today was quite fun haha. i still remember last year where i also wrote a post about making dumplings. yea the photos were pretty nice too haha.
this year's one was rather different. i woke up to the sound of my cousin's voice lolol. basically on my mother's side i only have 3 cousins, all in the same family, and only the youngest, si ning came. but that looks abit weird to type...
but anyway, haha not really my fault that i woke up so late leh >.<. i stopped using my comp at 12+ lor (cos modem got off-ed lolol, and btw i added abit more to the post yesterday, cos modem got off-ed before i could...). and it was so darn hot yesterday i could sweat with fan speed 2 directed at me. and yesterday was pretty darn tiring too lolz. and i dreamt. so that three combined made me wake at 11:30. ok that was alot of excuses...
wow quite a pleasant surprise though my mum's parents, a few of my aunts, and my cousin and her mum was downstairs. anyway, at first i dint really do anything, cos they were still cooking ingredients. anyway, my cousin (oh yea she's 10 by the way, and very cute lol), she brought board games :D. yea my cousin's house a lot of board games de, and sometimes their whole family play de. so yea we played saboteur for awhile.
saboteur is that miner game, dunno whether u heard of it. played with cards, and like a few saboteurs, the rest miners. u lay cards along some space to reach the gold, while the saboteurs (who are unknown) will try to screw it up so that u run out of path cards before u get the gold. quite fun heh. and so good la their whole family sometimes will play together that's like 5 ppl compared to me miserably doing my own stuff lololz.
anyway, after that we went out to eat lunch, except one of my aunt's and my aunt (maid lol). went to kopitiam (again like yesterday). this time i knew what to eat :P. bought fish noodles, and yada we ate our food lolz.
halfway, my aunt (real aunt) back at home called to say that they spilled some ingredients. they dropped a bowl of dao luk (chestnuts), cos the table they put it on is foldable, and probably nvr fix properly so yea dao luk dropped. and my mum was so uptight about o.O. she was talking darn loudly in the kopitiam. aiyo relax la =.=.
anyway, we came back, realised that nothing much happened la. just half the bowl of dao luk gone only, plus we bought a bit more. anyways, before we left, there was this bowl of rice that is purple cos they experimented adding dragonfruit juice on it. but darn sad the cooked one looks rather yellow-ish and doesn't taste much different. but ok la, still got pandan rice and normal meaty kind of dumping (my favourite :D).
so anyway, we all joined in to wrap dumplings. haha i dint know my cousin's mum dint really know how to do it, cos she's quite good at cooking, and yea my cousin helped too. heh im not that good myself, but i kind of found out some techniques (ok la not really techniques zzz), that makes folding easier. cos dumpling ur first fold, and how much rice u put in really determines the shape of the dumpling. but as long as it tastes the same, then... lol :P
oh yea btw, my mum took a few photos heheh. since tmr im free, id prolly make a short picture post of yesterday, and also the outing before that.
anyway, i also tried tying the dumpling to the rack with the string. but damn its so frustrating cos i bet im doing it wrong, cos the string coils keep sliding out. or else i leave to little space to tie a ribbon. and i also started having problems with folding dumplings >.<. at first before trying to tie the dumpling to the rack, i fold like 3-4 + with no problem lor. then after that took like 20+ minutes trying to personally tie it to the rack, and it deformed a few times. tskkk. i gave up after that lololz.
anyway, they continued making dumplings after that while i just came up here and tenhou-ed for 4 (yea 4...) hours straight oh god. until 8. well i seem to have gotten out some value system and i feel like im playing quite well haha, even though i kept losing towards the end. after that, just went down to eat. some of them went back already, but my grandma and aunt were still working until abt 10 before they left. yea at least i might get to eat some dumplings for the rest of the week :D. and if they tasted horrible i prolly was the one who made it lolz.
and yea today was slightly productive other than fun, cos did eng project. yea i wrote in 300 words :D:D im proud lolz. more like cos me and claudia (so far only two of us working on it), keep discussing and talking but dint convert it to words, but when time to write, woa floww man. heh. ok la not something to be very proud about o.o.
ok i nothing to say le. my father was going to off the modem but i said i was doing work lol :P. but hey i was doing work from 10-12 or id be blogging either wayz. ok anyway, bye~~
i've been practising. i haven't told anyone about it yet, even though its no big secret. but still, maybe i'll just wait until i become better at it :D
