came back

not going to say anything bout thursday. it was just a day of tests, and spamming arm exercises in the gym.

friday dint have much either. during the epic break between math and cca, i was slacking around, then went tv room play village again. that game takes up too much time. its fun and all, but last time i used to walk around and meet more people. nowadays i just stuck in that room for 3+ hours. and when the village people are there, some people dont come in anymore :(

then cca was about doing yearbook (again). but this time i wasnt so scared bout approaching ppl, cos i have to guide teng chiong, year 1 guy attached to me, and yeo doesnt really say anything... i actually talked to him alot lolz. robotics tentatively settled?, then dance cant use their cca fair photos, so some other day. and basketball i dont even know anyone except kevin, yong joo and zijian. so we just slacked lolz.

anyway i stayed back that night, cos i have SYPA at 8.15am on sat. damn fail la, cos i wanted to do alot of stuff that night? like i wanted to explore the observatory, makeover my room cos very messy, file all my crap, and make huge progress in learning jap as well as slacking. but i slept. at 8:30. ouch. woke up at 1:30 with the oh shit realisation. and i dint do laundry. double ouch.

couldnt sleep from 1:30 - 3 cos really uncomfortable, and dint feel tired anymore. insomniac. used my phone till i was sleepy. set alarm at 6:50 just in case.

then next morning i woke up and it was already bright. i was like oh shit overslept. thank god was 7:20 due to sheer force of habit. cos my alarm doesnt ring on weekends :o. still i was quite late. rushed there and thought i reached in time at 8:20. turned out i was in the wrong side of botanic gardens -.-

had to chiong all the way over to the other side and it took me like 30 mins la what the heck. got fined $5:30. technically it shud be $2.30 cos the thing starts at 8:30. it actually started at 9 lolz.

so anyway there were talks from two professionals. one guy taught us stuff like what photography really is about. and what photographers really do, and how most of the stuff is done by photoshop lolz. was really interesting, cos he showed us really nice photos taken with just normal phone cameras and all that. its just his skills, like keep things simple and all that.

and the five misconceptions bout photography thing seems quite useful for photographers like us to know. the most important one is "why good isn't good enough?". because "different is better than good". thats what we should be looking for actually.

then the other guy is a press photographer, which is really difficult job imo. like sometimes they only have one attempt in taking the photo, like when the fire is being put out he must get the shot, or when president nathan waves goodbye at his last day, then he must get it right. i mean u cant ask him redo right lol... and sports photography he got some really nice shots, cos he anticipated correctly.

after that we were made to go out and shoot. ok la, but we couldnt really find anything special to take, except the guy from changkat who took the boy with the sad face cos it was raining. got criticed, saying it could be better if there seem to have some relation with environment, or if the composition was more interesting or something.

so yala they critiqued, then thats about it. i dont think im actually participating in the competition lol. just went for fun.

went back with stuff, even though its just a day only, then went to some restaurant in far east for dinner. was a really expensive dinner to celebrate my granpa's birthday. it was like what? 2k for 28ppl wth. thats a really scary thought...

basically was so expensive because of fo tiao qiang. but my cousins and me, and my sisters like cannot appreciate it lolz. it tasted a bit fishy in fact lolz. so much for $80 per head.

went back to school at 12:30 pm next day for boarding day. very few ppl were there lor, except lots of boarding couples. like almost all of them were paired lol. i dint know there were so many haha. foodwise was quite terrible actually. im starting to not like bean sprouts anymore. hostel cant cook them well. keep tasting rawish.

anyway at 2:30 games day started. my grp only got 12 ppl come lolz. there were a few familiar ppl like khairul wenyi wanqi kt, and the rest i just know their names only :o

first game was captain's ball. with a freakin waterbomb. the rules kinda screwed up, so yos kindof abused the last touch rule by spamming water bombs at wanqi lolz. quite evil. and was really hard to play. i think it shud have been whenever water bomb burst change in possesion. but whatever. dint really get wet then lolz. ended in draw cos both side scored 1 for ball and bomb.

second was human fusbal. quite a good idea actually, except u hit ppl, so ouch. other than that quite interesting. lost cos they had some ghey vietnam shooter.

third was ninja warrior. the hoop thing and crawl thing nothing de. main thing was the sliding thing. i actually managed to sneak and steal group 5's bunch of sticks cos they left it unattended, and i remembered there was this paper that say u can steal but no snatching. but in the end just left it at our area before we walked off, to remind them to watch their sticks /o\.

after that was dog and bone. looks ok, but i got knocked out within like 40s? some girl elbowed the "bone", a hard 1.5L water bottle into my mouth, so ouch. but yeala its kindof healed alr lolz. and seems kind of funny actually. after getting first aid went back to see. lost again lolz.

the ping pong thing was retarded. our group kindof cheated. just pour and transfer balls de nothing much.

then was the solve me thing. take puzzle from this disgusting mixture of hostel breakfast, then walk in a pair with one foot each tied together, and basically solve it la. quite fun actually. but disgusting. wenyi accidentally flicked some of the mixture on mr murali LOL. almost got owned. ended up -1 "golden stick".

most fun was the volleyball with water bomb, cos need catch the thing with a black square piece of plastic bag. other team like heck care de though, so we won. that game really very fun shud play some day again.

cant be bothered to put photos of the games though... :/. im taking too long anyway.

buffet was kindof good. lots of ppl brought their families. png's sisters, jolin, joy and jean. jew's sister and his brother, jack. jack is damn cute can lolol. then also got issac's sister hannah? and chee's sister jacinda. we were like having a family party near the back entrance of school la lolz.
