media camp

reviving my blog after so long. stopped ever since sep and after i got a new phone, where i started gaming like mad. so anyway, the past few months have been quite interesting actually. i kinda overindulged lol. went to jap buffet, justacia, pizza buffet, played a LOT of games, x-box parties and stuff.

anyway, last weekend there was media camp. at first i thought it was really sian cos i came all the way from the east with all my sleepover stuff and camera and not getting any seats, made to run 4 rounds, and played some really tiring husband and wife game. but actually it was pretty fun, especially the second day.

so after all the work for stopmotion on the first day, we had a bbq with really good food and ppl shooting each other with water guns. there was even this gigantic water gun that jiamin brought, and damn, its powerful. and funny ppl like ernest kept going 'what hahpen' and singing the op for free! lol.

after that was the night activity that was similar to the one in pre-o camp. which was not bad la, all the running, but there's always this part where everyone gets hopeless and like gives up, until the last part where we just spammed any idea in order to defeat the facils. especially me haha. i was just randomly saying words even though they obviously won't work lol.

amazing race was really good, even though it was at school. cos the clues are solvable, and the tasks are challenging, but also doable. and the water games were legit. everyone really got soaked wet. at the end of the race there was some water fight section and lots of stuff got broken, but it was really fun haha.

at the end of the day we finished up our stop-motions, and then went to the sem room to watch, where sk was sleeping so soundly with his arms inside his shirt that everyone did retarded stuff to him and he din't even realise lol. before they screened our stop motions we also watched some retarded videos like 'what the fox say' and 'stonehenge'. was basically just a laughing session lol.

anyway, some group's stopmotions were really entertaining, such as waiyin's mario-kart parody. there was a pokemon-parody, and our group's one was a tetris-parody. and there was one that's censored lol, so they din't end up playing it. 

finished up with some shingeki like thing that the facils made, and the first 20 seconds were really good, but then they never finished the film. too bad i guess. maybe one day after exams i can go make one too haha. k la that's all for now. bye ~~

last orientation

been a pretty hectic but exciting three days haha. now can finally get some of the slack that i have been craving for haha :D. i need these breaks to keep me going lol.

but anyway, orientation has been really fun. these three days have been jam-packed with things to do, and it felt so long and fulfilling. i felt like i got closer to quite alot of ppl in just these three days. the actors, the ogl's while i was station-mastering, the ppl working on the key, and other ppl we just happen to work with and talk to. and i also changed my views on quite a few ppl that turned out to be nicer than i thought.

for me, it was rather slack, cos i din't really have a proper role decided even then. i just kinda went around and freelanced the jobs, so it was kinda more relaxed for me. it was pretty tough on some of the people, especially adrian and justin, so they really deserve the credit. so debriefing ended off on a pretty high note, except for the cleaning up :P. and we kinda went crazy taking photos haha.

but anyway we all kinda din't mention something during the briefing that deep down we all knew. personally, i was relatively entertained by the performances, especially nobel's save the earth dance haha. but ya, it wasn't what we expected, and frankly, i think a lot of yr 6's were disappointed.

but really, think about it. all this effort we put it won't be wasted de. at least for some people, we did manage to entertain them. and even though most of the people weren't impressed, the team really did put in their best effort, working late till 9:30 on second day for rehearsal, last minute chionging just before the finale itself.

and there was more than just the finale itself. quite a lot of people felt that some of the external activities were really successful, and for me, both days of station-mastering were really fun. yesterday's station was pretty complicated, requiring a broomstick, a cup, a plate and a marshmallow /o\. got a huge backache from picking up the plates and marshmallows that were catapulted on the floor lol. but it was really funny sometimes, and some of the juniors were really damn proooo.

of course there were a few who tried to cheat or to be funny, but otherwise generally the people who played were all pretty nice. mr ho was quite pro. he did 17 in 45s, cos all his hits were so damn consistent that they went to almost the same place each hit. no one could beat mr tan lol, cos that guy seriously too skilled le. 21 in 45s, he was like hitting and catching as fast as i could load the marshmallows and plates haha. i was like in complete awe while he was doing it lol. seriously, what the rui fong :0

today's game was extremely fun too, i really enjoyed just improvising the game on the spot, negotiating with the classes for hints on the station and talking to them in that qian bian manner XD, making them do funny forfeits, and occasionally disturbing them too :P. i really din't think i would be able to do it haha, but i felt that at least some of the juniors were entertained, so it was a really good feeling and satisfying :D.

and we spent all that time filing and painting the key, which in the end, we din't really had to spend so much effort on it. but seriously, i really don't mind haha, cos it was actually pretty fun just working on it with the other people. yong jen really should like frame up that key, cos its actually made up of alot of different parts that can be attached like a puzzle due to all the magnets.

its seriously super cool, but too bad we din't complete it early enough for the amazing race ppl to do the assembling. they would have appreciated it much more if they see how intricate it was. anyway, we really spent alot on effort on that, so it was a pretty good feeling of accomplishment, just not in the way we thought it would be.

it was pretty hard to make it, so i shall describe haha (to make myself feel good :P). on the first day, we got to use the physics lab to cut wooden pieces and plastic acryllic circles, then tried to superglue 2 magnets to each circle. that was really irritating, but at the same time quite epic, cos like every once in a while, someone will be like "oh $%#", cos the magnet would suddenly fly out from its superglued position and get stuck onto another magnet, and we would get hell for trying to seperate them again lolol. but after all that, by the night, we finished all 5 tubes in day one, filled with the stones.

yong jen and a few of us went to make the magnetic sliders, which are seriously darn cool. it required a huge load of time just sitting there and filing, and the sjab ppl were like using some whip sound on his phone lol. then finally we spray painted yesterday all the way till the night while finale was practicing. and finally completed the assembly today morning :D

also made the staff for nobellus with claudia's help :D. mainly some broomstick pole wrapped with crushed newspaper, spray painted, and acryllic painted for a different shade of brown. twirled the leaves around too, so it looked cool heheh. i was so darn proud of it haha, they had to take it from me cos i kept twirling it around and doing random stuff heheh.

lastly, the decorations put on the portal in the center of the hall was kinda on a whim, cos we already had a nice flame and lightning symbol from the spare decorations. it wasn't really a confirmed thing whether it was necessary to make, but after awhile some people just told me heck la if i want make i can go make. was darn rush lol haha, but in the end claudia help me cut, and jiamin was artistically spray-painting it with white and blue lol. actually it was more like anyhow :P. but ya, the crystal was partially his too heheh.

so to complete the remaining, we just took the leaves from the railing twirled in a circle and some paper strips from the waterfall made into a wave, which was abit unfair for fleming :P. so in fact all the symbols were made from spare decorations haha. also decided to take out the key that yong jen and the rest painstakingly made, but we had trouble assembling it without his help, and we were like really fumbling down to the last second. so everything was done just seconds before ppl entered the hall heheh.

it was pretty thrilling. and some of the people were impressed, so i kinda felt proud haha. though jeremy was fumbling with it when he first saw it though, so they went to station bouncers on the decor, which was pretty retarded haha. in the end everything was kinda kicked around, and i know it was kinda a useless decoration, but it was really pretty fun to do it anyway :D

anyway, i know it was pretty tough on some of the people who really slogged all the way till the very end. but really, the teachers were indeed impressed and they acknowledge the effort the whole team put in. like ms chua said, nothing we do will truly go to waste, cos some day we'll look back on this and wonder why we were so crazy to try so hard, but we'll be pretty proud of the effort we put it. so no regrets :). it was a really good experience :D

ok finally finished ranting haha. after ARP report is done, i can go back to my old, relaxed slacking days :D. ok bye~~

boarding dinner

ok i shall try not to rant too much on the practicing for performance part haha.

it was really stressful actually. sometimes i felt really upset, cos pin and jookee could play the song already. they practiced until they were familiar, but for me, i couldn't sing as well as they wanted. it was lacking emotion, lacking power.

i felt like i wasn't putting enough effort, cos after all my role was the easiest to practice for. so i tried my best to accept whatever comments ppl gave me, but of course i felt rather terrible about it too. i kept thinking that i should not have assumed the singing role in the first place, cos i really couldn't do it well. but i guess nobody was really expecting too much i guess, so that kind of kept me going.

on the day itself, we suddenly thought of making our performance like less serious by doing retarded things, that's why there was that short intro at the start and the random panda and the random scene at the end. but i kind of screwed the intro up, cos i was nervous heh. basically cos hyouka had four members, but one of them wants to conserve energy, and we kinda made up the panda thing as satoshi being retarded lol.

it helped make the whole thing less serious and more like a for fun thing, which made me kinda of excited and nervous at the same time just before the performance. i don't really know how to describe it, but its like a very ticklish feeling in the chest that makes u feel like cringing.

i tried to sing with as much ease but yet with emotion. i don't really know how it worked out, but it felt rather genuine for a moment and i was pretty surprised by how much ppl cheered lol. i knew i looked very nervous on stage, so yea since it was my first time i guess ppl wanted to help me. but i was somewhat surprised that i could actually smile lol.

and it felt really good after we finished performing, though i kinda screwed the last scene up too. it was supposed to be funny, but i think we screwed that part up. whatever la. the adrenaline rush after the performance was pretty awesome. and we are lucky we performed first haha, cos we got to enjoy the rest of the performances and eat food. like those performances in the middle probably would be too nervous to eat.

honestly though, i can't decide whether i should continue singing. it feels much less stressful if i just sing to myself but don't perform it to such a big stage. i think it is pretty fun to be in a band, but maybe i should learn an instrument instead. right now i can only practice piano, though i think it'll take too long to master it. i guess i probably won't /o\.

after the first intermission with the photo montage that kept repeating, everyone was like all waiting to start the buffet haha. the names of the food sounded really good, so it made ppl really eager for the thing to start. but yea it disappointed alot of ppl lol. i think it was fine la. i din't eat that much actually, as compared to other buffets. though we felt quite full. i think the fruit punch is a ploy to fill our stomachs up lol.

6B came with their avengers costumes, though i think the men in black were pretty epic. actually alot of epic stuff happened with 6B, but we were kind of too far to see what was happening. there was also kenryk being a grim reaper, and actually lots of impressive stuff. i din't really get the chance to walk around before everyone got seated and see what ppl were wearing though, so i only knew about some things after the whole event was over.

the games were pretty interesting. i liked the trivia, and the other activities were quite funny too. kenryk won the best dressed male haha, and wow he actually put the scythe on dr hang's head lol. then adrian was also wearing some ninja mask with the panda mask :0. its seriously darn scary, cos u can see adrian staring at u from underneath gosh >.<.

i kinda left before the fun got started though. the dj's were too loud, and i din't think that much would happen after that, so i kind of left early. missed out alot of epic stuff and group photos. so with that, the last event of boarding was over, and sigh, i kinda regret i dint really enjoy it as much as others.

i guess i shall put some pictures that i ripped off from many different albums :P (hey at least i bothered too :P), since it was quite a fun event (and kind of remind myself what i missed lol). i don't really know the chronological order, but whatever la.

episode 19 was wow.

  

toradora is darn good. and that doesn't seem to be the right way to describe it either. ok i was abit skeptical of it at the front part, thinking that the plot would be rather standard, cos the front part was quite a joke actually. but the middle was amazing. full of strong emotions and happiness mixed with some bittersweetness.

  

i can't exactly describe it with entertaining too, cos its more like it makes u feel very attached to it or something. that when something happens u feel like ur at a loss for words. can't describe it. but its just so good to watch. yea i probably seem to be acting a bit too impressed here, so fine i shall stop describing...

  

i love how all the anime i watch end their episodes very well. its not like singapore drama or bleach that overused kind of suspense ending, which in bleach case usually results in some op power that came out of nowhere. 

  

the way angel beats and toradora ends their episodes is more like some important decision, event or  feeling happened, and then the ending theme song plays halfway and it links to the ed, and im like "wow that was such a good episode". maybe its why im so hooked to ed songs. and some of them the lyrics are amazing too, and i can actually understand quite a bit haha. ~proud~

  

actually that 'awesome episode feeling' comes out in most of the anime jm introduced to me, but for toradora sometimes u can feel that 'loss for words feeling' when the characters make the 'wrong' decision or something. and ya i think i like toradora better than angel beats now :o. gah i dont want to compare them, both of damn good in their own ways tskk...

  

anyway, yesterday after cca me, pin, jookee and cheeseng went to wcp to eat dinner lolz. actually i ate alr but just tagged along. homemade ice lemon tea! yea this is the third time i mentioned it here :o. and damn i finish it so fast that its never enough...

  

after that, since so many ppl were staying over the night for DSA camp, we wanted to play soccer, but unexpectedly, there was astro in the netball court lolz. after peeking into a few telescopes, we kind of resigned to not being able to play, but then for some reason the school was much brighter that night and the tennis court lights were on. the auditorium too. so we noticed that actually we can play in the futsal court :D. why dint we think of this before? ;-;

  

and by now we have played with each other so much that no matter how random our teams are there's always pretty good teamwork. though it was darker so it was much harder for keeper to save the balls, but still a really good match. actually my definition of good is more like it was fun, and everyone seems satisfied with how they were playing in the match, with opportunities and all that. which i think is what most of us play soccer for.

  

supper was bubur hitam haha. was obsessing about how nice it was even though ppl said it wasn't sweet. after two bowls the sweetness suddenly seemed to disappear and i felt i was eating rice in water lolz. hmph.

  

crashed lee's room that night since jm wasnt around. was obsessing over runescape's member world haha. i always wanted to be a member cos its seriously overwhelming to have more than 100 times of content thrown at u. but doesn't seem like i'd play it alr though. still fun to talk about it though hehe.

after that jookee called me up, and we went to cyrus room awhile slack. actually he was doing work and i was playing ipad lolz. jetpack joyride. damn im officially addicted. i could try to defend myself here... even though i dont feel like playing it until i get my hands on the ipad, then suddenly i feel like playing it lolz. ok weakest defense ever lol :o

  

slept at 2 lmao. i actually woke up rather easily at 6:01. and i actually felt pretty refreshed. amazing man. though being the first to wake gives u the temptation to sleep again lolz. went down by 6:40 to eat, then to audi to bring the students to change into camp t shirt

  

actually i shan't elaborate too much ba. bio lab was fun cos the lesson seemed rather interesting. but the DSA students probably have no idea what normal lessons are like lol. they might think our lessons are always this interesting. anyway, it was actually rather interesting walking around seeing what they do lolz. i feel like some assistant teacher with the knowledge to help them but not allowed to help haha. and there were quite alot of 'cute' mistakes or something, so we (the group ic's of red 7 and red 8) just kept staring at each other and laughing quietly lolz.

  

the bonding part was quite sigh though cos the boys their idea of fun is to disturb other ppl. at first it was like for fun kind, so we entertained them, but after awhile they just spammed disturb xin rong lolz, so haiz. and it was quite hard to control them too cos they kept doing their pranks and dont seem very interested in cooperating, and some of them is like purposely dont listen so haiz...

  

i actually wanted to share with them many things about what i like about school life here that i thought would be interesting, but then i dint get the chance too, cos it was so awkward. we cant even get the self-intro done without half of them losing interest, so haiz... yea la i was like that last time too, but it feels quite sian to see that the p6's idea of fun is to purposely disturb each other and try to insult each other and argue bout the most meaningless of things lolz. feel like explaining this to them (as in not scolding kind la), but im not really in a position to do so...

  

anyway, this is quite a long post liao. tmr gonna have lunch with jookee, jiamin, zhengwei and their jap buddies. its slightly earlier though, so im worried i wont wake up in time. so i gotta hope that i wake up as easily at 9 tmr today. and i hope nothing screws up like all the previous outings i had lololz. gah if i had my own jap buddy id spam him with all the sg food here that he'll explode :o. assuming i wont be too awkward when he actually comes here lolz. which would prolly happen :o. anyway, i need to set up my Zeo thing now. goodnight :)

gonna continue posting bout yesterday lolz. after i went down, met chee seng, jookee and zheng wei in tv room, who were playing wii for awhile. actually thursdays are the best time to slack like that after pe. anyway, we ate dinner, and then during dinner we decided to sing his birthday song darn loudly lolz. and yea he was overreacting and cowering all over the floor. as usual XD

anyway, after that we decided to play soccer. even jm the maple addict went to play lolz. it was really epic cos the perfect number of ppl were playing. like 8-9. even though me and pin had lee and junwei in our team, the other team was seriously darn good also. loo + jookee + jiamin + bradley passing damnnn good de, then chee seng was keeping. was seriously darn epic and balanced. we all tried darn hard to score but after 1 hour only had about 2 or 3 goals. though there were alot of chances to score.

and yea at first jookee missed alot, so we were like "happy birthday" to suan him lolz. but he did score a hat trick in the end. shuen and yong jen joined at abt 8, so it got kinda crowded after that, but still a really good game overall. ended at 8:30 since we played for so long already.

after that there was pizza for pantry party. ate like 2 pizzas lolz and got so freaking bloated heheh. sang some songs, then breaked for awhile before the cake. and yea jookee had to smear my face with cream lolz.

actually i wanted to watch that germany match after that, but even though i tried to sleep from around 12, i only fell asleep at abt 2, so yea they dint wake me up for that match. i think it was rather epic too, seeing they were all so energised at abt 5 am in the morning lolz. and dead at 7 am in the morning :P

today was quite ok too. haha morning assembly was quite a surprise when they were announcing the number of mnm's in that jar that was there on thursday. so when i heard the first 3 numbers i was like holy shocked. i guessed there were 1234 mnm's and actual number was 1237 so i only missed the exact number of mnm's by 3 lolol. and yea my number's kinda a troll right XD. anyway hooray i won like 200 mnm's lolz.

anyway we had mentoring first, though i used the time to talk about outing. darn sad that monday ppl got shangrila buffet. seems like our class was quite excited about outing though. but there isn't much available dates for cycling + mind cafe, so maybe we could simplify it to some short bowling outing. at least that's what dr dewey suggested.

had math first, which wasnt much actually. seeu kun spilled my mnm's though, so the numbers got halved, though about 50 were already eaten before she spilt it. of course not all by me la. after math had break until 12. today's youth day booth was quite fun, cos they had all the random games lolz. boon chong, aris, ram and kesh happened to be there too, and then we just used their stuff to make up random games lolz. spent bout 30 minutes there lolz.

like at first there was this soft bat balloon thing that we're supposed to throw hoops into (and yea its freakin hard cos of my height disadvantage). and then we converted that into some mini baseball game lololz. and they were throwing balls from epic distances to hit the board or try to go through the hoop, but keep epic missing, so half the time they ended up on the grass o.o. i think the SCs got darn tired of picking up hoops and balls lolz.

after that went to tv room to slack with my class. taught seeu kun how to play bridge lolz. after that we stoned there not knowing what to do until we decided to watch paranormal activity. sheesh it has such a normal life feel to it at first that it seems rather realistic D:. i hope i dont get nightmares, cos i usually never do anyway :o

me and yx had to rush to chinese cos we finished the movie at abt 12:06 lolz. chinese was mainly discussing about oral topics. the lesson was quite fun cos li liangzi is really nice, plus even though we were all eating and using our phone and stuff, at least everyone was paying attention to what she said. this sem's chinese gonna be much more serious though cos of the A-levels. plus oral is coming. feels kinda big, so i think i have no choice but to read a bit over this weekend. ~sigh~ 

after chinese ended i decided to buy my lunch. at 1:55. not bad XD. lolol my class was like all asking me to jiayouz. anyway, managed to cram everything down except the rice and made it in time for chem.

chem was ok la, though i forgot to bring notes. and wow i think mr koh is quite good cos i can understand his teaching quite well, though we need to keep doing the worksheets before the lessons cos he always goes through them as though we have already finished it. anyway at the end he played some video which was some song to remember the galvanic cells. so retarded lololz.

the chorus so retarded lololz. and then after like so many cycles, everyone keep saying "where?". even after lesson ended, the girls from our class keep saying "where?". so retarded XD.

cca was mostly a fining session la lololz. go around collecting money from ppl. mostly we just plan the allocation of photographers, and also some events. yay week 3 going to that new marina park thing. quite excited about it haha. though we have to do our "homework" this week lolol. which is overdue by like 3 months heheh.

ok la thats all for now. my mom's prolly gonna come soon. don't really want to go back, cos this week was kinda awesome. ok bye~~

crashing the last day of SIMC

im a crazy person. though u prolly knew that alr.

so firstly, due to some sort of luck, i actually got an opportunity to see what SIMC is like even though i did not sign up as helper at all lolz.

i went to sch early this morning. early cos i was curious about what was going on in sch. but turns out nobody was there. in fact they just set off for their amazing race, which i just knew about after that lolz.

i was mainly supposed to collect my last laundry which i forgot to bring home, as well as a few things i dint bring home, and to check out of hostel. dint know what made me want to go MBS lolz, cos thats where their first station was. but yea i actually did lolz. it was frustrating though, i had to change mrt line 3 times to get to bayfront.

got out at bayfront. initially got lost at MBS shopping mall. i couldnt find the way out >.<. its so huge and its like first time ive been there lol. felt like a tourist in fact.

when i finally made out by asking for directions, they were doing some station at the helix bridge, which i also never been to before (i know i have no life). but anyway, they were playing rather interesting games. one was each group member of a group have to take a photo with different pose in some sort of frame. not hard, and its actually kinda cute lolz. some of the photos there were quite epic :P

not going to search for photos now though. it might still not be there, or whatever. i think ill repost by adding pictures, if u'd bother reading the repost lolz.

they also played some picture guess game where a few members go to some platform about 10+ m away, so they are seperated over the sea and have to guess what picture the other side is drawing. quite cool lolz.

so it happens that pin is the only photographer for that route. basically there are 15 groups and 5 for each route, and there's only one photographer for each route lol. so basically im an auxilliary helper :D. im like a substitute SLO though they dint need one, and also later helped take photos, even though they dint really need it lolz. which means i do nothing and just enjoy the thing :P

anyway, they moved on to YOG park to play chapteh, which was actually really hard for them. even i cant do more than two most of the time, though i did an epic combo of 7 with mr game, where we kinda flew everywhere :D. i remember that guy from day 0 (at the airport). he is so interesting :D

so after every station there's a clue, but this one was kinda screwed cos its dx/dt = 1. dont ever give that clue to math students. they just overthink it. some people were like x = t LOL. that wasnt the point. basically the clue is formula one, and dx/dt is also velocity, which hints f1, but still damn hard to guess lolz.

then to f1 to do some really simple task. i dont even know whats it supposed to be. then went to flyer foodcourt to eat. we jaywalked a couple of times, even though army open house was there :P. but zzz, even some of the army dudes jaywalked lol. so they cant say anything :P

after lunch, and a few photos, the group i was following, group 2, which i kinda stuck to the whole time, was kinda late. we were last to leave. anyway, we reached esplanade, where there were photos of different places there, and we have to go find the place, take photo, and spot the difference. but there were decoys!

there was a photo of a lift (the capacity weight and number of ppl), so the teachers in the group, mr game, and the taiwan teacher were damn funny. they were taking photos of the thing in the lift lol. the other ppl using the lift were like sniggering :P. the security guard was like what the heck are we doing lolol.

anyway, we kinda blew through that station rather quickly, maybe abit due to rong's cheating, cos she knew where the places were located, so she just pointed in the direction where there are alot to find. after that we went outside and took group photos of the fun sign. jumpshot nobody got power though lol.

made our way to merlion park, which is just across the bridge from esplanade. there was lack of time already though, so dint get to do the station, which was a taboo game (aha class outing). there was a chance to take retarded photos, but they dint seem to know how to make fun poses though, so sigh... nvm ba lolz.

last station was padang, which was a long walk, and by the time we reached there, everyone was kinda beat already. at least the end had some sort of amazing race feel to it, and fong shi yi (yr 4 nobel vice captain i think) was dressed as flight stewardess lolz. actually suits her quite well leh...

thing about the amazing races our sch organises is that nobody does the side tasks, even though they're very fun. we did one at the end though, since we had to wait for other groups from all routes anyway. did the simc 2012 one. was kinda fun getting them to do it actually. ok so photos arent out yet. i mean it just ended anyway...

haiz it was quite fun pretending to be and SLO haha. even though obviously i dont seem to be like one.

fell asleep on the bus back, then woke up at tembusu lol. the lobby is damn nice le, like some hotel like that. even the hostel the design outside makes u think its some condo and there's a swimming pool nearby lol. then i realised its just next to u town starbucks lolol. walked back to sch with png.

went for the closing ceremony. i ended up being auxilliary photographer haha. was kinda tiring and cold though, but at least got something to do ba. usher quite sad they have to stand at the door just to guide ppl went they go out of audi or when they are being led to stage. anyway, after all the prize presentation, where north carolina won, they explained the problem.

the problem dint sound hard when they said it, but omg whats with the solutions. freakin mindblown lolz. but it did make sense, some of it. i like the chief judge. he keeps making really funny jokes lolz. cool dude :P

after that went to eat buffet food. even the students one is not bad. it looks like homecooked food, but it tastes really good, especially the veg and fish. sick of hostel veg already, cos its always so screwed in some way. im not sure i actually deserved the food though :P

the farewell party is no short of crazy though. i liked the first part, where dice played, then the australian guy with long hair went up and shook his hair like some rock star, turning the whole crowd wild haha. the french guy with locks also went to join him.

they did it for quite long though. the australian guys face was kinda red and he actually nosebled during the third or fourth song though. but anyway dice really improve quite a bit now.

after that it was some sexy dance from yr 6 though. jiamin described it as a skanky dance. ok not skanks, but it was kinda disturbing though lolz. after that there was minus^2 doing some hip hop as usual.

then it got even wilder when it was about to end, and ppl all went to the stage to dance. they even put disco lights, and when they added the dry ice, it was kinda cool though. i was actually up there just joining in, but when the dry ice came, i couldnt see much and it gave some sort of hallucinatory feel. really creepy lololz.

then they all started gathering in a circle and a few ppl go into the center and start showing some cool moves that really hypes up the entire crowd. it was really wild though. i was actually kinda taken aback cos they danced like there was no tomorrow or something. completely mindblown man.

well even though i dint really relish in the fun by jumping around crazily, like almost all of them were, i could feel they were really happy to be here, at least most of them. in fact, the super hyped-up ending prolly made it really memorable to them, albeit abit insane, but still, wow. i think they really enjoyed being here. thanks goodness i was here to at least experience this part of SIMC.

anyway, it ended at abt 9:30. siao de im supposed to be back home at 10:00, but yes im crazy. right im blogging right now, at abt 1:30. i really am crazy lolz. even though i just missed the whole day and dint finish my ca articles. D:

ok so we HAD to clear EVERYTHING, which means i brought back quite a bit more than i expected, and my bag couldn't store it. which means i have no choice but to car back. i mean who carries a bolster around MRT lolol. helped pin as his room service lol. bring down his stuff for him while he packed. took forever lol. he finally finished at like 11:30 and i hitched a rather thrilling and freaky ride back home from his dad's powerful bmw lolz.

surprisingly im not dead now, maybe cos my mum actually fell asleep. wow lucky. so i guess the day has been wonderful. kinda shows how a little bit of enthusiasm can pay off so much. in fact, being SC/SL is actually super fun. they're like the group who actually knows what awesome high school life is about, but sigh my conduct zah... but haha enthusiasm does pay off in the end :D

i think i need to go back sch at least twice next week lolz. just when i finally got accustomed to having time to slack. i realised there's so many things to do that im actually out of holidays in my high school life to ever accomplish them. damn i wasted like my past 4 years of holidays on unworthy stuff. sighs...

so yep maybe i wouldnt be able to sleep early today again. i tried yesterday ok, but it took me 3 hours to fall asleep. i guess reading an amazing visual novel doesnt help before sleep though. and happy thoughts. i wasnt cursing that i couldnt sleep, cos the thoughts made me kinda happy heheh. ok la enough for this post le. bye~~

if thinking was enough to make me happy, i wonder what it'll be like when it actually happens in real life :P

lolol posting this so late

so basically last week tuesday, we had some english workshop in the morning. the thing was quite boring but the movies shown were quite good actually.

after that it ended at around 11:30. was supposed to go NUS for the ARP thing but then the delivery woman from tees maniac came late. and seeu kun was supposedly busy as she is backup mc for simc, and ruth had cluster outing, so i was supposed to handle it. ended up i left my phone is hostel cos no batt need charge >.< . thank goodness simc rehearsal ended really early though. so seeu kun was there to help.

so while the rest chilled out in the classroom (the air-con was on), we waited until like 2+ before the woman came, then we realised she was just there to give us sample shirts to try out and see the sizes :o.

anyway, slacked off until dinner time. there was intercluster bridge i was really excited lolz. then after that i realised my name wasnt in the list, cos i dint register >.< . damn dumb le. thank goodness i replaced pradeep hehe, so i help them earn participation points. doesn't matter actually, cos our cluster only 1 point from jookee lolz.

anyway, the first round was really good. i was really lucky first round, but i was being damn ... how to say. basically i was really excited and being really obvious lolz. won with damn nice points though. i got 16+4+1. 16 from bidding 4 and succeeding, cos when u bid ur points is ur bid number squared, and if u dint bid, ur points is how many tricks ur opponent lost by. so i was smiling over to jiamin and pin they all, who were like the last guys in the canteen lolz.

round 2 i was quite sad though. i just got pretty normal hands, but i got sabo-ed real bad by the vietnamese girl. bid 3, lost by 4 sets -.-. grah 16 points man... if played properly would be losing by only 4 points, which means my final points 9 will be greater than ahmad's 8. then the winner would have been someone different lolz. whatever, got kicked out but at least the last round i won 9 points to make up for failing twice >.<

jookee also got outed in second round due to russell lolz, but actually his mistake wasnt that big lor. my partner's mistakes cost me like 12 points, no joke man. felecia actually got into next round lolz. apparently the night before after class outing she was practising for bridge lolol. mugger :P

but for the semifinals there was only 4 vacancies while there were 6 ppl for one table. so the lowest 4 in points had to compete again, just 1 round only. not really a fair way to choose. anyway, it was yx, jazlene, mr tan (rui feng) and felecia, and she lost cos she had 3 aces only, but dint get called by jazlene, whose diamonds were very strong. so ouch. she was quite upset for a period of time. actually most of us were actually. i was quite stressed out in the game and 20 minutes after that lolz.

so all of us losers went to the losers table to play lolz. was surprised nicole was kicked out first round. the rest of us lost in second round. spent the rest of the time playing and talking lolz, until like 10. winner was ahmad. but aha what if i kicked him out in that second round? then the winner would be different liao lolz. whatever la, play for fun lolz.

anyway, went back hostel, bathed, and went to kian wee's room to play jap mahjong (shhh >.<). feels so good playing real jap mahjong. we were arguing about the rules and all that though lolz. but was quite shiok. i won seldomly, but usually big win heheh. i got like 4 dora kan and a all pong hand, so i fake pong to freak them out cos i was waiting for last tile already. hehe so fun lolz :P

going out before AP mock

yesterday, before speech day went to take photo for cp. i dint know cp was quite big, and that quite a few juniors take it too. the club looks kinda fun actually. had quite a lot of fun taking it lolz.

speech day itself was boring. i kept trying to sleep but i cant cos the chair is so uncomfortable. but thats cos i slept at 3:30 the previous day watching jookee play jap mahjong lolz.

after that went out to eat cos we had free kfc combo meal from the coupons on the chips we got after laserquest. by right more of us shud go out, but then jm, png and joo kee wanted to sleep. jookee not really his fault lolz but the rest were just lazy -.- and loo had pre u sem so weiren stayed with him. chee seng too.

so left me, pin, hema, lee and fiona. but they had some disagreement so both were too upset to go out. so left me, pin and hema. we tried to jio someone, since so little ppl. at first saw some girls from my class but they ate alr plus felecia suppose to go back home soon. so we tried jioing random ppl. hema tried to jio hansol lolz woa. and pin tried jio-ing random juniors o.o. but none worked so left 3 of us only...

turned out to be quite fun though. and after that bought back 4 briyani's and whip potato and coslaw for all of them. however we popped one bag of curry just in front of the hostel gate >.<.

briyani was actually kinda nice, especially mutton, which was damn tasty. chicken briyani abit ex for taste but mutton definitely worth it.

after that we slacked. foo came to our room and wrecked havoc with his half naked body -.-, and me and jookee tenhou-ed for awhile. then later we all fell asleep lolz. only left my room at abt 7, while the rest of them stayed back, jm and png for cip and jookee for talent search. surprised to see that she was still there lolz.

anyway today i went out with my mum to ChangiCity point to eat lunch. i know some wont approve though... since its so close to AP mock

anyway, its just next to expo, and its kind of new so we werent expecting so many ppl. however when we got there, there was a really long queue for the carpark -.-  so my mum had to cancel her facial at 2:30.

but anyway, it looks very nice from outside, plus have lots of greenery outside. turns out inside also quite nice. theres lots of plants stuff inside and some glass covered places with plants and rock inside, and also roof seems to have some gardenish thingy. but it rained after we finished our meal at toastbox lolz. anyway, chicken curry and laksa was good, but heaty on such a hot day lolz.

after that went up to see some stuff. shoe shop had asics shoes (u know the brand zhengwei wears). got some damn nice le plus $55 only so i wanted to buy. but that one was womens cut. plus all the nice designs were womens cut while all the guys cut was the overboardly designed ones and expensive ones with shock absorbent gel.

so anyway my mum asked me to ask ppl whether i shud get the womens cut one anyway? actually the way she said it was with some falsetto my big sis likes to use. "the design of the women one is so awwwesome, but the design of the mens one is awwwful." oh god lolz. anyway, its kinda worth it for its price, so shud i buy? hmm..

and also she dint buy her ipad last week cos it was sold out. so she's contemplating whether to get galaxy tablet or something instead of ipad. i have no idea which is better, so anyway who knows which one is more worth it? i shud go ask some ppl like weiren or yx.

laser quest

ok so i dint mention something yesterday. that i sprained my foot during soccer. such that when i woke up in the morning it was really screwy. but after sitting for 3+ hours in lessons it kinda healed itself. but actually it doesnt feel like a very bad thing though, cos after i rub the oil in not very pain liao, and also other than playing sports, i can still do anything.

anyway, first lesson was chem, which was ms wong cos dewey was absent. not sure why. ms wong said "lets just say he hurt himself", which is somewhat ambiguous lolz. anyway ms wong's lesson is quite interesting cos she teaches well.

after that was english. presentations today were actually all pretty damn good. felicia's one was some prezi thing which is cool and boon xin's one is interesting even though its not current affairs. even lowell's one is not bad, even though he always seems like he cant be bothered bout english. gah smart ppl in my class >.<

chinese was cancelled so i went back to my room after eating. watched first half of "three idiots" with everyone + yong jen. then jm wanted to sleep at 3 so we stopped. jookee also went to sleep. damn retarded i woke them up at 4, then both bargain 5 mins, then bargain another 10 mins, until it was like 4:20. in the end had to jump jookee to wake him up. apparently jiamin dreamt that he was doing his pe, so prolly damn confusing when he woke up...

anyway pe did nothing cos she dismissed those who dint want to retake, which i dint expect. went back up slack until 6:30 then went down eat and wait for laser quest. went to the chess competition there to burn time. i beat yu han lolz, but we both made crazy mistakes lol cos was rushing. haiz i shud have participated hehe.

laserquest was kinda interesting, though the game was kind of messed up. first game was just killing as many ppl as possible, with infinite respawns as long as u go back to base. i had some shotgun that shoots bullets in a triangle, so i cant freakin shoot straight. plus its damn hard to hit ppl, but damn easy to get hit >.<  but also quite fun la plank myself next to table, or in the bushes to shoot at ppl, though i cannot hit them with my gun...

second match was elimination, so we cannot just anyhow chiong cos each team has only 10 respawns. the battle at the stairs below the hall was crazy la. ppl just enter from both side and shoot each other. prob is when u get hit u cant do nuts for a few secs cos ur thing stops for awhile, and the shooter also, so we keep running in and out.

and their other team damn jian de la, cos they dont bother to respawn, so they just use their dead man to distract us and all that. sean seet damn jian la, keep using his body block me and pester ppl. feel like melee-ing him in the head lol, but not allowed la.

in the end we lost cos we respawned 10 times, even though we killed so many of them. i actually ksed 2 ppl and got 2 kills and 22 hits cos my gun has infinite ammo but i dont know how to use it. bradley has 60+ hits though, freakin ghey. anyways, the thing was interesting, but the gameplay so-so ba. doesnt feel like the super high kind of cluster outing. but screw that we still had chips party lolz.

yea la thats bout it la. cant believe i made today sound so boring zzz. ok time to sleep le bye~~

day started off with epic assembly. so many ppl went up to claim awards. bet weiren was damn sian trying to take photos

during chem, i realised i dint bring pencil case to school wtheck is wrong with me :/  anyway, chem test and assignment im very satisfied so yea.

math died again i dont see how everyone in our school managed to score 5 or something. i find it quite hard le... though ppl said nothing compared to BC.

english wrote crap. at first i tot i wrote ok cos i could use metaphors, but plotwise i got stuck until i had no choice but to write utter bullshit :(. doesnt matter though, only best 2 chosen, and 2 B- is ... ok la.

there was aesthetic appreciation today. japanese drums. quite interesting la, but quite repititive also. after that went back room slept till 6:30. ate and then went to concert.

the concert not bad la. kind of got distracted after awhile though. nothing much to say really. then after that there was lucky draw, where everyone was damn high. damn our whole cluster dint win anything. saw daryl's number floating at the side of the bowl, and mr chang's fingers grabbing papers around it lol.

then when the big prizes came it was dr hang who was choosing. damn sad alot ppl missed by just one number haha. in the end fong shiyi won the ipad. lucky le. maybe cos she got injured and luck took pity on her lolz.

but damn when we got back i wasnt sure whether to tell BO that i nvr apply for late return. cos its like looking for trouble and no one did it. in the end lee chan lye came up to find us. got my 4th warning le damn it. im so screwed. have to come back by 4 this sunday haiz...

now my overall mood is quite sian le, which is usually quite rare during mondays cos i seldom die out so fast.hope something epic would happen like things in the last 2 weeks. really need such stuff to happen to keep me going. ee rather moody post :/  hope i post better next time. anyway i dont foresee myself doing anything tonight. so bye.

open house 2012

woke up late on that day lolz. actually i woke up when alarm sounded, so i pushed jookee to wake him up so that he would wake me up while i went back to sleep cos i felt so groggy. but i think he went back to sleep too lolz.

anyway, went down at around 8. met with mr syed and me and pin ate. after that we went up and there were alr so many ppl there...



i was actually kinda impressed by how they can make our school seem so cool. then i realised actually we did all of this stuff before, but dint think they were interesting lolz. anyway im not going to go by chronological order, cos i kept walking around. ill just put in here section by section

firstly, catalyser had all this damn cool experiments. there was this boy was saying how his grandfather was an alchemist, who could turn copper>silver>gold


turns out to be copper with some zinc oxide coating reacting to from brass. cool eh.

there were also the dry ice and other cool stuff, but the most interesting one was the liquid nitrogen thing. knowing that our fingers can drop off if u touch that thing, even we havent got the chance to play with it. cos the school knows we fool around too much to ever handle liquid N2 safely lolz.

basically there was this canister where u put a balloon in and it deflates until really damn small.


then when u take it out, u can see the air inside expanding


then there was the liquid nitrogen biscuits. those dont conduct so much heat of u, so its safe to eat. the cool thing is that alot of mist comes out of ur mouth :P

physics interest group had this wire mesh pipe thing that went u put a bunsen burner below, it makes this sound due to resonance. i dont even understand :/


and the gyroscope thingy, which lots of p6 kids found it fun. still dunno how it works lolz.


bio interest group was the fossils we did in yr 4 bio, lots of microscopes, and there was the DNA alchohol thingy that seeu kun was in charge of.

but mainly what we did there was see jean camwhore. and we took photos. for jookee's sake :P
 

math interest group was also rather cool. the those kind of puzzles which i obsess over but realise they are a waste of time :o. and yea chenglei was making really nice 3D shapes

and there was also his cool prism origami thingy

and there was this pair of smart kids who said smart stuff to their parents, who were also saying smart stuff

there was also the school programme posters, language posters, student development posters. went over there to slack off, cos jookee, png and jiamin were there. kept prank shooting jm, but he keeps overpowering me and delete the photos. damn man, gym is buffing him up :o

at the end i decided to follow jon koo's tour, and i realised that actually the 6th floor is still kinda cool. ive never been to the math ict lab, and the analytic chem lab went there only once, with those cool machines lolz. dint realise how cool they were until all the parents were like amazed by the machinery.

after that went to the design engineering lab, where yr 1 and 2's get to play with wood and stuff, and also 3D printers..

thats freakin cool man. no fair i want to go back to year 1 and take that course >.<

lastly, went to the house rooms. realised i nvr actually been there. nobel's room is kinda cool. they made all these contraptions and have darts, and basically they dont have much budget but they made good use out of it. ours has wii, but i dont think many play with it lolz...

then after that went back up to slack off again. meizhen tricked me and pin into telling us about what we do, then we realised she hasn't actually said anything except qns. tskkk. scammed. after that i had to go back earlier though, cos duty was alr done, and my mum was alr on her way to fetch me. forgot to bring back the floor mat again :o. its super dirty by now...

anyway, gtg le. i scared el presentation la wth man i hate my register number >.<.

andreea's sis' concert + intercluster soccer part 2

when i came from hostel last friday, i just crashed on the sofa, ate, then crashed for 13 hours. turns out it wasnt as epic as jm and pin's waking up at 4 lol.

anyway, after class, went to drink coffee again, then shop some stuff. bought peach jelly :D. its gone by now. not bad le damn refreshing + they said no preservatives or the common bad stuff.

reached home at 5:20 lolz. couldnt tell them till then that id be eating at home since i left my phone at home. anyway, got fetched there in the end at abt 7pm.

firstly went up glass staircase. walao why so good de one corridor dedicated just for the concert hall. anyway, got introduced to her sis tamira. pin was called "pin-er" and jiamin was called "woman" lol.

after that, went in. why their concert hall look so ghey de. our school audi design sucks la -.-. plus they have a ghey ass AV unit in the center, so u can "show off" + the AV unit at the back the room look damn cool lol. jiamin wanted to rage-quit media and go join the av in this school lolz.

anyway, the performance was very nice ba. during the intermission we went out, and were kinda forced to donate to get drinks. can u believe jia min donated? lol.

we also went to eat at the place where all the $50 ticketers were eating lol. the cai dao quay and beehoon not bad le. much better than sch one lolz.

after that, there was about five more songs. then they had encore cos the alumni wanted one more song. so the performance ended at abt 9:20. then we took bus to coffeeshop to eat indian food lol. looks kinda good actually, but since i ate alr, no point buying.

after that we went to andreea's. fiona wanted to walk around the house, for dunno what reason lol. so, me, junwei and her went to walk around the house. so i led the way, and then when they turned the corner i scared them lol. oh god i bet it was freakin scary lolz.

after that we sat around in the house playing village until pin's parents came and fetched me.

went back to hostel at 3:30 the next day. jookee was on the same bus on me, but he chose to be a feg and hide until the last moment. started raining as we approached school. damn. we all gathered at concourse to wait it out and randomly passing balls to each other. yu fong was passing balls from one end of concourse to the other :o

the rain seemed to subside at around 4, so we tot maybe we could get to play, but then all of a sudden it started raining super heavily. damn it keeps raining on sundays -.-

but still we continued downstairs. dint feel like playing captain's ball, cos got so many chinese scholars, so the rest of us went to play volleyball. the badinton net was damn low, so we built some sort of stand out of chairs lol. we were scared someone whack the net, then the whole thing would collapse, but it was much more stable than we expected.

was freakin fun sia. somehow everyone there kinda knows how to play as a team, so some rallies were really epic. and volleyball is just fun cos of all the teamwork needed lol. we shud play some other time :D

anyway, from thurs onwards the whole week was rather eventful. firstly after all the lessons there was napfa. and yeah my sbj "method" seems to work, but i had to try numerous times before hitting a 220, or 219 actually lolz, so i doubt ill get D on the real thing.

shuttle run i used the jeryl sim method, which is dam good in fact. got 10.3. i think the 10.1 i got last year was mistake by time /o\.

so i think i kind of maxed out my scores using techniques alr. the rest all depend on fitness, which isnt exactly my forte. ok fine im weak. really weak. but still...

anyway after that, bathed then skipped dinner, cos we're eating out. so i just joined them downstairs till it was around 7. lol all the ppl who dint go were like ganging up on us saying how hunger games is gonna suck. dont be jealous :P. even if ur not.

we all left by bus to cathay. lots of chatter, especially bout whether gale or peeta is hotter or whatever. i really dont mind, cos good looks kind of distracts u from the story? like i expected katniss to have tan skin but the movie makers made her some hollywood star so whatever.

so yea came back at like 12:20am lolz. mr ricardo was quite ticked, cos one whole bunch of us came back late. thank goodness no punishment i would die if i ever get one more.

after that, we continued slacking off in the room sia. until like 3am. which was like crazy considering there was cross country in 4 hours time.

woke up at like 6:10 next day. ate hasty breakfast then went to gather there. our bus left damn late la o.o, so we burned off time with heart attack lolz. wuliao ppl.

anyway reached there at around 7:30, and basically we slacked until it was 9 something when it was time for us to run. cos for some reason they pull forward the schedule to run. anyway cross country there were lots of photos but since i wasnt really involved in anything, shant really put photos... maybe except this XP



so anyway, at first most of us dint know what to do so we walked off to some further place where there was less ppl to just talk and all that. then we went back to tent area and played cards till it was time to run. and there were monkeys climbing all around lolz.

anyway the run wasnt that fantastic. ok its not supposed to be lolz. actually the forest trail was quite interesting cos it wasnt constant, but the roadside one was boring. shudnt have ran down slopes. the jerking gave me a stitch halfway through... which kept acting everytime got hard impact.

after that we just went back and slack around until the thing ended. made our way to junction 8 to eat. some of us split up to eat at macs and the 4th floor food court. anyway, i ate pepper lunch again :o. lol but beef doesnt seem as nice as tasty as chicken. still good lol.

after that chee went to join wong for hunger games movie lol. wong wasnt there at first lolz, then end up chee follow him. chee loves wong tho he doesnt show it :P.

the rest of us except png and junwei went to P0MO, which is quite a new mall, next to sota. sota is damn cool lor, even the entrance is freakin impressive. its actually quite worthy to be a tourist attraction, cos it looks kinda cool, tho the art pieces was criticized by jookee lolz. actually nothing special de just shapes :o

anyway, pomo is quite different. it has lesser clothes stores and more different type of shops like an anime shop and a musical instruments shop with all the cool-looking guitars. actually not really la those just spray painted only lolz. but anime shop is quite rare, so me jookee and chee seng were checking it out after pool.

but anyway before that we played pool. apparently its really cheap, like $3 per person, and the tables are the bigger sized ones. even the balls and the cues are much more nicer to play with, for some reason. and got music, though it kept repeating lol.

last match was damn epic. me and jookee played against loo and wei ren. due to balls clustering at some area, followed by a damn hard whack to it, the arrangement of the balls were kinda screwed, so the game was super long. then suddenly they scored like 3 lucky shots la lolz. "power of love" according to them. in the end came down to last black ball and they won lolz. was damn fun haha.

actually we have to many pool photos alr :o

after that we all took bus back, just for the sake of sleeping while travelling. everyone fell asleep on the bus, weiren on loo lolz. i woke up abt 15 min before bus reached and turned around saw everyone sleeping lolol. result of sleeping at 3 just before cross country, then going out.

after that we came back and although supposed to crash, most of us dint. sat there and talked bout boarding soccer, assessing ppl. there wasnt much point anyway, cos our team just not ghey enough. but we'll still fight on lolz.

k i need remember my 88 words/phrases and do math journal with jook tonight. bb ~~
