career day...

signed up for talk A and L. talk A was about accounting. at first, i thought the pay was damn high, cos everyone say accountant is rich, and the CPA thing make me thing like they are some superprivelleged group, but anyway its abt 3k a month ._.  like that how to buy house? need 10 years to get 400k or something, and u spend that in 4 years of overseas college without scholarship >.<

ok for the first talk cos at least i learnt something, but B and C are just trying to convince u to go in SMU or NUS Business School. wasnt expecting it to be like that, cos i tot career day was like, talk about life of accountant or what they do, or else talk about what is learnt in finance or whatever. in the end, the last 2 talks ended up like some university popularity contest >.<  anyway, maybe i should have attended talk F about engineering, but most probably they were talking about joining NUS Science Faculty. (no difference, i heard ppl almost fell asleep there).

after that there was break, and we met jon and weiren, and they were spamming the refreshments XP. Typical Singaporeans. i think i accidentally cut in while some hacker looking caucasian professor was taking the noodles o.O. to think we are eating the same food...

there was this NS booth there about MINDEF, which i really have no idea what they are doing. there was some super simple questionaire and i got free water bottle, the GOOD type, where the plastic is strong and doesnt leak. i dont know how much they pay just to give that away ._. anyway, if u took the brochure, DONT sign the form... i heard its 7 year bond to army o.O (maybe its not that bad, but still its scary...)

fiona and mingwei both took the same talks, and were interested in the same stuff, so at first mingwei thought that they would be stuck together for dunno how many years, but they almost forgot then guys have NS for TWO years. i screwed up NAPFA, so i need the extra training period ._. ouch, i dun wanna be a guy...

 single degree is awesome, like 3h a day, much better than what we having now, although there are alot of things to do in uni. at first, i thought going to uni was damn scary cos will be freakin dificult, but then i realised that probably around 50% of all Singaporeans are graduates? so definitely can be able to finish uni. but i still slightly worried...

double degree is insane... its like 2X the work so while ur friends slack around, u have lessons :o and u stay in uni for 4.5 years >.< that would mean im 25 when i graduate? no way man... thats just shocking... so old already >.< anyway u need a CAP of 4.5 to go in? what? make uni sound like some insanely difficult place. NUS is top 30th university though, so definitely wont be easy.

physics was quite interesting though, and chee and wong were there too XD. anyway, to quote wong: "physics is the most advanced science, cos chem comes from physics, and bio comes from chem". his physics damn pro, then take physics olympiad somemore... surely got some advantage. i like the guy who was giving the talk, even though he was abit soft. the content was quite interesting, and the first year modules look like what we are learning now XD.

later he show this table comparing the 3 unis and although NTU and SMU beat NUS in 1 or 2 areas, and he was saying that it was obvious which one was better XD. so maybe i shouldnt go SMU after all... maybe i shouldnt even take finance. just earn less money, but do more interesting jobs. too early to think about this anyway...

lee was saying that the sucky week was over, cos he dint like it at ALL, but i tot the first 2 days were quite nice? anyway after that, we stayed back to play soccer as usual, but it was wet, so it was uncomfortable like sai. the game was soso, and not very interesting. though i scored, i dint really feel like i did something awesome... so the game was screwed up in that way.

after that we all took bus home. and we played bridge again. i played with wong, chee and jiamin. at first wong thought that jiamin was my partner and was scared cos his hearts damn gay. but then after that i realised jiamin mindscrewed me... let me one set then talk like his my partner... then i dint eat him for THREE sets.... gahhhh, stupidity. im sorry cheechee...
