy and paste my sep reflections here lol, since it doesn't take time :0

"One of the biggest differences I noticed between life in Japan and Singapore is that their students there are more dedicated to their CCAs and seem to enjoy school more. Also, they have many activities outside school, and do not solely just rely on the computer for entertainment.

My buddy happened to bring me along to some learning center where she goes weekly to practice calligraphy, which is also her CCA, and she has been doing this for the past 9 years. Also, she plays the piano extremely, extremely well, and I also heard from her mom that she swims really well. Probably this is because these are the activities that my buddy spends her free time on instead of always using the computer like me, which is why she turned out to be so talented, unlike me :0.

Despite having so many activities, my buddy showed me this log that she said the school asked them all to do. It is a rather detailed timetable of the things to do after school, and there’s an allocated time to study, to practice the piano, to eat, etc. Their lives are well regulated and they exercise much more discipline than us Singaporeans.

Another thing I realized during my stay in Japan is the difference between living in a small and a big country. There is a lot to see and do over in Japan, thus their family often goes on short day trips to different places to do things. Transport is much more time-consuming in Japan though, despite the very efficient train system. The distance between two stops on the map seems very short, but it is actually a very long walking distance due to the size of the city, and also it is pretty expensive travelling in Kyoto, especially without a train pass.

One thing I really enjoyed was the class visit during the second last day. We had music, Japanese, PE, physics, and flower arrangement lessons. From what I heard from the people there, the students also have lifestyle lessons, where they learn where their food comes from, or how to do daily stuff, and also cooking. I feel that this kind of education is both interesting and useful.

Despite the academic abilities of the students in our school, many people do not know the nitty gritty interesting facts about daily life, and end up not knowing stuff or how to handle simple problems when they arise. Of course, our school focuses heavily on math and sciences, so there may not be the time or resources for this kind of activities, but I feel that it is both interesting and meaningful, and that this kind of information is worth knowing.

Physics was quite interesting as we learnt how to make and see rainbows. The lecture was quite technical and draining, so we saw some of the students dozing off during the lecture, which was amusing, because no matter whether we’re Japanese or Singaporean, there are some similarities between us :P. The practical part of the lesson was a very simple experiment that involved a black paper, spray glue, and some sort of small circular glass balls that allows us to see a rainbow due to refraction of light. It was a simple and fun experiment, which I feel that might make lessons interesting. However, it may not be so applicable to our school because our schedule is tight and every experiment we do has some much more complicated theory to it. The lessons were generally pretty fun to attend.

Of course, not everything went perfectly smoothly throughout the trip. I felt that the NINS workshop was really time-consuming considering that we didn’t really do much there. I regretted choosing basic biology instead of molecular science because I was interested to find out more about biology since I didn’t take it from year 5 onwards. However, it turned out that I wasn’t able to understand almost everything as it required certain genetic modification knowledge that I wasn’t taught, and thus wasn’t really able to help my groupmates come up with a presentation, and therefore it didn’t had much content in it. However, to those who did take bio, they felt like they didn’t really learn anything from the trip, and as the presentations were done in English with most of the content presented by the Singaporeans, I felt like the Japanese students didn’t really receive much out from this workshop either.

However, as it is one of the only academic activities during the trip, it was necessary to do this. The experience of trying to communicate with our groupmates and staying in a hostel where we had to do everything for ourselves was unique, and we did learn some things out of it, even though it wasn’t really pleasant.

Another issue that happened was that I think I caused quite a bit of problem for my buddy, because I requested to go to places with other people in the group. I was quite unlucky for this trip because I wasn’t able to access wi-fi and was unable to contact the rest of the group, and also, my buddy planned the activities for me but wasn’t able to tag along because of her tests.

I think that my buddy got quite stressed because I had to contact the others via my buddy contacting their buddies, and it was much harder than I expected to organize a group outing as our Japanese buddies did not really know each other that well, and some of them had already planned activities beforehand. Therefore, I think I kind of killed the mood a little on Saturday because my buddy started arguing with her mom, and I also kind of unintentionally troubled my buddy’s mom as she went to call the other party’s parents to see if they are okay with a group outing. I was trying to tell them not to worry if it’s too troublesome, but communication problems kind of prevented me from doing that.

Therefore, I felt quite guilty that I troubled my buddy so much just to plan these activities for me. In the end, I still had a pretty fun trip on Sunday going to Nara to see the deer with Yi Xuan, and we also managed to squeeze a small group outing on the second last day of the trip, which was extremely fun though quite short, so it worked out pretty well.

Overall, the trip felt quite short and I didn’t get to do as much as I wanted, such as buying souvenirs for friends, but all in all, I enjoyed my stay in Japan, got to eat quite a bit of nice food, and received really good hospitality. On my buddy’s side, they were trying their best to ensure my stay was a good one, so even though not everything went the way I wanted it, I realized from some of these issues that it is not solely just what I want, and sometimes it is better to not be so assertive if it would be troublesome for my buddy. Thus, I’m really grateful to my host family.

Now that I’ve been to Kyoto and received such good hospitality, although the buddy that would be coming over wouldn’t be the same one, I’ll most probably be able to better empathize with him since I’ve experienced the outbound trip. Therefore, I’ll try my best to accommodate to my buddy’s needs, and try to do as much as I can with the existing barrier. And most of all, I’d like me and my buddy to have as much as possible when he comes over soon! :D"

anyway, if u managed to actually read all that, yea im kinda happy that i get a second chance, and it feels much easier to host than to go there and interact cos i've got more stuff to tell my buddy. and i kinda met him before too, somehow. lucky. but then im kinda worried that my buddy will judge me cos he looks quite the popular guy. sigh i have no confidence.

but yea, i think i've got quite a lot of things i want to tell my new buddy that i din't get to say to my old buddy. see how it goes. its only next next week :D. bring them around, especially now that i get how it feels like to be an outbound buddy. intending to host some bbq at one of the weekends (and jio ppl :P). and then i get to go night safari for the first time lol. pretty excited haha

kk anyway, that's all for now. bye ~~

talent search

today was pretty entertaining haha. our class went up first, so we kind of got it over and done with when there was still lesser people and got to watch the rest of the performances. the group performances were all pretty entertaining, especially the bands. galen is too good at hyping up the crowd lol. and even though dice din't win top 3 positions, i thought playing gentleman was quite cool haha.

quite relieved that it's over. it went pretty well haha, what with the many screwups on our last minute preparations within the last two days. but yea la there's a upper limit with our performance, and compared to other groups there, we were really lucky to get in lol. but anyway its really satisfying to perform as a class without screwing up :P.

kinda feel like doing our band thing again, just for the sake of fun. wanna try more jap songs. dreamriser! or fate-zero songs. or any song actually. just wanna try doing a jap song again. got more motivated to learn lyrics and stuff ever since coming back from sep haha.

speaking of sep, i guess i haven't really been blogging lately about my trips or stuff, so ppl don't really know what i did there. i just completed my reflections like 1 hour ago, so maybe, if u guys want, i can upload it lol. have quite alot of post i should catch up on, but not sure whether i'll actually do them in the end... so yep, anyway tmr i'm playing mahjong again lol. this week's been filled with quite a lot of activities and its pretty decent, except i got valles for english yet again D:. DDDDDD:

anyway, that's all for now. bye ~~

one whole month of travelling

sorry for being mia for so long. i kinda left without saying a word lol. finally received internet access yesterday, and boom all the notifications. but since now i have some time, just gonna make a short post.

so yea, im back after travelling for so long haha. first japan for sep, then london and ireland for my sis graduation. its been a lot of fun haha. experienced alot of things, took alot of photos, drank alot of tea, whether jap or english haha.

anyway, dunno by pure coincidence or not, the haze got really bad here lol. like seriously? 400? how's that possible lol. my eldest sister (back in singapore) even whatsapped herself wearing a N95 mask haha. and yea the haze is kinda gone now, and all school activities cancelled. maybe im lucky haha. but the weather's really weird now. it snowed? in singapore? ok more like chunks of ice fell at the west side lol. kinda wish it'll blow over to the east hehe.

anyway, england and ireland was really fun haha. this time more free and easy then sep. din't really have time to do much, but it was interesting. london was really nice, because the old buildings like the castles and villages are located next to modern buildings and yet it goes together so well. since for so many years they have been accumulating more and more over the super long history.

what's more i really enjoyed all the medieval history stuff haha. knights and weapons and armor and stuff. the history was actually pretty similar to the books i read, like the url of my blog :0, so i actually knew quite a bit heheh. so yea, i was really amazed by all the stuff i seen there.

ireland was also quite special, with its pub culture. the food is really good. drank some alchohol haha. guiness originated from ireland, and i also tried irish coffee, which is basically bailey's added into coffee haha. went to see some museum about vikings too :D.

ireland is also extremely scenic (according to my sister's photos), though we really had no time to tour around, cos was there mainly for the graduation ceremony. my sister's degree is like equivalent to a 4 year uni degree at trinity even though she went there only 3 months. that's pretty darn amazing haha. she's certified now heheh.

anyway, enough for now haha. im really lucky haha, still gonna go out for 2/3 more days in this holiday :P. gonna catch up with my anime, and RM haha. and need to finish my sep reflections lol. maybe i'd try to make some photoposts too, since photos of my trip are finally up heheh.

so little time left, and it'll be school again >.<. but i had a whole bunch of fun for 2 whole months already haha. dk how im gonna going back. been sleeping really late this days, and i can't blame jet lag lol. dunno how im gonna cope haha, haven't been in touch with any work-related stuff for 2 whole months :P.

k going off le. bye~~

back from SEP

just came back home today. as much as i would like to stay there for much longer, it somewhat feels quite good to be back home haha. the weather there was really great, but i guess im quite used to this warm weather too. probably will get sick of it within 1 or 2 days though lol.

gonna just post a short summary of the trip first.

first two days were really great. at first when i met my buddy's host family, it was really fun, because my buddy's family were quite a lively outspoken bunch.

my buddy's eng was pretty good, so almost everything that i know in jap, she can do it in english. yea din't really try talking in jap all the time cos it was somewhat awkward. but anyway, it was pretty fun talking in english + half broken jap, and actually the confusion in communication was what made it interesting.

we had no lessons for first two days cos the rits students had an excursion and some games day thing. so it wasn't that much to do. first day, i ate curry for dinner, second day takoyaki, which i tried making too and din't really succeed cos i broke quite a few while inverting them. regret not taking photo for this haha.

the third day we had to go over to NINS for some science workshop. honestly it was quite sian. and me and chee shudn't have chose basic bio, cos it wasn't basic at all, at least to us ppl who dropped bio. well we managed to get by without really understanding how it works. me, hong jing and chee were mainly trying to help them translate what they wanted to say into english.

and anyway, we stayed overnight at some hostel during the workshop. its abit shabby i guess, but wasn't too bad ba. bath was public, though there were screens for shower. food was not too bad actually. well the girls apparently stayed up gossiping about the guys, while the guys just talked random stuff. played some cards and so on.

so anyway our presentation was quite bad, cos compared to other groups, we couldn't reinforce the knowledge cos we din't really get anything. but we were first to present and it din't really matter i guess. went to toyata museum and it was really cool, with the car assembly demonstrations and some random place called technoland with a 15 m/s wind machine haha.

i kinda felt that we wasted two days though, since travelling from kyoto to nagoya took 3 hours, and it was like 5 by the time we came back.

then it was the weekends. kinda wanted to arrange going out as a big group, or at least a small group with chee and hong jing and whoever else who wanted to follow us, cos we wanted to shop for anime stuff together.

thing was my buddy had no wifi at all, so i couldn't use whatsapp and couldn't contact ppl directly. calling was really troublesome, idk why, cos their contract doesn't allow them to call much, its usually messages. so i guess i kinda put my buddy under quite a lot of stress trying to organize some outing to nara and shopping afterwards.

well it turned out pretty okay. visited a few places like some castle called niji-jo and arashiyama, which seems like a really nice place to hang around in summer. was without my buddy for both trips though. and i kinda wanted to go with friends too, but we weren't able to organize that so it was more like a family outing kinda thing. my buddy's young sister is very hyper and cute haha, so it was pretty fun too. sunday went to nara with yx to see all the deer :D. was really fun haha. but again my buddy couldn't go cos of exams.

well, i had quite a lot of fun for the weekend though i wanted to go with like chee and maybe spend some time shopping and looking for anime stuff and fazzing about stuff or something. i din't know it'll be so difficult to organize that, cos every family had their own plans, so i guess i created much more trouble for my host family than i expected, which i felt quite guilty about. but overall i enjoyed what they arranged for me

so yea i guess this trip i was pretty unlucky in the sense that i couldn't really interact much with my buddy. and after the stress of planning where do i go for the weekends, it got a little bit more awkward and we din't have as much to talk as before.

monday was like the last chance for desperate shopping. was a school day, and was pretty packed but there were lots of interesting activities. well their music lesson was unique, then a survival jap lesson. their pe was surprisingly fun. for physics we made a rainbow, and there was a flower arrangement after that, which we fooled around with. like making some spiral thing with the spare stems that we cut off.

after that, with some pleading and requesting i managed to get me, chee, yx, yong kuan and hong jing to go around shijo. we visited fushimi inari shrine first, which was some cool shrine near the school, though we spent less than 30 mins there.

shijo was really fun for me. i guess the rest bought their stuff already, but i haven't, cos i din't get the chance to during the weekend. went to animate awhile, again, though me and chee din't really have time to look around much, again, so we just got jookee's mag and went out. too bad i guess, so no anime souvenirs.

went around to get shirts, headbands, some food souvenirs. ate ramen, played taiko for awhile with chee. and it was already quite late D: so we couldn't go to the 100 yen shop or go to animate to look for stuff again. went to see fireflies instead. there was only a few that day though, compared to other days, but still pretty interesting.

spent like 4.4k yen in the airport cos otherwise i wouldn't have any souvenirs to give u guys. so yep sry, there's nothing but food that i can give. since everyone seems to have came back from their own programmes and stuff, i kinda want to have some outing for everyone to share food, souvenirs, and talk about some stuff haha.

so yea the trip was over like that. it was 8 days after all, but i felt it was quite a pity cos i din't get to do as much as i expected. but i guess im pretty grateful to my host family because they tried to engage me. wasn't the tearful goodbye like some of the other buddies, but yea i kinda liked my host buddy's family and i guess i'll miss them haha.

so yea that's about it lol. maybe i'll add pics that i took with my terrible phone camera. and i guess this wasn't as summarized as i thought it'll be haha. but anyway, it's pretty good to be back :D

pre-flight unease

its just a few days before the trip, but each day feels so long and suddenly i feel like i don't know what to do.

its not exactly that i'm worried for the trip or anything. ok at first i was, what with all the stuff that ppl keep telling me. and also for awhile, i felt that i'd be extremely awkward and screw things up when i go there.

now its more like i'm feeling somewhat sian. especially after finishing the info booklet and presentation. idk what else is there to do. i watch anime, but then not continuously, since i have the feeling like there isn't much time before the flight and i should be doing something else.

maybe its cos i've been tolerating a lot of stuff since thursday, boredom, anger, worry, discomfort.

my mum has been really, haiz, irritating and stuff. especially since thursday, where there was no school. sometime it gets pleasant and stuff, then other times, it just gets really annoying cos she keeps ranting on and i just disagree on some things, and then she says i shouldn't be like that or why am i always like that. and then i realise i don't feel like disagreeing anymore, but it doesn't stop, and i just sigh and shut up. but it happens so many times a day that sometimes i get angry too. grrr. a lot of pent-up moments since thursday.

finally got the packing done, with quite a lot of help from my mum. which makes me realise that i still get helped quite a lot.

i guess i did have quite a large share of fun since exams ended. like really. just that maybe i stopped blogging about them, but at least i noted them down. running man. karuta. outings to ppl's house, pool, movies, halo, board games. even organized a bbq and sleepover.

so yea. when monday night finally arrives (which feels like forever), i'll feel much better. please come. faster >.<

going to japan soon :D

waa really can't imagine that in just next monday, i'll be flying off to japan. after so long of reading jap and stuff haha. finally :D. admittedly i din't spend much time studying jap, but watching anime really helps a lot actually :P

anyway, i realised that our sep group is actually pretty fun :D. at first i was somewhat unwilling cos i felt that we were overdoing things, like filming and stuff. but it was actually pretty fun doing it. went chinatown with chee and yx on tuesday. even though we din't know what to do, me and chee kinda smoked something up, and oh god, it's embarassing to rewatch lol.

our meetup yesterday was pretty interesting too. din't exactly teach much jap, but we were talked about quite a bit of funny stuff. anh and yeye were both pretty hyped up even though they din't know how to say much. ended up watching anime to show them how kansai-ben sounds like lol.

was pretty worried that my buddy might not really talk to me much. but then, today mrs chong called me to tell me that i'll be getting a girl buddy. was pretty surprised actually. kinda smiled really retardedly after the call haha. ok la it's not like im desperate to look for jap girls, but there are some ppl who want to kill me cos of this. so ya i'm pretty lucky :D

k la enough ranting for now. gonna start packing already. five more days :D

games

games. idk why i play them. cos whenever i get stuck, im like cursing and swearing at the game, yet when i clear it, i don't exactly feel very accomplished or anything. all i feel is like, "finally completed this sh*t". then again, i don't have enough stamina to watch videos for more than 3 hours in a row, so...

its 25 may alr. darn fastt lol, only a few more days left haha. dk im somewhat nervous and excited. been like waiting for so long haha. hope to have alot of fun :D.

k la that's that for now. im sorry im lazy to blog :0

the outing after CMPB

came with lee to CMPB on monday. was feeling really nervous about medical check-up one week before, because tbf, i had a fear of injections. there was once in p6 where i kinda... ran away from the injection in school, and had to do it at some medical place afterwards :0

turned out the most crappy thing about the medical check-up was not the medical tests, but the freakin vocational test after that. maybe i just din't get enough sleep, but i absolutely died in there. the questions are just never-ending, u don't know how much time passed, cos no phone, no clock. alot of qns i wasn't expecting, like arithmetic progressions, quadratic, algebra, physics. there was an interesting one which is about following instructions. actually no it wasn't fun at all >.<

anyway, after everything was over, was really glad that we could finally leave. had a really weird feeling leaving the place, as though we were leaving prison. felt like we were coming back to civilization. met fiona, who was waiting for us for quite awhile at tiong bahru. wanted to eat at some place called strictly pancakes which we thought was near bugis. so yea it was the beginning of one hell of a walk.

so this is a good summary of the path we taken (take from fiona's blog lol)

day was super hot, and we got horribly lost at some carpark in between us that was full of dead ends. so when we reached strictly pancakes, we thought that finally, we can eat something. but turn out that of all days, it opens late only on mondays. +1 for bad luck.

but ok la, it wasn't that bad of a walk. ate some fish ice cream we got at the random korean market which tastes so good. i don't even know how. its just some fish like biscuit encasing vanilla ice cream with some red bean paste. korean food is good :D.

anyway, since we took all the effort of walking, decided to spend anyway. i thought i have enough money this week, so we went to spend at 日本村 at cathay. not too bad actually, portion was quite big, though of cos can't compare to the super good ramen last friday. ate until quite shiok la haha.

so yea today came back from chalet, and even went to studio for awhile. my wallet is completely empty now, with an untopped-up card, and im still in debt. but whatever. i will somehow be able to pay these off someday. someday D<

k la that's all for now. pretty excited bout tmr's outing :D

paydayyyy

today was an awesome day haha. was somewhat unplanned, as in we din't have anything exact to do, but 10 hours just flew by so quickly haha.

started by meeting at payar lebar and went to singapore post that building at 12:30, but cheeseng was late by 30 mins cos he was up recording the karuta readings.

dunno how, but we just came up with an idea for RM for cheeseng to do the moment he came lol. we just wrote some clue at the stabilo pencil, which lead him down to the popular downstairs, which led him to fairprice lol. the clues are still there now though, so some bo liao ppl might actually go and solve it :0.

anyway, after we met up, went to get ingredients for making brownie, ate lunch at some cheap place that sells waffles, then went to fiona's house to bake. baking was done pretty quickly cos it was pretty easy. wasn't exactly like a brownie, but it tasted like really tasty chocolate cake haha. took quite a few pics too. lee is a poser :P.

our brownie :D (why does it look so good lol. pro editting :0 )

after that we played a huge load of games. had some connect 4 round robin, jenga with coloured blocks. then there was the board game payday, which was pretty much the highlight of the day haha :D. its like game of life except the board is like a calendar with 31 days and alot of epic random stuff happening. super epic kay. completely died laughing many times haha

at first everyone was like freaking broke and had super huge debts to the bank, but after everyone else started hoarding the 'lao bei', cos of the old man on the $10000 note. a huge load of epic stuff happens. since i talked so much, got targeted like hell. i was the poorest, but they just took money from me, because lee wanted to make the game 'more fun'.

half the time was spent playing the lottery thing, and most of just like tried sticking to a certain number. like lee kept sticking to 1, like it's his car plate number, cos that's what most ppl who buy 4D do. they just stick to one number like forever. did alot of cockblocking and random donations to the 'charity', which goes to the jackpot lol.

since cheeseng was like throwing 1's and 2's all the time, three of us lapped chee seng at the last month of the game, and making huge load of jokes haha. we were like all retired already and shaking leg there with our money while chee is still investing :0. retired already still playing lottery and losing money and stuff though haha. aiya this game doesn't make sense, but its like 10 times more epic than monopoly. should bring to sleepover :D

anyway, after that was like 10, but we still played like karuta until 11. tried out reading without the pause between the number and the suit. im just so addicted to it, cos even though its boring to watch, its super thrilling to play :P. but turns out cheeseng is even more hardcore lol. his like faster and has better memory, so i realise im actually quite lousy at this game. so yea won 1 and lost 1. i think we got lee addicted to this game to haha. faster go watch then we can have some sort of tournament during sleepover :D

really excited for sleepover now, so many fun things to do. then there's bradley and loo and huang who's going to make it darn epic haha. hope it turns out well :D. k la that's all for tonight, so late liao. bye ^^

doing random stuff

yesterday was full of me doing random stuff. after like physics, being bored, me, yx, sam and simin went to use our phones to play piano lol. tried to like play random songs with one person doing the left hand, one person doing the right hand. darn retarded cos we kept making mistakes. but was a really fun way to burn time haha.

after lunch, came back up, and played a bit of slapjack. so when i went over to 03, i just randomly tried to make some sort of karuta with a deck of poker cards. basically, we took out all the diamonds and spades and are supposed to whack out the cards corresponding to the one being read out. like for example when five diamonds is read, both of us try to take five hearts faster than the opponent.

so yea, played with pin at first, with hardik as the reader. and it actually turned out to be damn fun :P. after that cheeseng came over to and tried to be reader as well lol. we irritated jookee alot with the 'naniwa zuni', who was there just playing his love live app, but he actually ended up playing the third match with me. and it just happened to become luck of the draw. darn epic haha.

after that, 4 of us went over to practice awhile at some place near bras basah, but spent like half, or more like three thirds of the time setting up :0. after that, wanted to eat some hot food, so we walked around arguing whether we should eat popeyes or kuey chap. in the end, ate kuey chap :D. cos it's cheap and good, even if its just carbs lol.

feeling quite restless now after sitting around watching anime for the whole day. wanna whack some cards so bad tmr haha. so far its 1-1 against pin. LETS REMATCH SOON. k la that's all for now. bye ~~

excited for SEP

been really excited for SEP ever since the meeting yesterday haha. finally haha. i know its slightly more than one month away, but it feels like its gonna happen so soon. feel so motivated to spam the brochure with info heheh. anyways, i need to spam mug jap for the next month haha. been slacking off way too long le.

anyway, ever since exams were over (technically not over cos there's still APs and english), been having a lot of fun haha. yesterday i kinda left school early. again. oops :P. went to fiona's house with kianwee and daryl to watch wreck-it ralph, which was a disney movie from last year i think.

i know im not a movie person, but damn, i was really impressed by wreck-it ralph. wreck-it ralph is really amazing, the plot is unique, an there were many genius ideas, the puns haha. so now i know not to judge a movie by its name haha. anyway, i won't spoil, but the basic plot is that the arcade characters are actually alive and have a life after the arcade closes haha. u can go watch if u want, its goooood :D.

after that i went to eat lunch, then went over to ryan's house, aka the after-exams gaming center. second time going there haha. was much better this time, managed to win the new ppl (hema, pin and jookee). actually hema is not new, and im pretty new, but yea. feels so good to snipe hema without him knowing where the hell i was heheh.

i know i missed out on quite alot of stuff yesterday haha, cos yesterday was like the play with ur teachers during lessons day. missed out on dm in 01 D:. i miss the water dark deck that i helped create from jookee's water deck. its the jian deck that uses an annoying strategy that makes the other guy keep wanting to rematch haha. brings back memories of what i used to do in hostel :P.

k la that's all for now. bye ^^

exams are over :D

"the hardest part of blogging is finding out how to end the post". said by me lol
its a sorry excuse for not blogging so long (or writing many half written posts without ending them). I decided short and simple is enough.

thanks to friends who make me feel that there are people who care about me. I don't notice things that people do for me sometimes, but yea thanks anyway :D

was really hard ending the post without being cheesy. sheeesh. anyway exams are over haha. kinda. kk so late now bye ~~

before the exams

had quite a lot of fun yesterday and today. yep, its the calm before the storm haha.

yesterday was fiona's birthday, and the celebration turned out pretty well. cake was great :D (since it costed $100). fiona was really impressed by the polaroid camera as her present haha. spent the time taking a few photos and chatting. since lee has been like worrying over this for like the past two days, so was pretty good that everything went well haha.

today, we played many, many different games for RM. i think we mangaed to play about 4, and suddenly we have many ideas for games now haha. had quite a lot of fun trying out the random new ideas. something to boost our morale and look forward to the end of exams. i haven't started preparing D:

so yea from tmr onwards gonna whack the stats booklet. im super slack already, so yep, good luck to everyone for next week. there's alot of stuff to look forward to after exams, like going to ritsu :DD.

k la that's all for now. bye~~

worn out

felt so sian and tired for these two days. its not like anything bad happened. in fact its going pretty ok. idk, maybe these two days have just been tough. napfa, stuff, a few more stuff... i come home so tired and worn out, even strangers acknowledge the fact that i look like i was about to crash in the mrt. but its ok now i guess. at least i'll have a breather for the rest of the week.

recently, even though there are some funny stuff that happen once in awhile, i find it harder to cope as i did before. im like a really boring person, trying my best to entertain or satisfy other people, but not really doing a good job. it feels like my presence is just sian-inducing to other ppl, including myself. idk la, maybe my mood's not so good after these two days.

k la i guess i'll relax abit for today. maybe i'll feel much better after some sleep. k that's all for now, bye.

sending off

rushed off to airport to send off my sis, who left for ireland at about 11pm. she got pretty emotional, since its gonna be a long 2 months. actually 6 weeks of studying and 6 weeks of fun stuff, which later my family's going to join in for awhile heh. wonder what london is like. probably pretty amazing :D.

so yea my june holidays will be pretty shiok, cos got SEP, which i have been waiting and preparing for such a loooong time. i really hope i get a friendly buddy. then there's this holiday that kinda just popped-up recently cos i failed to get in to OSAP plus my sister wants us to attend her convocation when she graduates.

slightly jealous of my sister haha. this 2 months is probably quite a life-changing experience. would really like to know what it feels like studying abroad. its like that last thing that's keeping me from choosing NUS, cos actually NUS isn't bad, just that lessons are pretty boring.

i know overreact on going to overseas to do stuff, but don't u think its kinda special? especially during this uni period, u can get to see places out there that would be hard after graduating, cos of something called real world.

maybe its wrong for me to think of having fun and stuff during this period ur supposed to work hard for ur future, but this kind of excitement in life from such things might just turn ur whole life around and make certain things memorable and meaningful. cos yolo (nvr thought i'll actually use that phrase)

k la enough random stuff for now. bye ~

math journal

yea, i know, bad title lol. anyway, sorry for the profanity, but I'M FINALLY OVER WITH THAT BITCH!! feel so free now yeaaaa. but walao-eh that math journal made me sleep 2 hrs yesterday and then forced me to stay in class like a mugger, all the way till 4pm. just damn relieved that its over haha.

anyway, math journal aside, today i finally see some glimmer of hope for napfa. been saying this for damn long now, but that cursed 2cm that's preventing me from getting D (222cm) was really ughhh.

anyway, when i was like demoralised that i kept landing on the 210-220 range many times today, mr fan suddenly placed his hat above the 180 cm mark like a bait, and asked me to reach for it while jumping. and the two times i jumped like that i cleared 222cm so easily haha. what's this sorcery :P.

but when mr fan left and i tried with someone's bottle, couldn't reach 222 anymore. sigh. idk, maybe its just mr fan's hat lol. but yea time to squat like a dog this week lol. cos really ah, that 2cm = 2months of extra NS. this is important lol. but at least i know i have hope now haha.

anyway, today is wong's birthday haha. probably he's receiving very special treatment right now haha. ok la he claimed that there was nothing today. but it's up to u to believe him :P.

tomorrow no school :D. e-learning though. but as long as no damned english stuff to do, it'll be all good haha. kk that's all for now ba. bye ^^

last minute homework

allow me to rant bout school for once lol. yea now im rushing, rushing, cos i slacked too much, even though i don't regret slacking. but gah, i burnt too much time on games, should have watched more anime or something. din't even touch jap or something, cos im lazy :0

anyway, its not really that hard, really. especially for me its even slacker. just a math journal, a prac, and a english AQ that i probably don't have to put so much effort cos my groupmates are pros. math journal's quite retarded actually. 8-10 notes with about 15 pages each, squeezing all of that into 8 pages? damn hard le...

i think i prefer handwritten assignments. since i always stay back so late in school anyway, so i always end up doing them. when computer though, i just end up writing one para, playing candy crush, writing another para, watching one ep of anime, etc.

kk nvm idk why i wrote this post. time to rush haha :P

playing hard

went to soundbox with jookee, pin and chee seng today. practice was so productive today haha. and it was actually pretty fun and not stressful heheh. pin and jookee ah, always arguing and making lame jokes XD

after it was over, we went to burn money lol at arcade. there was this pogo-stick game which was pretty epic haha. seriously just spam hopping and trying to turn corners, like in mario cart. the game lasted 4 laps and we each took turns for one lap cos its so damn tiring >.<. japs invent the most weird games haha.

after that, din't go home but went ryan's house instead with jookee. long time since i played console games :P. i was completely noob lol. kept being last in all the free-for all games except certain miracle moments. team battles are really close though cos loo makes up for my noobness heheh. left thumbs hurting abit though :0.

today was a pretty fun day haha. shall try these things some other again :D. k la that's all bye :)

holidays

haven't posted in quite awhile lol. and look its more than halfway past the holidays alr :/, but shall enjoy it as long as i can. anyway, last week was pretty intense haha, shan't post bout it though, since most ppl get the point alr.

so yea first term is over. wow that's pretty fast actually. looking at what i did one, two months ago, it din't seem very long, but yea some things became pretty nice this year. i always say this though, so u can't take my word for it.

kinda lost touch with anime and learning jap through this term, though kinda catching up this holidays. been abit too crazy with running man, what watching 20+ episodes this term lol, ever since i discovered i could entertain myself with train rides haha. so yea, agree with chee seng term 1 is like the term of RM. wonder what next term will be like, ignoring exams. and there's SEP after that :D :D.

been to quite a few open houses too, recently. actually not that recent, SUTD was three weeks ago. gasp so long alr. think i kinda decided with NUS already haha. its just much bigger and although lessons don't seem that interesting or challenging, its just more fun cos there's so many programs. like the overseas one and the internship ones. and there's also non-acad ones, and cool CCAs and stuff.

of course i kinda doing engineering alr ba, though haven't decided which type. and haha im actually considering doing a minor in jap studies. that'll be pretty interesting heheh. and who knows what that could allow me to do.

shall end off with some things i should let ppl know. to some ppl, i am sorry. i know i always keep quiet about stuff, cos i feel awkward giving out my opinions (and partially cos no one really asks anyway), so no one really knows what im thinking. but yea, im really sorry, and am thinking of how to make things better. probably some ppl don't really agree with how i see things, or my attitude. i know this isn't exactly responsible either. just know that i don't hate anyone for thinking this way.

k la that's all for now. bye :)

im not really trying anymore, but i'll still help because i can't help it.

the starting break

din't expect today to be so long lol. but was really fun :D. getting into holiday mood alr haha.

lessons was nothing much ba. at least mr soh was pretty interesting. his analogies keeps getting better and better haha. and he talked alot of crap too lol. what with suitcase machine guns and umbrella resin needles to assasinate ppl.

played loads of frisbee today haha. its really fun playing the hall cos it was so smooth. and everyone's trying cool throws, forehands, hammers, bouncing throws haha. even had a really epic game of touch frisbee or something.

after that we played RM, the target game that daryl came up with. i was like the first target and died the moment i broke camping in the audi lol. too nub liao. even after i got wildcarded and revived to be the number 0, i still died. so yea. wong's really violent and scheming tskkk.

went back up to class. lee din't want to ditch me and kw cos we weren't watching 'Ah Boys to Men', so he was like reluctant to go. haha such a bro. anyway me and kw decided to tag along for dinner, cos we convinced that chill, we still have 4 more days left this week to go out haha.

had a really fun time reminiscing about childhood games on the bus, like pokemon and neopets haha. lol neopets. i realise how complex it actually was now. might actually go back and try it out someday haha. also had a pretty hearty meal before we went back. din't expect to spend so much today lol. must start saving tskk (or being cheapskate :P)

k la that's all for now. bye~~

Tuesday, March 12, 2013

back home early

came home early wanting to do alot of stuff, watch anime, and stuff. cos after i finish chem prac, there's no more hw left for the week :D (which is rare). but ended up sleeping and dreaming so long. woke up and it was slightly dark yet bright, and i thought crap, i overslept for next day. so yea it's 11 now, haven't touch chem report, haven't touch anime. sigh, can't even slack productively.

anyway, the last four days of this week looks really shiok haha. prolly gonna have a non-SSEF outing/running man, since so many of us din't get haha. then friday is cross country and idk what will happen, saturday is open house and sunday is running man. for REAL. at marina bay or something haha.

kinda sad that term 1 is over. i know alot of ppl can't wait to get out of this sch and stuff, but still, enjoy it when u can. don't worry so much, that's what i feel. kk that's all for now. bye ~~

a lot of running

sorry it's been reaaally long since i last posted. wanted to post about more stuff too, but i guess i owe this post lol. anyway, had quite a lot of outings during this period lol. not exactly broke yet, but im being really cheapskate nowadays cos i burn so much on thursdays and fridays haha.

last week went to SUTD open house, and to summarize, im actually thinking SUTD is not bad too, but i still don't know whether i can trust it to be good lol. and we also made some toys at the fab lab, which was mainly what we did there actually. daryl made this really cute couple toy (dk how to describe it). kian wee made some wizard and i made some running man thing haha, cos i din't know what else to make.

after that we went out to eat at wendy's. and even though quite a few ppl din't want to go bowling, we went anyway /o\. peer pressure :0. was pretty terrible, as in our scores haha. but pretty fun :D

mon-wed din't really have stuff, because actually most things happen on thurs and fri for me. by right this thurs we din't have RM cos cheeseng has medical check-up, and wong, chee, fiona and tann all couldn't make it. but lee still managed to organise it woot.

played two warm up chasing games, then we played the game he planned, where each person had a number, and the highest number becomes the target. everyone else has to eliminate the target. but the catch is that if the target kills someone, they switch numbers, so he'll become the target much later. until only the last man is left standing.

john huang really was the MVP haha. from number 6, the first target, he died, then got revived through wildcard to be number 3, then killed JUNWEI to become number 1, and finally killed kian wee, the second wildcard.

friday was pretty hardcore, cos of all the running. i kinda wanted to plan one game too haha, cos i got inspiration from cheeseng's wooden peg game. was tricky to pull it off, cos i was really brainstorming for places to hide the tags just one hour before the game, and yet make them very relevant to the clues i gave. so yea only managed to set it up by 2:50. quite proud of the game :D, though idk how fun it is cos i was moderator lol.

after that media had some scavenger game too, where ppl without cam suppose to find stuff while ppl with cam are supposed to take the face of the scavengers. was pretty sian though cos halfway ppl started walking around. and i couldn't find anything or take photos of anyone. but ok la, for the last session of the term.

played soccer after that, which was more like an artillery field, cos the soccer ppl were practicing shooting, and there's someone on the other side to kick the balls back to the field cos we refused to pick them up lol. so yea, balls kept flying from all directions, but din't really hit anyone. game was really balanced and fun :D.

after that, we left before it got too late cos IKEA was having meatballs for 10 cents. dayum that's cheap. the queue was scarily long, so almost all of us went to anchorpoint to eat instead, while pin and jookee queued. anchorpoint's food was really gooooood, but we were mainly equating it to meatballs. like the super delicious horfun that me and wong shared was worth 50 meatballs, and suddenly it seems abit little lol. but worth it, cos it was really gooood.

went back to IKEA cos jookee and pin finally got to eat and they bought about 60 meatballs for the rest of us to eat. and yea they made no loss cos someone paid them $4 to cut queue :0. what's the point of 10 cent meatballs if u pay $4 -.-. but yea they also made commission from us. but still, $1.50 for 10 meatballs isn't half bad :D.

kk that's it ba. actually went for grandpa's dinner yesterday, but probably nothing ppl would be interested in haha. shall try to blog more frequently lol. just 2 more reports and one english quiz, and everything is ovarrrr. need to catch up with my anime and learning jap haha. kk that's all. bye~~

to the playground

went to casa clementi for RM today, which was actually the flats just opposite our school lol. the layout looks really cool haha.

started off with virus to familiarize ourselves with the confusing layout, and it was pretty decent. the two mission games after that, honestly speaking though, was kinda messy. especially on the mission side, cos the mission was simply to darn hard and most ppl din't know what to do except chase or hide :/

the fun part abt today was after dinner though. we went back to the playground as we were supposed to cross it to reach the bus stop. ended up playing around so much, reliving our childhoods (actually im kinda deprived as i din't really go to playgrounds last time).

the wheel was pretty epic haha. basically its a horizontal wheel that is wide enough to stand on. however, it is inclined slightly, and is simply impossible to get to the top, cos the wheel keeps speeding up. something like a hamster wheel. in the end we just all sat at one end each and some one went to spin the wheel damn fast, like a mini roller coaster :D.

also played some monkey bar kind of game, where two ppl are supposed to hang on to a bar and try to pull each other down using the legs. we thought lee was darn good, but wong's the true master lol. he gripped the bar in a weird way, and ended up catching lee from the shoulder. then when he couldn't pull lee down, he jumped onto lee :0. gg man that guy so competitive, must win every single game de tsktsk.

we still did other things there, but shan't describe any further. fiona has the pics i think, though it's somewhat embarassing :P. anyway, conclusion was that we must come back here some day haha, maybe at night if possible so that its not so hot. should have done so last year, cos it's barely 5 min from hostel, but haiz, no chance for that le. nvm ba.

anyway, me and lee get to plan the next game haha. the chasing idea seems really cool this time, and lee even made a proposal for it lol. we're serious 'bout this, bra. hope next mission can be more successful than this one. k la its somewhat late now. good night :)

hell week

this week is really hell week. everyone's seems to be stressed and upset, and i'm being somewhat affected too. feeling rather worried that some of the unhappiness ppl are feeling are caused by me, cos haiz... i think i did some things wrongly.

can't really stand the sianness of it all sigh. usually not so stressed up like this. just hope once thursday is over everything goes back to normal. there's rm and also that dinner to look forward to. just two more days D:

k la that's all for now. bye~~

Monday, February 25, 2013

unexpectedly great day :D

today turned out to be a really fun day haha. pe was like crap la of cos. only managed to run 8 rounds tskk.

kinda pon-ed house meeting today lol (yea i know im bad :P), and instead ended up playing some running man haha. me, daryl and kian wee went to re-play that game of trying to pull out each other's band around their arm cos daryl kinda missed out on the action last week. idk why 05 has a gigantic roll of parafilm, so we used as the arm band(i know, very waste).

we tried out with other stuff too, like the tag thing in RM and gloves from yong jen's bag (who smuggles them from the bio lab o_o). fiona even went to film it down now, so we now have our first short RM video haha. very embarassing though heheh. was thinking on how epic it'll be if chee seng can build on the idea and make some mass free for all in the netball court with some task too, like picking up cards or something. no pressure to do it though, we can always try it out ourselves.

and art i finally finished my drawing haha, which commented that it was good :D. everyone was kinda reluctant for it to end though, cos all too engrossed le. even though left at 6:10, managed to find wong, chee and huang in the lounge, and fiona ended art around that time too. so yea, din't go home alone this week ^^. played some 5 player murderer also haha. and huang with his jokes again lol.

can't wait for next two days to be over, where most of us'll be finally free from ARP :D. looking forward to RM on thursday and that celebratory dinner we're planning to have haha. two more days, let's go! kk nth to say le. bye ^^

why i love the gang

i wish i had jap classes on the weekend so that i stop procrastinating at home. jcs hasn't contacted me yet after one month. maybe i shall go back there one day.

went to check out the one at tampines cc yesterday, but its wed and only elementary course. i guess its just too hard to find a short intermediate course that finishes before sep.

anyway i realised why i wanted to blog differently. my posts are bland because all i talk about is what i do, but i don't put my insights or emotions inside. anyway i realised this cos i read fiona's post about our dinner on friday. haha that dinner was really simple but felt so nice.

im also really glad that we are hanging out together. the gang is special, and i just can't get the same feeling with other ppl.

i'm really sry to the ppl in my class reading this, but as much as they are really bonded and fun-loving, i still can't help but feel somewhat restrained and slightly excluded. i guess its probably cos my class ppl is always working on stuff and doing meaningful things and talking about not having enough time to do work, while im always staying back late cos i want to hang out, draw, play futsal, etc. and basically slack.

maybe i feel somewhat guilty for slacking and also different from them. cos all i want to do is have as much fun as i can this year. im too lax on myself because i have a very idealistic dream in my head.

with the gang though, i feel so comfortable being myself and not awkward to do retarded things or say anything or joke around. there's no atmosphere of work or seriousness and its just fun and epicness. there's a little bit of physicalness and swearing and teasing, but they're good ppl and i guess the balance is just right for me. after all, i know im a slacker at heart :P.

i hope i haven't offended anyone by writing this. kk its the 15th today, ppl are coming to my house :D. bye ~~

don't sacrifice happiness to do things that do not truly make u happy
