42 SAR trip

today was really fun, but draining. the back half was terrible though. my body couldn't handle the exhaustion, even though i dint actually do much physical stuff...

so anyway, some private bus sent us to the 42 SAR regiment, which was mainly for armoured infantry, and tanks :D. those tanks really look smexy, but at the same time so dangerous, especially when the cannon is pointed at ur face. hope we never have a need to use it in real life...

at first was some rather boring show of marching. the guys really look damn young, like teenagers, but something about them tells us buff. after that there was this crazy loud demonstration of firepower. waa the machine guns freakin loud la. i was actually afraid despite how far i was from the thing. lol but it was just blanks filled with compressed air. even still, i wouldnt exactly want to use such a dangerous weapon ... hope there won't ever be another war, though thats quite impossible. wouldnt want to kill ppl lolz...

i was actually REALLY enthusiastic to try out the stuff. firstly was some dummy mines thing. engineers get the most fun job of blowing stuff up haha. the way that army guy told us about the stuff was kinda epic la. like they buey song the obstacles then use the C3 to blow it up. and he keep talking bout CS and modern warfare lolz. epic guy man.

then the scouts with the night vision binoc and this huge infrared sensor. looks damn cool haha. i think the night sensor just tune up iso damn high, just like in a camera, so can see lots of noise. the infrared one is really damn cool, black and white image. and of cos i fooled around with those...

then later we went to ride the tank. i got to stand at the top, so the ride was really windy and shiok. yea and i very lame de, pretending to shoot some gun at the other tank lolz. yea really damn fun. the driver also very cool de. basically he was talking to me, though i couldnt really hear what he was saying, but when i heard it i was like "no la!". haha i leave u to guess what he said.

then we went to camo paint section, and some telephone thing, and some dark room to test out the night vision binoc. this part not so cool le, but still fun ba. and everytime need volunteer, whole class keep asking me to go de. paiseh la. mentor rep haha must not be afraid to look foolish :P

got owned by camo paint, cos certain ppl had to smear paint on my face and neck -.-. and yea felicia and cg were about to undergo "camo paint" war lolz, but cg's arms are longer, so felicia would have got owned haha.

then it was going into some tank to look at the stuff. i knocked my head on the metal ceiling (ouch :( ), so got balacku le... clumsy as always. lol it actually looks kinda condusive to play bridge, but soldiers dont get such luxury. apparently the machine guns are REALLY difficult to cock, but i dint get to try. even zong yao had trouble cocking it lol. i think jazlene managed to do so... buff woman. we wasted quite alot of time there actually, cos some slackers wanted to sit inside the tank to enjoy the fan... zzz.

then we went to try out the guns la. this time everyone, even the girls, kinda fooled around. apparently alot of ppl like to shoot at seeu kun haha, dunno what reason. and when ppl point the gun at me, im like scared, even though there's no danger at all. the gun hole just looks really scary.

then there was the machine gun which was quite hard to cock. got technique de, but if i dont prop my leg, i cant cock it. weak lolz. clara is buffer than she looks man... like she cock it with that kind of expression that the army guys were like "woahhh". and felicia failed, so she was like "screw this la". so fierce XD. army guys were like "woaahh" again.

then was the rations thing lor. not too bad haha. the pasta was kinda spicy, but tastiest. then we went to eat, and interact, which was kind boring, cos i dint know what to say... i kinda fell sleepy from that point on. next time shud choose seat last, then can choose best seats...

same for the debrief. sat next to seeu kun and lowell, who sleeped very unglamly LOL. was doing random crap in front of his face but he dint realise. but seeu kun very random de dunno what to say to her. too smart liao haha. i was really sleepy, and the video was kind of a blur, but suddenly during qna, when some guy asked about pay (other than ryan who doesnt know u get paid during service), then everyone got perked up lolz. haiz materialistic bunch.

took bus back. EVERYBODY fell asleep, except me, who was singing to keep myself awake. shud have just rested, but i tot there might be someone to talked too. haiz, then got dcarp immediately. went down buy milo first. drink stall auntie as usual said some mushy stuff /o\. got perked up for awhile, but during lesson i got blurry.

the presentation part we all kinda heard before. and the video was freakin random. she showed us that to tell us to zoom in and zoom out to get a new perspective, but wtheck the video zoomed out until u saw galaxies, and zoomed in until u saw quarks. ok... and the music was kinda weird too.

then everyone mentioned feedback bout the workshop. realised it was quite flawed actually, cos there aint much guiding to do certain stuff like fieldwork, and we dint have much advise on how to build up our idea. not enough preparation time for presentation too. kinda screwed actually. im starting to get worried. but for now we can be as idealistic as possible, so if we dont really care about feasibility, then maybe the poster aint that hard after all...

released half hour early, then went to play soccer with ram, pengseng, zheyuan, muru, leon, hk, tzehow. was damn EPIC. havent played with them for long time. peng seng was like all ego and all that, then was some sort of "manager" for the team. but he tyco did some really cool stuff, and their teamwork (ram, aps, zheyuan, muru) was actually quite formidable, so me, leon, hk and jiji lost. couldnt stand it half the time, cos so freakin funny when i try to tackle them that i kindof gave up lol. yea and i was terrible today. cannot tackle fully de. but so were the rest LOL. ok enough soccer description...

ate at 6:30. my body was so exhausted, but at that time it felt like i had no energy to eat. went back room and was supposed to do laundry, but i laid down on the bed and really crashed, because i couldnt stand up anymore... woke up at 8:50. was too late to do laundry by then... but at least still can collect...

i felt so weak :o, but after eating chocalate and drinking water kind of felt better. other ppl also crashing in my room now... the SAR thing really makes u tired. i guess it kinda felt like a crash course of NS, which would be like this everyday... hope i can get used to it. might seem kinda impossible, but i think in the end everyone adapts and after a few months, it kinda seems like everyday life again lolz.

just saw the email mr lim sent. yay he was happy bout the balloon stick he got as v'day gift lolz. awesome teacher la really. the email was quite funny haha.

but sometimes things arent really like that. how u treat someone reflects how they treat u back. isnt that supposedly the case? but still, sometimes..., i feel kinda mistreated. its actually kinda my fault for having so many bad habits and all, but i sometimes cant ignore what ppl say, no matter how deserving it is. and that's where the "dick" side of me comes out... sometimes i feel like i deserve to be treated better, but due to some sort of common mindset by most ppl in life in general, its kind of impossible. it sucks to be an underdog, really.

haiz. took too long to blog again. need read up english now. just leave chem go die. anyway, sometimes just screwing up, losing few marks here and there, isnt going to have any impact in ur life anyway. should just enjoy the time left i have in school. its feb 15 le. why so fast?... hope something really memorable happens in near future. ok g2g bye.
